After last winter, we are getting an early start on refilling the woodshed. When our limbing saw had personal issues starting, we took it in to Ak Specialty Equip for some TLC. I am in my mid 70s and was struggling to use our heavy saw for limbing, After a couple weeks my husband stopped at the shop to check on it. The counter man found my saw in the pile and immediately checked and adjusted it until it was leaping into life on the first pull. And he showed Dick how to tweak it if the saw misbehaved again. Cheerful excellent service and I am grateful to be back in the woods cutting our winter's wood again. Thank you.

DO NOT USE Alaska Stairlift & Elevator, LLC! THEY ARE UNSCRUPULOUS!…read more Oh my goodness! I bought a USED stair lift for my husband, only 2 years old and in excellent shape. (Thank you to the person who sold it to me, you are great!) So, I decided to contact the company who sold it, Alaska Stairlift & Elevator, LLC, for help installing it. I called after hours and talked to a really nice guy. I was told a rep would call me today, so when I had not been contacted by 3, I decided to call them back. I asked how much it would be to install it and the lady told me about $2000! Just under $700 for the install, which is way too much, but what really tweeked my cookies.... $1,250 FOR TRANSPORTATION AND OVERNIGHT LODGING for the tech, because we live in Nikiski! We would be expected to pay for their wages, gas, etc both ways AND a hotel! I told her that was totally ridiculous and would figure it out myself!
