We visited London with our 3 year old and had a day trip out of London planned. We booked a car but discovered they do not offer car seats. So we had a baby equipment delivery service/vendor lined up to have a far seat delivered to our hotel. Closer to our date, they informed me they were fully booked so that left us without any other option but to buy a car seat. I wasn't about to spend £££ on a luxury car seat (which is all we were finding in London) for one day use so I started googling and came across Argos. I browsed their site and saw the car seat that met our specifications which ended up being the same price as it would have been to rent from the vendor plus their delivery/pickup fees. We hate being THAT customer but we arrived 15 minutes before closing on the night before our planned day trip and we were able to purchase the car seat right then and there on their systems. Then walked a few steps over to their counter where they brought it over. We were in an out in 10 minutes. Service was fine although I realize a clueless customer rushing in so close to the end of your day might be slightly irritating. After use, we listed the car seat on Craigslist to anyone who wanted to pick up from us at our hotel lobby free of charge which worked out great since we didn't need to schlep the car seat to a local charity shop. read more

Bought a bed 10mths ago and one of the slats from the frame has snapped around a knot. Argos won't honour the warranty claiming it's the way my daughter has got in and out of the bed. The customer service has been appauling as they just don't answer us. Just not interested. Can't believe it from a company I've used so many times in the past, but will never again. read more

What a place! Thank god it exists! It is a really comfortable shop as its prices are really affordable and it has got almost everything. The shop looks like nice and big, even if it is not. In this shop you have to order the things you want from a tablet, collocated on tables or on walls. From those tablets you can read all the catalogue and you can have all the infos about every product. Moreover there are a few people ready to help in case of needs. When you have finished your order on the tablet you just go to the cashiers to pay and collect your order! It is so comfortable and the employees are awesome and helpful... I have bought a table lamp for 7£ and a steam cleener for 35£ Definetly one of my favourite store in London! read more

Usually Argos is great. But this one is a real let down. We came here 5 minutes before it closed in the desperate search for a few things we needed that evening. We were told to 'hurry up, we're closing.' In a effort hurry up we chose what we wanted and ran to the till. Oh surprise surprise... Everything we chose was out of stock or 'delivery only.' This seemed to infuriate the staff... It's not my fault the thing YOU advertise as stocking you don't have. If I'm in the store why would I want something delivery only... They really need to work on their electronic system telling them what's in stock or not. And the staff need to work on their attitude. I'd already worked a 9 hour day and was carrying on for another 6 hours, to be confronted with 'our systems now off', huffing and puffing attitude was rather disgusting and disappointing really. We only needed a few basic things. Very let down that helping us for an extra 5 minutes of their day was so taxing on the staff members who were getting irritated with us. Step up Argos. read more
