My tech didn't wipe me down good post sugaring which is an issue as I was very sticky until my next shower that day. It was easy to book as I literally discovered this place after coming off the elevator from parking & booked. The front desk person was trash, she didn't do anything to welcome me or chat with me about the offerings , she was very much "hands off" I would go here again but if you're looking for a last option. I've typically had good experiences with Sugaring NYC, but my most recent interaction was…read moredisappointing. At my December appointment, I scheduled my January appointment in person and also participated in their Christmas raffle, where I pulled a 20% off discount for my next appointment. On Monday, January 12, I received a call informing me that my Wednesday appointment was no longer available and needed to be rescheduled. Since the change was initiated by the studio, I was offered a 30% off discount for the inconvenience. I reminded the representative that I already had a 20% discount from the raffle and asked if both could be applied. I was told that discounts could not be stacked and that I would have to choose one. I was also informed that the 20% discount could only be used in January, despite the fact that my January appointment was canceled by the studio. Additionally, the person I spoke with was not a manager, so I requested to speak with one. She took my information and advised that a manager would reach out to me by the end of the week. I understand that businesses have policies, but this situation was frustrating because I lost the opportunity to use a discount I had legitimately earned due to a cancellation that was out of my control. Better communication, flexibility, and follow-through from management would have made this a much better customer service experience

I chose Dazzle Dry polish, which I normally have good luck with. Unfortunately, my manicure chipped the next day, which was frustrating because I'm very careful with my hands. I felt like the service just didn't live up to the price. If I'm paying over $120 for a mani/pedi, I would like to have a little more of a luxe experience. It felt like there was just a lack of attention to detail - hot towels and parrafin applied way too hot, the chipping the next day, etc. If you need a basic mani/pedi, I think you will have a good experience. But for me, the experience just didn't live up to the price tag.
