This gas station at 6 Avenue a mile from 5th Avenue Malls this may be the cheapest gas station I have visited during our trip to Alaska. It is a perfect spot to get gas after the mall shopping. They have about 8 pump stations. Not fancy. They building equip with security cameras pointing toward the gas pump area. Quite secure. Their convenient store is Denali Express. DISGUSTING SERVICE !!! I would come here every few days to get gas. About 3 days ago i went in to buy some snacks and the employee walked up to me as i was peacefully shopping and questioned me. He thought I was some guy they have kicked out in the past. i'm a very mellow person never had an issue at any store, even after telling the guy and offering to show my I.D. he still wouldn't believe me. He allowed me to buy my things and leave while all the employees kept a close eye. Never have i felt more uncomfortable they seemed like they wanted to fight me for absolutely no reason. I gave this place five stars review two days ago because they're friendly service，today I have to change it to one star, Because of cashier Jake! I've been going to this store almost 2 weeks spent hundreds of dollars, every other employees are fine they're friendly except Jake and today's Manager. I was there 10am today and bought some food and Pack of camel crush, after paid for everything I asked cashier Jake "give me a bag", and he start to freak out, telling me I was rude, because I didn't say "give me a bag" the way he likes, then I told him I didn't mean to offend you, I'm just asking for a bag. But he started to yelling "I don't know where you from but get the F out!" I went to the manager, tried to ask him to help me, he was there the whole time, Saw and heard everything. But he decided to ignore me, even won't look at my eyes, so I returned everything, and decided leaving a bad review. I have to come here due to it being close to my job and the only thing open late night. I was frustrated the employee behind the counter after helping someone used his vapor in the store and when I walked up I walked three the cloud of smoke. I now have a migraine and am frustrated. Free air for your tires is a thing from another planet for where I'm from. I find this location easily accessible, but it's an absolute mess during rush hour. They carry diesel and have a few pumps for regular gas. The inside is clean and has a great array of snackies! read more

HORRIBLE gas station - I was picking up a friend of mine from there and the manager called the police on him just for asking to use the phone! I came to this gas station one evening after a long and stressful day, missing the bus because it was a Sunday and didn't realize when the buses stopped running, I was walking home and wanted to quickly grab a snack to eat. Browsing for something, I was thinking of buying a bag of chips and/or a soda but decided to put the chips back and get a hot dog because they were only a dollar. While trying to checkout, the employee blatantly accused me of stuffing a medium sized chip back into my jacket pocket, which was the most absurd thing I have ever heard considering how big that item was compared to the small size of my pocket, not even considering the amount of ruffling noise that would make. This was absolutely embarrassing that I would be slandered like that in front of what may of been 6-8 people in line, and all staring at me like I was a thief. I don't know if this kid was looking for a raise or what but to accuse someone of stealing without proof, he should of been fired on the spot and I wished he was. At least should of gave me my food free, coming out of his paycheck for an absurd accusation like that. What's even more stupid about this situation is that my jacket is worth $300+ and I had money so why would I steal $2 chips? read more
