Had my first experience at Aria last night and it lived up to all my expectations! I'd always heard so many good things about this restaurant, so I had to try it for myself. I love the ambiance. The dark walls and lower lighting made for an intimate atmosphere - absolutely perfect. All of the food we ordered was a home run. The black Angus filet was cooked beautifully. The onion ring that came with it was seasoned beautifully! The arugula salad was refreshing and bright. And the caramel nut cake was the perfect slice of decadence for two people to share. Adding Aria to my list of ATL favourites after this experience! I have to highlight our server, Trey. He was incredibly warm and hospitable throughout the entire dinner. We had a great conversation about wine and he dropped off a little taste of one of his favourites: the Maçanita Tinto. Trey made our experience even better! read more

Awesome restaurant! I made a reservation a week in advance without any difficulty, and when I got there the service was very friendly and prompt (parking is valet only, to my knowledge). Staff is very considerate and gave great recommendations. Incredible starter bread, although a little hard (will definitely scratch the roof of your mouth). All dishes throughout the night were great, highly recommend the Maine lobster - very tender and paired perfectly with the potato mash. The lamb pasta was also incredible (lamb flavor very present without being gamey). Do not pass up on the truffle oil potato (side) - one of the best things I had that night, soft and buttery + very flavorful! Wasn't a big fan of the Berkshire pork (entree). It was very tender, great texture, but a little lacking in flavor. The same goes for the spaghetti squash (side). Overall I would give Aria 4.8 stars! Came to Aria for an anniversary dinner and it was lovely. Aria is located in a quant location that has valet out front. There seems to be minimal parking so we just valeted for ease. We had a reservation and were seated early! Our table wasn't ideal and we were seated right by the entrance to the kitchen so a lot of staff coming in and out close by our table was distracting. This was both of our firsts here and we both did the tasting menu ($98pp). I will say for a "nicer" restaurant menus being shown should not have a stain on them from previous customers. We also ordered two cocktails: the Fortune Teller ($14) and Abstract Field ($14). Though this place may be nicer, it didn't feel stuffy or pretentious which I really enjoyed. Our server had a sense of humor and was absolutely great and attentive. The tasting menu was timed well and we did not feel rushed or that it was too slow. All of the courses were delightful and well thought out. My least favorite were the beets, but beets are not my favorite. Besides this, I'd rave about all of them. Personally my favorites were the pork, yellowtail hamachi, and salmon. All in all, an amazing experience and we would most definitely come back! read more

I had a fantastic birthday dinner with great friends at Aria. All of the food was very tasty and oh so delicious. We had a lot of starters - some include crab cakes, pork belly, chickpea fritters, romaine hearts and burrata. The entrees included halibut, salmon, branzino, scallops and steak. Desserts included panna cotta, ice cream sandwich and pound cake. The wine list is extensive with a lot of great options. To complement the delicious food was the awesome and amazing service! The entire staff was always available with smiles on their faces. They were very welcoming and it felt like we were all good friends. Special shoutouts go to Andreas and Kate. Ok I've honestly never had this happen before but I was looking for Bacchanalia and accidentally made a reservation here (I lived in Atlanta for one month last year so my memory wasn't great). We would've been charged 100$ for canceling the reservation so we decided to just go and get a small bite (which is why it's a terrible idea to charge that much to cancel) before our actual dinner and moved up our reservation. Valet guy was missing so it took a few minutes to get inside but we walked in about 4 minutes late. The hadn't set up the table yet and we had three separate staff encourage us to get cocktails while we waited (we don't drink). A hostess offered a lounge spot for us to wait in (how long does it take to set up a table for 2) and my friend accepted then asked where the bathroom was. I stood up--still at the table--while answering an urgent phone call so not to loudly talk on the phone so close to the people sitting two feet from me. 10-12 minutes after they told us they were setting up the table, that same hostess offers the lounge spot to another couple despite my friend finally getting into the single person bathroom and just now walking back to the table, and me still standing with my hand on my chair. I told her we were still sitting there but she insisted on seating this older couple because they were "setting up our table". Well, maybe don't offer us the spot in the first place? I awkwardly stood in the extremely tiny hostess area waiting another couple minutes until we finally were seated fifteen minutes after we walked in. I curiously asked the woman who sat us if they had changed locations, not yet realizing the name of our desired dinner location, and she insisted we probably didn't remember coming here since they've been around for years. I of course knew this wasn't possible due to when I lived there, but eventually we found the right place, ate a small appetizer, and got out of there. Our server was super sweet and I left her a good tip, trying to get up quickly so she could gain another table sooner. The salad I got was pretty good! My friend liked his kabob too. Seems like a decent restaurant with nice servers and a pretty good menu, but a bit elbow-to-elbow, loud, and more fitting for an older crowd or business meeting. What a classy, classy place for a meal. A perfect place to take visiting parents or in-laws when they come to visit. It's sure to be a success. First tip, get the bread service - warm, fresh, and delicious! We all enjoyed salads first - I had the arugula salad and the dressing was great and everything was fresh. For my entree, I went with our excellent waitress' suggestion of the scallops, and they were melt-in-your-mouth good. My fiance enjoyed his duck, and I liked it too, but the sides on the scallops (it was a succotash) took the cake. I asked if they could make the mocktail (a passionfruit/mint soda) into a cocktail by adding vodka, and they did. It was great. The whole experience was lovely, but I do feel like this is more of a "winter" restaurant because of the lack of windows and general dark look of it. We'll be back, I'm sure! read more

My husband and I went for our 49th wedding anniversary and wanted a tasting menu. Their 8 course tasting menu was half the cost of other restaurants in Atlanta. Our expectations were exceeded!!! Every little course was delicious such as flavorful beer salad, creamy celery root soup, delicious salmon, beef short rib that melts in your mouth and more. For dinner we had filet, and scallops, and finally for dessert we had the warm chocolate cheese cake and lemon pound cake. The kitchen executed the food perfectly, but the experience was pleasant from the second we walked in the door. I had an old fashioned and I'm kind of a snob when it comes to my old fashions, I found it to be mixed perfectly with it not being to sweet or to much bitters added. The host was very hospitable and made the experience feel personal. Our waitress gave great recommendations on cocktails food wine dessert. She was definitely great at her job. I have been dying to try Aria after hearing such wonderful things about them! Tonight my husband I decided to celebrate him finishing one of his board exams. We booked our reservation weeks in advance. They provide a seven-course tasting menu nightly for $98 per person for each person at the table. However, my husband and I decided to order individual items instead. Keep in mind their menu changes frequently. Tonight we ordered 1. Crisped berkshire pork belly (highly recommend) 2. Caviar (pass) - I had caviar w/ a toast platter before but I wasn't a huge fan of this specific caviar. There's no wow factor that made it stand out. If you have tried osetra caviar, this caviar doesn't cut it. 3. Butter braised maine lobster (Just wow! My favorite appetizer of the night. The truffled potatoes and broccoli mousseline complimented the lobster so well) 4. Crisped duck confit ( The duck was a little salty but the red chili lime sauce helped to balance the taste) 5. Crisped jumbo lump crab cake ( I enjoyed the jumbo lump crab cake itself. However, the nu'ó'c châ'm with the pecans, basil, cilantro, and crispy shallots reminded me of a very similar Vietnamese salad I had before. I wasn't expecting to eat Vietnamese food, so this dish surprised me) 6. Breast of duck w/ honey spice glaze, fuji apples, savoy cabbage, carrots, natural jus (The duck was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were delicious!) 7. Slow braised berkshire pork w/ parmesan polenta, charred broccoli (An entree that you'll remember your entire life! The pork was fall of the bone and complemented the parmesan polenta so well!) 8. Attended dinner at Aria for my daughter's 3rd Birthday and it was everything I anticipated and more. Amazing staff and service and the food was very delicious and presented beautifully. My daughter's favorite fruit is raspberry and although it wasn't an option under sorbets, they were able to accommodate her and give her a raspberry sorbet for her birthday dessert. The "icing on the cake" moment was a member of the support staff coming over and relighting my daughter's candle and singing her Happy Birthday. There is a small dining room and we were sat close to this group. The cocktails are delicious. The wine menu is extensive. The food was very good. They brought out a special dessert for us that had Happy 3rd anniversary written In chocolate on it. It was a nice experience. Our meal included: - Roasted Brussels Sprouts: A low point of our meal. Nothing special that I don't normally cook at home. - Pork belly: Delectable bites of super fatty pork. No seasoning really so it was bland and fatty with some sweetness from the jam, which was interesting. - Rainbow trout: My entree. Excellent sear on the fish and everything was seasoned really well. My fiancé who doesn't like fish even enjoyed it. The sauce purée was delicious. - Beef short rib: My fiancé's entree. Tender and well seasoned. Good but not as memorable as my entree. - Lemon pound cake: If you enjoy sweet/tangy desserts, this is perfect! Very strong lemon flavor and aroma. I could've eaten two orders of this alone. So good! We also ordered several craft cocktails and unfortunately, our drinks all tasted very watered down without any real discernible flavors. I would stay with the wines next time. The atmosphere is romantic and cheery with a great outdoor patio option if you're looking for that. You have the option to do a 7 course tasting menu for $92 per person or order dishes a la carte (we went for the latter option). To start things off, we were served with this DELICIOUS bread. Perfectly soft and fluffy and chewy on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. Absolutely carb/bread heaven. I think I had 3 slices of bread before appetizers. For starters, we ordered the crab cake and the duck. They were both delicious but the duck was AMAZING ( probably our favorite dish from the night). It was perfectly crisp on the outside with Juicy tender inside. It was *chefs kiss*. For entrees, I ordered the short rib which was Pretty good. It was tender but I wouldn't say it was anything special. The sides that we ordered were the lobster smashed potatoes and the crispy Brussels sprouts. Aria has a lovely atmosphere. The interior is dark and romantic, with mirrors and beautiful light fixtures. The appetizers we ordered were really good and honestly way better than the main courses. I was kind of underwhelmed by the main courses. I went a few months ago and I'm not sure if these are still on the menu, but we had the soft shell crab and lobster risotto for our appetizers. So good! The soft shell crab had a great crispy texture and was served over a salad with asian flavors. The lobster appetizer was creamy and buttery. For the entrees, we had the short rib beef and the filet mignon. It wasn't really anything special to me. It was good, but not super memorable. I probably wouldn't order those again. I felt kind of let down because our appetizers had great flavor. We also shared a bottle of $96 white wine that went wonderfully with the light and fresh flavors. Definitely a splurge but it made it a great date night. What made this place lacking to me was our service that night was very inattentive. Also a bug flew into one of our wine glasses, and when we told the server, she just drained the bug out and returned us the glass of wine that had the bug in it. It was an expensive bottle, and I think it would have been much better if she offered to replace that glass with a new glass of wine. A plus side was that valet parking was great and the parking attendant was very nice. If you are in the Atlanta area, I would say just try out this place once for date night. It really is lovely. We went to Aria for our anniversary dinner after hearing raving reviews online, and building significant expectations for our experience. With such high expectations, we were very disappointed. Several small details were pleasing, such as the crafted ice cube in our (straight-whiskey tasting) cocktail, sparkling water, bread service, flavorful bread pudding and coffee pairing. However, the heart of our meal fell flat. The store-recommended lobster starter was near tasteless, feeling like rubber meat over a bed of paste. The pork entree was filling, but bland and more than forgettable. My wife's salmon entree was superior, but more to my liking than hers. I cannot speak to any of the other items, however these few were non starters. Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone in my age group or anyone that does not have endless money to burn. I also would not recommend it to anyone looking for a one of a kind, or exciting experience. I felt that the restaurant took itself much too seriously, while the entire presentation was outdated and unremarkable. We had friends in from out of town, and they wanted to try this place. We had the tasting menu, which consisted of 8 courses. The tasting menu runs 98 dollars here. Food- The food was tasty. The problem for me is, at that price, the food should be exceptional and it wasnt that. The best dishes were the Himachi sashimi and the beet salad. But it went downhill from there. We got a lobster bisque which was, flavorwise, very good. Lobster bisque is supposed to be thick and velvety, but this was the opposite. It was very thin and watery. The first main we received was a salmon dish. The salmon was cooked well done, which was disappointing. The next dish we got was a pork tenderloin medallion. Again, overcooked. It was overcooked to the point that you could see how dry it was before even tasting it. After the pork was a beef short rib. While it tasted really good, it tasted like a Sunday dinner pot roast with gravy. For a menu like this, I would expect a much different flavor out of a short rib. The last issue was part of the dessert. There was a pound cake with whipped cream and ice cream. The pound cake was DENSE. It really needed to be much lighter. Service- the service is what you would expect from a more upscale restaurant, so that's a plus. Drinks- they have a very extensive wine selection. Their cocktails are also very good. Overall, this was a disappointing meal. I LOVE food, and the food was just mediocre for the price and what I expected it to be. I would not recommend the tasting menu here. read more

Came here for dinner on a Thursday without reservation, luckily, we don't have to wait. The restaurant is bigger than what it looks like from the outside. However, upon walking into the restaurant, I immediately noticed the noise level was really high for a nice restaurant. The decor is nice inside, like in an old movie. I like the design of the light in the middle of the dinning room. And was really happy that there is no table directly underneath the sharp pointy edge of the light. I'd be too scared to sit there lol Onto the food, we ordered crispy pork belly with cranberry sauce, foie gras, Duck confit, venison entree. Everything was tasty. Our waitress was really attentive to our questions and concerns and made us comfortable in a new atmosphere. The place was divine. The lighting was dark and moody and elegant at the same time. I just had my birthday dinner at Aria and it was incredible!! Bettina was our waitress, and she was THE BEST. She was so knowledgeable and kind, and made my birthday so special! She provided the perfect level of service - always there when needed, but not overbearing. She went above and beyond, including bringing out tastes of wines I ordered to make sure I liked them (without me asking!) and getting me an ENTREE dessert even after the kitchen closed. (Yes, I'm weird.). The food was SO delicious, and the ambiance was on point. I had been dying to try this restaurant, and am so glad I did! Definitely come here! Wonderful date night place. Service is excellent. The bar and wine list are solid and fairly complete. Corkage is $25, towards the top end but acceptable. The reason you come to aria is for the food. We always pick a few snacks for cocktails. Be sure to try the Korean beef and black truffle burrata. For first courses, all the salads rock, but you're probably not here for that. Get the yellowtail! Amazing. Always. Personally I love the lamb loin. If you are a short rib person, it's good. The duck confit is done differently, and we haven't cared for it. The sweets (a small nosh plate) at the end of the meal were terrible. First thing was some kind of nut merengue, followed by a super sweet nutrigrain bar and then some super sweet chocolate thing. This place has very elegant style and taste in art pieces that round out the experience. The staff was very exceptional and welcoming. And our waiter must be a sommelier because his knowledge of wine and suggestions were spot on. As for the food, we did the chefs tasting which we love to do anytime we get a chance. This place definitely didn't disappoint. Everything we tried was very well prepared and flavorful. The lobster bisque was outstanding. As a matter of fact, all the first courses were well balanced.
