Conveniently located near me when I greatly needed fuel. This gas station does the job in getting me back on the road ASAP. I filed formal complaints to the Santa Clara County department of Weights and Measures. They came and tested each pump and found the amount dispensed is correct. Maybe the owners fixed the issue since me and the other guy complained back in March/April. I'm super happy the county sent someone out to check! read more

They have low prices - but their pump shows more gas filled than what is actually. I have Macan - it was quarter tank. I filled full and it showed that it has pumped 17.5 gallons. That's wrong. The fuel capacity is 19.8 gallons of Macan. So it showed atlest 2 gallons more. I think*. I never paid this much - comparing to Costco / Chevron when I fill as same level. Be careful. This is my very first review on a gas station. The gas station is veryyy important to me because I rely on their prices on gas. While every gas station around me are pumping out my wallet, this one remains soo cheap. And I mean almost 20 cents cheaper at that! The service are like family friends so they always give me and my fam good treatment. They also fill my mini gasoline tank for cooking. Its pretty cheap here and like I said, they are on point. I agree with all the 1-star reviews but I'm giving this Arco 2-stars to appear to be more moderate than progressive, plus I'm mildly grateful that I didn't run out of gas. I only stopped here because I'd needed a gas station like 5-miles before I stumbled on this place and was desperate but let the record show that i'd otherwise have rather drank gasoline from another gas station than patronize any Arco. HATES: - They only take cash or debit, no credit, and you can't pay at the pump. Which is ridiculous. This is America. Pay your god damn taxes like the rest of us schlubs. - Because you can't pay at the pump the lines inside are just as ridiculous. - If you pay with debit card, you ALSO get charged a .37 cent service charge because gas companies do not make enough money to the point where they aren't even trying to nickel and dime you anymore they're just straight up thirty-seven-centing you. - Slow AF pumps LIKES: - I didn't run out of gas. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but some businesses just don't leave you a choice... Pros: -usually lower price, only 0.03 more than Costco/gallon BUT what they don't tell you are: Cons: -Only accepts cash or debut card, no credit -AND they don't tell you there's 0.45 extra charge on debit card!!!!!! Until you've swiped your card!!!! Maybe you should tell me this at the se time with others,ha? -one more thing, pump 7 does't have one of those clicks which you can put on automatic pump, you have to actually stand and press the trigger which for some reason stops every 15 seconds! I didn't know this place could get worse. Out of desperation, I stopped in here as I had cash. You have to pay cash inside as well. Put 20 on 8. Walk out to 8, the pump won't pump anything. Go back inside, the man is gone...hello....hellooooooooooooooooooo....hello? Look in the mechanics shop, no one. Look into the tv monitor where he is supposed to watch us, but now I am trying to find him..no where. Finally he appears. He had walked over to the liquor store in the strip center next door. Hey, #8 isn't pumping... Well, just back up to #7. Will you put my money on 7? Uhhh... So, now I am frustratred. It's 9pm, the guy should know that #8 doesn't work. And he isn't even responding to me. I get into the car to back into 7, a car pulls up and now has my 20 on their pump. I didn't know getting gas would take 10 minutes. I came here last Thursday to fill up my gas tank, only coming here because it was conveniently on the way home from work. However, besides the fact that this place only takes ATM or cash, their ATM swiper machine didn't work outside. After three tries, I went inside to ask the cash register attendant if he could do it manually for me inside the store. He was really rude to me, and unsympathetic to my attempts to pay, and told me that "I told you four times already that we only take ATM" which wasn't true. I was really unhappy with their customer service, besides the 35 cent additional charge fee to use the ATM instead of cash. I will NOT be coming back to this place again. read more

I come here to fill up my propane tanks. Good location especially when you need your tank filled up at the last minute. The man there has always been super friendly and helpful to me. I have a bbq and fire pit so I always have two on hand. Price has been between $16-18 for almost 5 gallons to fill up a 20lb tank. I can get 17ish hours of burn with flame up high and in some wind for each tank. read more

If you're like me who sometimes feels sketched out getting gas at night or alone - this place is for you! This place is always very well lit and the visibility to see around you is good too. If you pay for gas in cash and that makes you nervous - this place is also great for that, the men associates (the two that i've seen) are always very nice and greet you happily - I never have any issues with customer service here. Their snacks and drinks are nice and cheap too! Yes, there is a $.35 fee to use your card but if that bothers you...use cash??? It doesn't accept credit - cash/debt accepted though! The pay kiosk is gone it's now pay at whichever pump you pull up too. Gas prices here are always lower and it's easy to get a spot too. read more

Pain in the butt. You can't pay at the pump but at a "paypoint" kiosk, which means waiting for someone ahead of you. They didn't accept my credit card and charged $0.35 for me to use my debit card. Skip this station and go somewhere else. read more

For someone that uses multiple fuels this is a good place for gas, diesel, and filling propane bottles. However just as most stations for people that fill up vehicles with larger fuel tanks, you may have to swipe your card twice to fill up or go inside and pre-pay. Fuel prices are usually on the lower side. Can't say much about the staff, they seem to help and are friendly but communication is rough. When it comes to filling propane they can only fill the bottles with the large male thread. I brought a horizontal tank with female thread and no OPD valve. Was told it can't be filled anymore. Suburban Propane filled both for me no problem explaining they are exempt from OPD valve. Communication is key along with knowing what tanks you CAN and CAN'T fill if operating LPG filling station. read more

Arco Don't take the chance at this station. Andy Nazeui is the owner and he is a complete @ss. On 5/2015, I went here to fuel up here. I have been a customer of this Arco station for over 10 years. I have a diesel truck and they are one of the only stations around that has diesel fuel. I used the pay island provided by the station to purchase the fuel I needed that day. I had to cancel the transaction because of a problem with the pay island and start again. Eventually it worked and I was able to get fuel. About two week later when I got my bank statement I noticed two charges from the Arco on the same day. I contacted my bank and it was determined that both charges were done within a minute of each other. I went through the process with my bank to have one of the charges refunded to me. (See My post about Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union) and their unwillingness to help with the situation. I contacted the owner of the Arco Andy Nazeui and boy was that an eye opener. (To try and slim this down.) I requested the computer printout for the transaction, He refused. I requested the video which would support everything that I said happened on that day. He refused. I asked him to provide me the amount and type of fuel taken from the pumps my debit card accessed on that day. He refused. In a nut shell he refused to provide any of the information needed to remedy the situation. He told me that my card accessed two pumps that day, he had my pin number for the transactions and that he's not responsible if the pay island messed up. I again tried to explain to him what happened and that I canceled a transaction at the pay island which obviously never canceled. I explained to him that the video will prove that I only pumped fuel from one pump and that fuel was diesel. The other transaction I got charged for was a gasoline purchase from another pump. I asked again to see the video which will show me pumping from the diesel pump and then leaving the station. The video will also show who pumped the gas from the other pump I got charged for. He would not show me the video or give me any of the computer print outs. All of these items will prove exactly everything that I explained to him happened on that day. Some business practice! This is how they treat their long time loyal customers. I have attempted to remedy this problem with corporate and I am still waiting to hear from them on this matter. It is just a shame to think this is how a business practices now a days. We the consumers have so much power, but we never stick together. We could change these types of @ss business owners if the word just got out and we all stopped going to them. read more

i happen to like this arco. yeah, it's a tad rough looking, but they are very inexpensive, they tend to be about the same as costco down the road, except no huge lines. if i'm shopping at costco, and there are more than a few cars waiting for gas, i'll just come here instead. i like that their price sign is very prominently displayed, high in the air. when i commuted via lawrence to work every day, i got a sense of gas prices based on this station. yes, it's a bitch that you have to pay to use atm cards, and they don't take credit cards, but that's the same at every arco. they also sell good humor bars here. like the strawberry shortcake kind. i've never bought any, but it puts me in a good mood just seeing them. read more

Tried this place once. Very rude customer service like if they would try to scare all the customers away. I paid in cash and after pouring the gas the screen showed about 90 cents left, which I did not have time to claim. It seems to be a common feature for Arco gas station (see my review for another Arco station). It's probably how they make their profit. Most of people don't go back to fight for the money less than 1 dollar and often they just don't have time for it (or even don't notice). I suppose the owners don't pay taxes on the money stolen from their customers. P.S. I bought less than half of tank, so they could not say the tank was full! read more

Good price, but the damn pump handle is half broken. The little handle holder thing wasn't even attached on there. I had to stand there and hold the lever. On top of that I wasn't able to fill up over 100 dollars. I'm not sure if it was a debit card limitation or the arco station, but it was annoying anyways. read more

the review i posted last week on Al's arco was WRONG. the reason the money all the money in my debit account was taken that day was due to my debit card company. i was not very nice to the employees of that station and was putting the blame on them. when i called my card company they let me no it was them . the employees at Al's never lost there cool and treated me with respect and offered me a free coke for the trouble. i stand corrected and thank ever one at Al's arco for being professional when i forgot how. It is 3:46 AM. I was told this station is open 24/7. It is not. It is closed, and I am running low on gas.

Even though I have bought gas at the station several times since I moved to this area I will never go there and buy gas again. They did not remember me going to their store filling up two of my cars and also my propane tank for my barbecue so on the day I went to go get air for my tire I did not need gas for my car that day they refused to give me air they should remember their customers.
