We're selling the items out of it as it doesn't work in the new modern house. The place is clean, has many available dolly's/carts to move in items and/or move out items. Units are nice. They also take a credit card and auto bill monthly. NOTE: Having rented storage units all over the country there are 2 things I don't like about storage units in general. 1). The lighting inside the units always sucks. Never lighting in the unit. With LED these days being so inexpensive add some lighting that's motion activated. 2.) Accessibility some locations limit your access time. You say can't get in after like 8:00 PM - Why? It's locked, it's pin accessed - they have security cameras, so why?

I had called to change my card…read moreinformation as it had been stolen a few weeks prior and I forgot my storage was listed under auto pay. I called the ER location and was forwarded to 'Robert'. I legitimately live on the other side of the country in the mountains so my service isn't always the best. When Robert answered the phone I heard that it was public storage and it cut out after that. I stated I had a storage and .... I was immediately cut off by Robert and told that I 'probably didn't have a storage there' and 'had I been listening I would have heard this was the Debarr location.' I told Robert there was no need to be rude and I was confused as I called a 696 number which is, Eagle River. He barked and rambled about answering phones for other location when they were receiving high calls. We did exchange words, I requested his managers information. He barked that he was the manager of the location. (Oh boy.. what lucky owners) and when I called back to complain, I would ask for him and hung up. I've never had issues with the Eagle River location but I wouldn't give any form of trust or card information to 'Robert' at this location

I had until 1 p.m. to turn the rental back in. We may have needed it again the next day. Hectic circumstances with death of family member, difficulty getting in and out of the truck (disabled), trying to drive it on snow and ice, etc on top of moving an entire apartment in 6 hours...well it just doesn't help when you get charged a key cut fee of $50.00 when no key was cut and the key I had was returned well before 1:00 p.m. when the rental was due back. No one called to ask. Can't get through to customer service, no voicemail and no working APP. Refusing to refund me. I accepted the fuel fee. The other fees driving a $29.99 rental to $144.00 but the key cut fee is a scam. I can maybe understand the initial charge as a misunderstanding but they didn't cut a replacement key and got the original key back before 1:00 so truck was available for re-rent. Be careful on the website while booking as the additional moving items like dolly and furniture pads are preloaded for selection and its easy to unintentionally reserve those items and be charged with them because you don't receive anything with charges until you pick up the rental not realizing these items are in the back. Also, they didn't tell me I was charged a key fee when I came in to return the key. Rent with caution if you care about getting ripped off. Never renting from Uhaul again.
