Stop do not shop at this place. They are price gouging people and I wouldn't trust anyone that marks everything up in their store ridiculously high I wouldn't buy gas from them. I wouldn't buy anything. Do not trust someone that price gouges. I sent my kids into the store. One of them got a hotdog and the other one got a snickers bar. They charged them $10. I went back into the store and they said so how much do you charge for your hotdogs and they said five dollars. So I said so how much do you charge for a snickers bar? They said five dollars I said yeah you just charge my kids $10 for a cheap hotdog and a snickers bar candy bar. So you charge five dollars for a hotdog and five dollars for a candy bar. Who does that that is a little uncalled for don't you think why would you charge so much for either one of those I wouldn't shop ever again don't even stop there if they are price gouging then you think you could trust them. But I didn't give this place 5 stars just because of their stellar 87 octane, or the fact that they seem to have a continuous presence of illegal aliens sitting around back. This Arco gas stations did not have restrooms in the store. Instead it had a single "porta potty" near the outskirts of the parking lot. IT WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!! It was nearly full and the broken toilet seat had fecal material spread all over. I had just returned from Baja, Mexico and all facilities looked much better. read more

The new car wash is surprisingly awesome! The guys take they're time to insure the job is being done right! My only gripe is that the vacuums have little suction, this is a new remodel and I am confident the bugs will be worked out. As for the gas station portions... They are all douche bags in there + inflated gas prices based on location. read more

Whenever you go in there ask for a itemized receipt showing all the items you bought. Make sure they are not overcharging you. They will play stupid like they don't know what that is. I have caught them like 4 times trying to charge me like a dollar extra. A dollar ($1) is not much but imagine..... $1 x how many customers a day= ripping off the customers!!!! Now they have a recycling center. How easy is it to rip off the customer there... And the propane, why don't they fill it all the way up? You ask them and they don't understand you. I see a lot of bad reviews, but personally have always had a pleasant experience. Sue always has a smile and is very friendly! She has given my boys free ice cream cones and when she found out I was getting married, she gave me a free bottle of champagne! I believe, for the most part, giving kindness, begets kindness! Loyalty helps too! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because, like ALL convenience stores, they are a liitle steep on some of their prices. I personally wouldn't give ANY convenience store 5 stars, just for that reason. But hey, we are paying for convenience! Having lived in the area for a long time, I have to say for the most part I've learned to avoid this place. Mainly just because the owners seem to value money over anything else. And at least in my case it seems like nothing good comes from going here. First off it's very common for them to almost always be the most expensive station in the area, though most times they often have the same prices as the 7-11 down the road, seeing as how both are ARCO stations. They offer other services like oil changes and car washes and while the oil change place is so-so. The car washing side seems to lack in service/attention to detail. I remember the last time I went there and decided to get one of their more expensive washing packages. Now I have a pretty small car that in hindsight I probably could have done most of it myself in an afternoon, but I was in a rush. I went for a quick bite of lunch and came back to find that despite having a very small car that would have been easy to detail,wax,etc....they hadn't bothered to even half of the stuff listed in the package....needless to say I'm just gonna wash my car at home from now on. (also I've heard they use the car was for a money laundering scam anyway) Inside the station it's more of the same. Their store is ok but service/quality is sort of lacking and their prices on everything seem to vary on what kind of mood their in that day or if there's any major demand for anything due to a natural disaster or blackout. And though it may sound odd one thing I have noticed that seems to be consistent is that their ICEE machine NEVER seems to work properly. I actually don't get drinks like that very often but every now and then I start craving one and every time I've gone here to get one, their machine NEVER seems to work properly always gives me a red slushy liquid that doesn't firm up like it's supposed to and is NOT what you're supposed to get....so needless to say anytime I get a craving for one big enough to get out of the house I head down to the 7-11 But really the worst part that proves they are just about money is what happened there during the Harris fire a few years ago. It's basically become a well known story in the community. But during the Harris fire a bunch of firefighters came into the store to get some drinks/food....because of course they were working their butts off trying to fight the fire and save people's homes. Now they were in their full protective outfits and didn't have their wallets or any money on them at the time. And normally that wasn't really a problem because what they usually did was give any store/business owner an IOU that from their station that they could collect on later. And practically everyone in the community was fine w/ that....everyone that is EXCEPT the woman who owns this station. She straight out REFUSED to let them have the drinks and stuff unless they paid for it right then and there! There were actually other people in the store that witnessed this (and of course spread the story) a few offered to pay for the firefighters after the woman's greedy refusal and one guy was apparently so disgusted at this he had an ice cream or sandwich or something that he quickly made a point of squashing and telling them he'd never come back there again. And really given my experiences I have to say I've tried to do the same. read more

On two different occasions I put a twenty dollar bill in the machine for diesel fuel and neither time did it register the credit. I spoke to the lady/owner who told me both times to come back tomorrow after the people had come to collect the money from the machine. I went back the next day and she told me there was no overage; ergo, I must not be telling the truth. I've mentioned this to other people living in Jamul and all have reported similar incidents of being cheated. I want to give it 4 stars because its the only gas station in the area, but the lack of selection and high prices take it down a star. They recently expanded their ice cream selection to include 1.5 pints and their beer selection to more than bud and coors. They now carry shocktop , blue moon, and some ballast point, which is surprising for such a small store. I live very near to this establishment but will go out of my way to avoid it. The gas is not good and over-priced. It always smells badly inside and the one time I was going to get a fountain soda there were flies and mold on the machine. As a member of the Jamul community, I goto Diana's AM/PM frequently. I love that you can pull into the parking lot and not have to wait for a gas pump or parking space. When I walk into the store, I am always greeted by my name and asked how I am doing. The store is very clean and has lots of snacks and alcohol to choose from. Once in awhile, I am even offered a free freshly baked cookie, cool soda or warm coffee. That's so nice. You can't always believe what some people say. I have lived in Jamul for 20 years and will go out of my way to avoid this place. The employees are always rude and unfriendly, the carwash is terrible, and since they're too cheap to run the air conditioning in the summer you'll get a half melted candy bar. I live fairly close to this store/gas station but generally do not stop here because of several bad experiences and the fact that the owner refused to help out some of our hard working, courageous fire fighters during the Harris fire. However today I decided to try out the new car wash and went inside the store for a drink. The floor is filthy and so are most surfaces. For example, the front of the trash can had nacho cheese smeared all over it. I regularly drive down the hill to other gas stations for gas because last year my gas tank was very close to empty so I stopped. After putting about $5 of Regular Unleaded gas in my tank, I realized that I was being charged for Premium. I immediately stopped and went inside where I was basically accused of trying to scam them out of some premium gas. The owner kept insisting that I selected the wrong grade and only gave me my money back when I got really angry and demanded that she come outside and check the tank. It turns out that the Regular and Premium buttons had been switched. They were trying to scam people, not me. I would never recommend anyone go to this store but if you do, stay on your toes. read more
