After finalizing my October payment, I asked the man about the deadline for my next payment. He said I was 'good until December'. I asked him about November, and he said I made enough payments to cover November, so I was 'good until December'. But now I'm confused because I'm here calling in my payment for December as per what the man said in October, but this other guy's talking to me about a $70 late fee. $20 for the first few days then another $50 after. Apparently they sent two letters, but the first letter must've gotten lost in the mail as I never got it. However, I got the second letter today saying I owe for November, and that the late fee was $70 and if I didn't pay immediately, they would move forward with 'remedies available to them'. I asked the staff member if I could speak to his manager, but apparently the manager doesn't usually hang around on site. How convenient. This is the first time I've been this late on a payment, and it's because of bad information that their staff member gave me. Instead of correcting their mistake, they're expecting me to pay for their staff members' incompetence and holding my property until I pay for their mistake. The staff member on the phone was quick to point out it wasn't him, but another staff member. It's really disgusting how they don't hold any kind of accountability for the errors of their staff members, and still expect customers to pay for THEIR mistakes. I'm cringing to think how quick he distanced himself from his co-worker, trying to cover his own @$$. He kept bringing up some other lady who didn't want to pay her storage, as if trying to equate me to her. So I cut his @$$ off and told him "I don't know who she is, and she's got nothing to do with me. I'm calling about my situation and the fact that your staff member put me in this predicament with no manager for me to speak to". Now I'm thinking to just get my property out of there and move over to the new U-Haul storage facility right around the corner. I don't care if they cost a little more. These guys boast being 'affordable', but after two years with them I'm not impressed. Especially when it would snow in, and I can't even drive to the back to my storage unit. They have low rates but you get what you pay for so caveat emptor. My suggestion, avoid these clowns.

They could not have been more responsive and eager to reconcile the issue. They totally took care of us. They could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. I called their online number and was told someone should be in the office and I'd get a call back when they got in contact with the manager on duty. 30 minutes passed without a call back. I needed to access my tires for my changeover appointment and told them I'd be happy to pay any fee, but really needed someone to let me in. I called again and was told the same thing, but this time they'd send it with urgency. Another hour went by and no word from them. Units are clean and secure, but terrible communication and they aren't in office during normal hours. Sat there for an hour and a half and missed my appointment. It's been 4 hours now and still haven't heard anything.

Can you access it if you haven't been there in a year and they changed your access code on you when they changed ownership and they are never in the office even during normal office ours? NO! I emailed them July 31st saying I was coming over and was moving out. When I showed up there I tried for over an hour trying to open the gate. It was my phone number before and I used everything I could think of to access the gate but no luck. I even called the security company on the sign and they told me that they didn't have a current plan with them and had no contact numbers since ownership had changed. I even called the non emergency police contact number and they had no contact info for them. That was a good thing because they had never had a break in. So it is secure! So secure that their own customers can't access their unit! I don't live in town so I only had so much time to get in and move my stuff. I never did get ahold of them in time. I tried for several days with no luck. I found someone with a known gate code and I used theirs. I was able to get my stuff all moved but by no help from the company. That's pretty ridiculous! If I had not found someone to help me out I would be so screwed right now. They emailed days later with the access code and it's nothing I have ever used or seen before so I know they changed it on me. I spoke to a customer of theirs and they said that since ownership changed there is rarely anyone actually in the office. The company should know this. It's probably effecting more then just me and I would bet money they are loosing money over that person not doing their job. Clean. SECURE. Rent but make sure you know your gate access code and make it clear they are not to change it. Best of luck!

You park in a garage and get to unload/load your goodies in warmth. They have a spot for unwanted items. Many items we left were taken immediately, people seem to be grateful. 5x10 units run about $169/month. Their largest unit is a 10x10, but beware, some of the 10x10 doors are small...which for us, defeated the purpose of renting a unit that large. This U-Haul location has multiple levels with elevators and carts available to use. All workers encountered were helpful and hardworking. The place was always being cleaned and looked after. Cameras everywhere.

I made the reservation 2 mos in advance and can't let them down. Customer Service went to work and found a 26' truck here. I actually like the fact they are a new 8 month new U-Haul facility in town with newer trucks. New arrangements made, I was happy and it was ready for my pickup the next day when they switched my reservation to here from Old Seward. I actually liked their location better. The Dog Show and Football Team's loading and unloading went off on time and without a hitch thanks to U-Hauls Customer Service.
