As I was unloading my property I look up completely startled, there was a man walking towards me head low, hands in pocket not communicating with me etc. I called out to him and slowly responded to identify himself as security when he was less than 2 feet away from me. This might not be alarming to others, but it was dark out, some strange man walking towards me, and we have NEVER been approached there before by security/front desk. He wanted to check my ID. I can appreciate that they were ensuring someone was not stealing property, but if this is a new routine to do, send an email or stop us at the gate. If I had a weapon on me, I would have pulled it out. A golf cart, 4 wheeler, etc would be MUCH appreciated for that giant property to know someone associated with it is approaching you.

I legitimately live on the other side of the country in the mountains so my service isn't always the best. When Robert answered the phone I heard that it was public storage and it cut out after that. I stated I had a storage and .... I was immediately cut off by Robert and told that I 'probably didn't have a storage there' and 'had I been listening I would have heard this was the Debarr location.' I told Robert there was no need to be rude and I was confused as I called a 696 number which is, Eagle River. He barked and rambled about answering phones for other location when they were receiving high calls. We did exchange words, I requested his managers information. He barked that he was the manager of the location. (Oh boy.. what lucky owners) and when I called back to complain, I would ask for him and hung up. I've never had issues with the Eagle River location but I wouldn't give any form of trust or card information to 'Robert' at this location

They were originally supposed to check out where I was and where I wanted to go. They didn't. The operator picked up the conex and took it near the property. He decided, after one try, he couldn't go where I wanted the conex. Instead he dropped the conex in the neighbors driveway and told me I would have to arrange someone else to move it where I wanted it. It took an additional $500 to move the conex less than 100 yards to where I wanted it originally. The receptionist for the company was not friendly or even polite. We were informed the driver would call the next morning, but he didn't. The company refused to help me move the conex, but were sure to deposit my check. I wouldn't recommend this company!

I used the Yelp App to locate a place to recycle a 65" Flat Screen Samsung TV that had quit. I did…read morenot want to just throw it in the landfill. The App sent out two requests under the projects program for responses. Within 24 hours I received two excellent responses that fit my needs. The first was a local nonprofit recycling center with 6 miles. The other was Total Reclaim. Total Reclaim operates a recycling business that accepts on site delivery of recycling products including TV's and other electronics. I consulted their website for details and location and they were 50 miles away. They also have a pickup service in their local area but only rarely in my area. They do charge fees for their services. I choose the local facility because of closeness and smaller fees. It cost me just $7 to recycle the 100 pound TV. I encourage people to use the services of Total Recall when needed. The Anchorage Landfill operates a limited recycling program at the main landfill in Eagle River. It accepts glass which the MatSu Borough Landfill will not. They also accept hazardous materials but I am unsure about electronics. Check the websites for ALL locations to get details and costs concerning their individual operations. I encourage everyone to use the recycling programs to reduce waste, contamination and pollution.

All that gold, silver, tungsten and mercury boards, oh did I say all those non-recyclable Duracell and Energizer batteries. Yeah they take EVERYTHING... Lead, Dead Battery and Electronic-wise! So, there is a catch. You have to give them $15 bucks. Yeah they have to ship your electronics and batteries to the lower 48! They charge us. But before you say "Oh heck no" listen! Save up your electronics. Build it up. Collect it and store till you're ready. It's worth saving our precious landfills and water from deadly batteries and mercury metals. It's better to recycle and reuse! I'd pay $15 bucks to save the world ... would you?
