I've been coming to this Chevron for the last 5 years and I've consistently experienced the same terrible customer service from the same rude older lady (Irene) as well. This morning (4/13/24 at 6:43am) Irene was rude, nasty and disrespectful! What kind of employee is so nasty and rude first thing in the morning? Super clean but still the SLOWEST pumps on the planet. For the prices we are pay paying, you need to upgrade these pumps. Each gallon is clocking 22 seconds. Sounds reasonable until you realize most places are more like 8 seconds a gallon. Time is money. read more

It's personally difficult to write anything spectacular about a gas station, but I've been going to Hy's Chevron consistently for many years now since they're relatively close by. Their gas pump nozzles currently don't use those annoying spring-loaded, secondary sheath (vapor recovery). A lot of riders will appreciate this when filling up their bikes. read more

The car started to overheat here as I was driving home from work, so I pulled over while the gas station was closed and it is soooo creepy. I would NEVER leave my car here. Every so often someone would drive through the gas station as if they didn't know it was closed (even though there were no lights on) or they were just creepy. The only light that shines in this area at night are from the lights changing colors. The whole time I was there, there was a car just parked at one of the gas pumps, no one in the car, it was just there at night when the whole station was closed and there was no light. So creepy... I wish I had pulled over on the side of the road instead... Anyways, my point is even if I had left my car here when it was broken, I would have been afraid the entire time if my car would be there the next day... read more

The cashier clerk, Irene, needs a attitude adjustment. She is rude and not happy with her life what-so-ever. My iPhone charger cord broke and I stopped at chevron conveniently. I asked if she had any iPhone charger cords. She whips out a cardboard box full of different chargers. (All cheap quality chargers) I chose one and rang up. I couldn't read the pin screen so adjusted just a tad and she flipped out. She flipped out like I just stole. Very unwelcoming and she shouldn't be in customer service. P.S. if you don't want anyone adjusting your pin pad, please put a sign. read more

Gas is gas - but there is a repair shop here. Once, I brought my car in because there was a loud rattling under the hood that hadn't existed before. I asked the mechanic what it was, and he told me it was just because my car was old. I took my car to Economy Auto (in Sunnyvale), and the mechanic there immediately identified the problem and fixed it the next day. So, I decided, well, I'll just go to Economy Auto for repairs and go to Hy Chevron for my oil changes, since it is closer to my house. So, two weeks ago, I stop by for an oil change - the mechanic says, "Wow, about time you got a new car!" Well, whatever, so he's rude. I'm just getting my oil changed. He tells me to come back in an hour. All right, fine. I drive home, call again in an hour. He says he has time. So I drive there - the mechanic tells me it'll only take 15 minutes. I wait for 15 minutes in the scorching heat... and after 15 minutes, he emerges from the garage and informs me that he just can't change the oil today. Why not? Well, there is a cover underneath your car and my lift is an X-shape, so I can't remove the cover to do an oil change. All right, fine, I said, but don't you have another lift? Yes, I do, but someone else is going to bring their truck soon, and they will use the lift. Fine, I understand. So when can I bring the car back? "Well, I don't have time, bring it next week. Maybe I'll have time." Is this guy serious? I can get my car's oil changed just about anywhere, why would I wait an entire week - for a "maybe"? I waited 15 minutes in the heat for this guy to tell me he couldn't change the oil. Give me a break. I ended up going to Economy Auto instead - Hy Chevron has completely lost my business (and the gas isn't cheap either, so I really don't have a reason to return). read more

Pumping full tank of gas. While waiting, aged about 3 years. This gas station takes forever when pumping gas. Otherwise, not bad.

Not the closest to my house, but pretty much the only gas station I go to. I have had problems before (carbon buildup) from using Arco/AMPM gas within, I kid you not, MONTHS of having my car. (It's pretty new being a 2012) I swore not to feed my baby that s*** ever again! Since then, I haven't used another gas station. (Maybe 76 once or twice, due to convience) besides Chevron, and most times, this Chevron. The man who works there is really chill, he is there almost all the time. (All the crazy hours I be fillin' her up to go up to Skyline) but late at night he does business through the window (for protection). All the pumps work, and don't tweak out all the time. All in all, this is my favorite place to fill up the tank! read more

Decent Gas prices for Chevron, Provides vehicle repair and Free Water and Air. Cigarettes are a little on the Pricey Side though.

My Mom was visiting and her car was making noise. I knew it was a wheel bearing and didnt feel like dealing with it. Called around for quotes and didnt hear anything under $400, just out of curiosity I called these guys. $280 was the quote and done in less than 2 hours. Same day got a quote for new rotors and breaks on my wives car from several different shops in the area, these guys came in at $180.00 less than anyone around. They were fast, very nice, and explained what went wrong ( What really went wrong was my Wife bought a Toyota.) Great place and will take my cars here in the future and being we have a Toyota we will be back. read more

They get the one star because I have to give one. Went in because my kid had to use the restroom. The attendant wouldn't let her use the restroom unless I bought something and she had the worst attitude. I will never buy gas or even chewing gum from this place. read more

I got my 60k servicing done here. I think the people are nice to deal with, punctual and courteous. Those are the good things. As part of the 60k servicing I asked them to replace the rear differential fluid because my Honda CRV was making squealing noises in the rear wheels when making sharp U-turns (this is a well known problem for the 4WD honda CRVs). They said that they will do it as part of the 60k servicing and wrote it out in their work order. At the time of taking my car back I asked them again to confirm that they had changed the rear differential fluid. They said yes. The noise however didnt stop. I went back to them after about a year (just before the warranty on their work was about to expire) and told them that the squealing noise hadnt stopped yet (Most drivers for Honda CRVs report that the noises stop after they change the rear diffferential fluid). The owner sent someone from the shop for a test drive and then raised the car up and told me that it was the rear axle bushing which were broken and I needed to change them and it would cost me about $400 of work. I asked them to write me an estimate, which they refused to do. After a few weeks I took the car to another mechanic who replaced the rear differential fluid again and the noises stopped. This makes me wonder if Hy Chevron was lying all along about changing the rear differential fluid. Changing this fluid is not part of their "standard" servicing package and I had negotiated it as an extra with them. I am going to try to ask them their opinion about this. If they give me a satisfactory explanation or restitution then I will come back and give them more stars else this my opinion of them currently. read more

I got to say that it's pretty frustrating but they have a minimum purchase for credit cards... I understand it's expensive so I need those machines but seriously. Also I was there a few days ago and one of the rudest ladies I've ever met I was behind the counter telling me about this rule of the errors. Just because I didn't know and didn't mean you had to insult me. Just saying. Today I had an OK experience, did not end up purchasing anything I was curious what kind of medicine they had. Easy to get in and out of for fuel from either direction on Lawrence Expressway or Pruneridge Ave. I live across the street and have going here for a couple of years. Several friends have gone here for smog checks and were impressed with how quickly they were able to get in and out. My go-to station. read more

Leaving nearby Kaiser hospital with a broken arm, A low tire notice popped up. I stopped at the closest gas station. It looked clean and safe. I was able one handed to fill up with gas. I went to the attendant and asked for help with air for my tires. She pointed to a sign behind her stating no tire service no exceptions. She said something about the possibility of a tire blowing up. Is putting air in the tire more dangerous than gasoline? I saw one mechanic and one attendant working, and as all three bays of the garage were full there may have been more employees on site. These people were intelligent enough to be hired to work at a gas station, they are required by law to help a handicapped person fill up with gasoline, yet they were unable to help someone with limitations put air in a tire? Where is the reasonableness? Where is the customer service? Where is the common sense? read more
