Glad that we stop by this neat place for dinner. It was definitely a pleasurable experience dinning there. People there engaged with us so well that we feel welcomed and being introduced to the Venezuelan food. They normally would recommend you to try their feature dishes if it's your first time there. But I mean they all looked so delicious and there's a reason for the Five Star eats. The food was served quick and fresh. All gluten free and homemade. We all like the appetizer Tostones which is so refresh and healthy, it comes with a toasted crop on the bottom and loaded with a bunch of cabbages, carrots, avacado, cilantro and fresh cheese of course the amazing sauce on top of it. Large portion even with appetizer but it's great for sharing with your family or friends. Love the atmosphere and people there. Going back to try out more for sure：） read more

Arepitas - Venezuelan Near Me - Harker Heights, Texas

Too good. So a lot of folks focus on the dining experience and how well they're adhering to C-19 protocols. Not going to waste your time with that - it all really boils down to the food. To start, it is definitely not good for maintaing my weight. Everything on the menu is so good that it's too easy to overeat. Everything on the menu is prepared well and has amazing flavor. I have tried and like literally everything on the menu. I get it, some folks are a little more particular about their tastes/likes. No worries, there is something on the Arepitas menu for everyone. And if you've never had fried yuca - you're missing out. Try it, you won't be disappointed! Don't pass up the chance to have a really great meal. There have been a lot of comments about them raising prices and the high cost of eating at Arepitas. I look at it this way, we all make choices and understandably, some folks may have concerns about the price point taking things near the upper limits of their budget. It is good to know your limitations and recognize when too much is too much. But really, if the concern is price vs value and paying $5-$10 more for a meal makes you uncomfortable - then maybe going out to eat in the first place is not such a good decision. read more

This is probably one of the friendliest and welcoming restaurants in the area. The food is amazing the staff is awesome. They usually remember you and your order if you go as much as I do. Even with COVID their food is still amazing and quick. read more

Great food. I have a problem with the way they are handling business during Covid. AFTER receiving our drinks and then later telling the waiter what we wanted to order, we were informed that there was a $1.50 surcharge for each meal with meat in it because of Covid. While this was technically explained before the order went in to the kitchen, it puts the customer in the awkward position of either paying more than expected or having to take additional time and potential embarrassment to change their order to something less expensive. I did pull a Karen and had a quick discussion with the manager. He said the reason we were not told until after placing our orders was because there are also some dishes without meat on the menu that the charge wouldn't apply to. The manager said this was their current policy and he would tell the owner about my concerns, but I think Yelp should have a heads up as well. In all, it would be nice if they could reprint their menus or be more upfront about the upcharges and explain them with a clear sign on the door or even when they are handing out the menus. As it stands, they are putting customers in a very unfair and/or uncomfortable position. read more

Very unique. Nice people. Steak sandwich was quite good. Busy place as they do well. I'll be back again.

Absolutely delicious!! The staff is extremely friendly and greeted us with warm, genuine smiles. You order up at the counter and they bring our food out to your table. The food is made to order so it takes a little bit of time but it's well worth it!! Will be coming back!!! read more

So imagine our surprise, when after we had searched Yelp for some good reviews on a Venezuelan restaurant, we were sent to this one, which turns out to be in the very back corner of a convenience store in Killeen, Texas! However, don't let that stop you, because we didn't. The food is out of this world, and Antonio will make you anything you want! He is the bomb! We will be back. read more

This was our first time trying Venezuelan food. If Arepitas is any indication of Venezuelan cuisine, it's amazing. They have a very simple menu with delicious food and excellent service! Their meals are affordable so it's definitely worth a visit. read more

Amazing!!! There's no microwave, no frozen ingredients, just freshly cooked delicious food. Service is top notch. I can't recommend one thing, it's all good and the portions are extremely generous. It's inside a gas station so it's easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and find it now! read more

This little place was soooo good! We got aripas, empanadas, and a parrillada plate. All were freshly cooked. There's only three tables to sit at so it might be best to take it to go and call ahead. The two employees were so nice to us as well. I'd definitely recommend coming to try this place out! read more

Delicious! Great customer service! The arepas with steak are my favorites. I would definitely recommended.

This is probably my favorite Venezuelan joint outside of Miami. The food is all cooked fresh, so it take a bit, but it's absolutely worth it. The cooks put in a lot of work to make sure the presentation matches the awesome flavors, and even though we live an hour away, we make the trip at least once a week. read more
