Unfortunately, I did not get to enjoy the experience but, I booked a couples massage for my wife and my mother in law and they said they had a great experience. They said the service and expertise that was displayed was awesome. Price wise I felt it was reasonable, if you want quality you should pay for it! On top of that we had to reschedule the appointment a couple times and they were so accommodating. Thanks for the great experience. Recommend for sure! read more

Went here for a couples massage. They also provided with some champagne and chocolates. Highly recommend the massage! It was really nice and they have free parking. After the massage, we got brunch at Cove House and then visited the cove to check out the seals. It was a perfect Sunday date :) read more

My boyfriend and I book couples massages here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. The ambiance is so nice I've caught myself falling asleep during my massage. I purchased the deluxe couples massage retreat for my husband and I for Xmas. We have had several couples massages at different locations before but this spa quickly became our favorite and we are now planning on returning every couple months. Angie had a wonderful, kind, and caring personality. She had very delicate hands with a really nice soft touch with the right amount of pressure for all the knots throughout my body. I did not get the name of the second masseuse but my husband was pleased with his services also. The champagne was delicious and although their website mentioned chocolate covered strawberries, we received chocolates instead. I did not mind this minor discrepancy because they are my all time favorite chocolate. The foot spa and foot massage was absolutely amazing. The entire spa in general had a very calming and relaxing mood and Angie's great personality was the cherry on top. The massage room was very spacious compared to other spa's we've been to and the smell was wonderful. I already referred multiple friends and will continue to refer Great Massage to all my friends and family. Thank you ladies for an absolutely relaxing morning. read more

Great Massage La Jolla - Clean and nice energy. - Massage Near Me - La Jolla, California

This was the best massage me & my partner had. We used to go elsewhere and they were not as fantastic as here! We were greeted at the entrance by Heidi, my therapist and Angie, his therapist. And they both wanted to know where our tension was and how much pressure. When they began to massage they asked us if it felt right. And it definitely did! I gave them a tip! And It was a perfect gift for my partners birthday and we celebrated with their Champagne and Chocolates! We even gave the therapists some chocolates in the end because they were so good! I highly suggest coming here and will definitely come again! read more

Fantastic massage for a great value. Will return next time in the area. Reservations via text were easy and fast.

Angie truly has hands of gold and revived my tiered muscles to normal after sitting for the last 9 months due to a state wide lock down. It felt like bliss and a piece of normalcy, to get an awesome message, from a professional with over 20 years in the body care / message industry. Angie listens to your main concerns of where you have tension and pain, and realigns your whole body. I could not do without regular messages that promote circulation and help with recovery from intense travel / exercise. She has strength and precision on her flawless technique. Amazing - 10 star professional. The studio is super clean (like a medical office) comfortable, serene, and peaceful. A terrific space to spend time at and relax. Treat your self and book a message for a peaceful escape. read more

Angie was absolutely incredible. She listens to your needs, but best of all she works with your body and gives you exactly what you need intuitively. The pressure was just right and the space is beautiful and relaxing. Downtown La Jolla can get quite tricky with parking, but I will definitely be back! read more

Highly recommend Great Massage La Jolla if you want the VERY BEST. The spa is beautifulclean, inviting, very reasonable price, with great ambience, the massage therapists are knowledgeable, professional, good communicators, and just amazing. You have to book in advance because they are busy. I have been going here for over 8 years. They have got me through back aches, neck aches, car accidents, one baby, and just regular aches and pains. They are the absolute BEST!!!! read more

Hands down the best couples massage I've ever had and arguably the best massage I've ever had - my girlfriend thought so as well. Angie is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, as well as her associate. The studio is very welcoming, relaxing and warm. 10/10 recommend. read more

I would definitely come back here very soon. Massage was awesome and relaxing. My favorite was the massage on my temples and sinuses. The hand massage, too. Everything was awesome and I go to a lot of massage places. My daughter wants to come back here before she goes back to NY for college. read more

I'll add my voice to the choir, why not. I just walked out of a massage with Heidi at Great massage and it was awesome. I feel like a different person. Based on the reviews here, I don't think you can go wrong but I only know about Heidi and she was very experienced, caring and professional. She found all the tense spots, gave just the right amount of pressure and I feel so much better. She wanted to make sure the temperature was fine, that I was comfortable, etc. I've had a lot of massages and this was definitely among the best. Treat yourself, you deserve it! read more

First off, I think Angie should rename her business to Fantastic massage. She was absolutely amazing, can't recommend her enough. Second, if you come to La Jolla for romantic getaway don't think twice and book the couples massage first thing when you arrive. Trust me, after a long drive, there's nothing better to unwind and get into vacation mood than a foot bath, some chocolate covered strawberries, and a glass of champagne, followed by the relaxing sensation of strong, smooth hands ironing out the kinks in your sore muscles. Your significant other will be grateful to no end. read more

We just came back from a couple's massage at Great Massage La Jolla and it was sooooo good I had to write this review. We had Angie and Heidi doing our massages. I like mine softer and my boyfriend prefers a deep tissue. We both got exactly what we wanted and needed, and it felt even better than expected! The only thing I was sad about is that I didn't opt for the 80 minute option! We both didn't want this treat to end. I can't speak for my partner but according to him he really enjoyed his massage with Angie, and we both agreed that it was by far the best massage experience we had. Not only is the place very clean and inviting, the people are wonderful, friendly, and true professionals that know exactly what to focus on and how to get the tension away from your body. As for me - I have to say how amazing Heidi was! this is the first time I have a massage therapist evenly divide the time to really give an FULL body massage. She gave as much attention to my arms and legs as she did to my back and shoulders. My legs never felt so light and relaxed as they are right now, as I'm writing this review more than an hour later. I didn't even realize how much I needed my legs to be worked on. I also want to mention that we were a bit late for our appointment but still did not feel rushed at all, and received the full service time. I know clients being late can mess up the schedule and I would like to thank Great Massage La Jolla and both our therapists for being so wonderful and accommodating. Oh and let's not forget the champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries! Yum! I would definitely come back time after time and would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for quality service. I'm so happy this was the place I chose for us, best quality, great prices and extremely inviting and friendly. Thank you!! read more

One of the best massages I ever had! I was searching high and low for a place in La Jolla to get a couples massage. I stumbled upon Great Massage on Yelp and decided to make an appointment here. Angie was so sweet and it was a breeze to make an appointment. I decided to go with the 80 minutes couples massage because 60 minutes sounded way too short. The lobby was small, but it made it very cozy. The couple before us didn't want to leave (which I totally understand because I didn't want to leave either!) but we only waited for a couple of minutes. Angie and Bella were our massage therapists. They both asked us if there were any spots that were bothering us and needed to be worked on more. They both paid attention to detail and the massage was so relaxing and nice. The 80 minutes went by so fast! After, we got to enjoy some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, which was the perfect way to end our massage. Also, the location is amazing It is just a couple of blocks away from La Jolla Cove. It was nice to relax at the park/beach after getting a wonderful massage. I would definitely recommend getting a massage here! read more

I rarely post reviews but couldn't help myself this time. Great Massage should be called BEST MASSAGE EVER. I've treated myself to monthly massages for the last several years and had some "eh" massages but could never quite commit to anyone specific so I would use Groupons to try new people without breaking the bank. A couple years ago, I found Angie and haven't used anyone else since. She's amazing and obviously really has a passion for what she does and will listen to you to quickly find the perfect level of pressure for your body. On top of her incredible massage skills, she is also one of the nicest people you will meet with a great sense of humor. I won't go to anyone else - I wholeheartedly recommend her. read more

Easy to schedule last minute while I was visiting, very friendly, curteous and professional. And just an all around fantastic massage. Lovely light airy space. Just what you want when you treat yourself to a massage. Thank you Angie! read more

I left in absolute bliss! I purchased a couples massage for my girlfriend and I as a Christmas gift. We were greeted warmly by Angie and Maureen, and got to enjoy champagne and chocolate covered strawberries before our massage. They were both great at customizing our experiences. My deep tissue felt incredible, and left my muscles happily sore the next day. My girlfriend has a shoulder injury, and they were mindful of it and worked around the area. I would highly recommend this place as either a solo, or couples massage! It was a great experience with mindful therapists who made us feel welcomed and at home. I hope to be back sometime soon! read more

Angie was very prompt to respond to my call. I booked a massage with her and Kim (facial). Angie was a great therapist. She definitely worked out the areas I needed work on. I appreciate her soft voice for asking certain questions and not talking, these days some therapist talk too much! I will definitely return for a session with Angie. Kim on the other hand, was so enjoyable. We talked skin care half of the session and the rest was all relaxing. Her bed was so comfy, I didn't want to leave! My own bed isn't even that cozy. I get facials every single season change and this is the best facial I've ever had!! Kim is my new go to esthetician. She's amazing. I got the hydrafacial, my skin looked so plump after and felt so clean. The strawberries and champagne were definitely a nice touch. read more

I was so fortunate to get an appointment with Angie - learned from a close friend that she is in very high demand & has a very loyal clientele so she's very booked up, but she was also so accommodating about squeezing me when I explained to her that I was experiencing a lot of pain. This was one of the best, if not the best, massage I've ever had & I state this as someone who get massages on a regular basis. I have a lot of neck & shoulder pain, which has been exacerbated by working full time from home, in a makeshift home office, while juggling kids. Angie was able to really work deeply to loosen the tension & knots that were causing a lot of pain. I've had larger men massage me that haven't been able to provide nearly as deep a massage. She's small but incredibly strong. She really loosened up a lot the knots & tension that were not only causing back pain, but headaches as well. My 90 minuets with her did me more good than repeated visits to the chiropractor. Can't recommend Angie enough. read more

One of the best massages I have ever had. Angie was able to get me in the day after I contacted her. I was having specific issues and she went over exactly what I was looking for prior to the appointment. The pressure was just as I asked, and she worked on the area I specifically needed as well as the "full body". I will definitely be back! read more

My husband and I loved it and truly recommend it. He wanted a deep massage to help his back and he can really say that it has helped him.

I treated myself to a massage for my birthday. Angie made this day extra special. Her touch and pressure was so perfect triggering the areas I asked her to so attentively. The best I ever felt after a massage. I will back before my next birthday. read more

Excellent massage done by Ms. Angie! I teamed up with the awesome Spruced app for sponsored work and found Great Massage through the app - however, this review was written at my own discretion and all opinions are my own. As an esthetician that works closely with other massage therapists, I am quite familiar with the massage process as well as the movements. That said, I'm always examining the services I get from other providers. Angie's hands are like magic! She focused on my neck and shoulders since that's where I hold a lot of my tension. She was also really good with time management and still had enough time for doing a full body massage without rushing through it. I love a good hand massage since I work with my hands so often, and unfortunately, many massage therapists don't focus on bettering their hand massages. Angie has many complex manipulations that are extremely therapeutic to the hands, which may help benefit arthritis or fatigued hands. The entire experience was amazing - she started and finished on time, addressed all of the issues I addressed, and delivered a seriously incredible massage, probably one of the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend trying out Great Massage as the prices here are more than reasonable, especially for the quality that you get. Don't forget to tip generously! read more

Angie of Great Massage La Jolla is simply the best massage therapist I have been able to find in the entire greater San Diego area. As an active duty member of the military and Navy helicopter pilot with constant back issues, chiropractic care and massage therapy have become an integral part of maintaining my overall health and well being. As someone who has lived in the San Diego area since 2009, believe me when I say I've done my homework when it comes to finding the right massage therapist for treating my regular aches and pains. Finding Angie was a godsend and I trust no one else when it comes to massage therapy. I schedule appointments regularly and can say without hesitation that her attention to detail and intuition when it comes to "listening" to my body are truly second to none. Her warm and inviting personality make it easy to request a change mid-massage to things like pressure or specific location of treatment on your body. She is attentive, accommodating and a true master of her craft. Her couples massages are also a great way to celebrate any special occasion with your significant other as Angie only works with other therapists that match her in quality and sincerity. The name says it all... if you're looking for a truly "great massage" then look no further than Angie! read more

I received a massage here on my birthday, and Angie was so great to fit me in. I received the body scrub and full body massage, which was an hour and a half. During the massage, I fell asleep a few times because I was SO relaxed! Angie did a great job working on releasing my tightness with plantar fasciitis, and just overall relaxed my muscles. The studio is cute, clean and very relaxing. Angie will now be my massage therapist for my monthly spoiling sessions! Such a great place! read more

I booked a couples massage for today with my husband. We arrived a little early they greeted us. Angie was very nice and pleasant. The place was very cleaned and smelled very nice. No A/C but I didn't need it. It was definitely very comfortable. We had champagne with chocolate covered strawberries. Yum yum!! The massage was amazing she asked me if I need any specific pressure or any certain part of my body. Which I didn't but she was awesome!! I will definitely be going back. oh and my husband was very pleased!! read more

Having had massages from Hong Kong to London to California, I can safely say that Angie is one of the best I have experienced. She has excellent technique, customizes each session to what you need, and I've found that the effects of her massages last longer.
