Here, there are ample gas pumps and parking spaces readily available. The air pump is in the back of the building FYI. I live closest to the Jewel Lake Holiday where stragglers and solicitors are a definite problem. This location is not like that thankfully. Inside, it's spacious, bright and clean. All workers encountered have been competent and fast. The store is well organized and lines move fast. Okay, so...I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret. Holiday Stationstores sells the best egg rolls in Anchorage. I know....it feels crazy even typing that out. But it is, what it is. They're like $2 for 2. Hot, flavorful and filling vegetable and pork egg rolls. You're welcome (Maui voice).

Every now and then I have run into one that isn't super friendly at the beginning but the moment I engaged and take a moment to ask how they are doing, it turned the whole interaction around! I stop in here a few times a month on my way to work or afterwards and never have any problems or gripes. When a line gets to have more than a couple people, someone else always quickly opens up another line to assist those waiting. I know what I'm in there for, get in and get out, but I prefer this location due to the friendliness and feeling safer than a couple others I pass during my commute!

I'm sure everyone else already feels some way about public restrooms but women aren't able to necessarily jus pull over behind a build and just go pee the way men can if they must. So I need go really bad and was still 10 mins from home but after seeing the disaster in both restrooms I suddenly didn't need to go as bad and was able to make it home to use the restroom. In a place of business known to the public as CONVENIENT STORES I'd like to say that THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS ARE ALSO APART OF BEING CONVENIENT FOR THE PUBLIC not just the foods /snacks / drink items that are sold there. And they lady I spoke with telling her the men's restroom needs to be closed off as well said " has it gotten worse?" As if I knew what it looked like before but it jus disgusts me that they knew the restrooms looked that way and still left the men's room open and available to the public. IN THE FUTURE if this were to happen again I HIGHLY recommend that the restrooms door be locked so tha we the people cannot walk into something so horrendous and the air that is infected by sh*t particles. That is a serious health violation especially since holiday-YOU sell food every time any door opens or closes the air is being shared/ pushed out the bathroom or even the entrance and exit doors fresh air is entering the building as the air in the build is being pushed out. MY POINT IS TO DO BETTER!!!!!

The employees here are usually friendly and helpful which is rare given the experiences I've had at other locations. Gas stations are places I usually don't post a review on but my recent visits have been beneficial to me budget-wise. I had signed up for the Denali Peak Rewards a few months back and using the card to purchase gasoline and/or food has paid off. An app is available for the Denali Peak Rewards card through Google or the Apple store. Once you download the app on your phone and register your card, it will give you access to discounts on food and drink items that you won't normally see on display. The card will give you a discount on gasoline after accumulating enough points which also complements the Carrs Rewards card which gives you a 20 cent discount after buying a certain amount of groceries at their locations. At one point during my lunch break, I had enough points on the card which came out to a $5 discount on food thanks to my previous fill-ups. A sandwich, chips and a drink that cost $8 ended up being only $3 after redeeming the points. Some discounts are 2-fer deals or get extra points on regular-priced items that can only be found on the app and not on a store display. Of course, the prices on food are obviously higher than Fred Meyers next door, but accumulating a good amount of points from gasoline purchases helps me get a better deal on certain items here instead of dealing with the after-work crowd at Fred Meyers. A large bag of chips at $8 becomes $1 and a 12-pack of soda at over $10(!) becomes $2 thanks to the fill-ups. If you patiently wait long enough, you can save and collect enough points to cover the entire cost of filling up your gas tank. That has happened this past year that covered $25 and $30 worth of gasoline on previous visits. You can get these deals at all Chevron stations and not just this location specifically.
