Was on my way down from Jamul casino when I spotted this 711. Never step foot in here prior to this. They have a big gas stationed conjoined to it. It was pretty busy, lots of cars and people inside but the line moved pretty quickly when her partner helped her. It's your typical 711 with smokes, scratchers, ice bags, sodas, beer and snacks. They have a red box outside. I have not seen a Red Box at much places anymore. Outside have water dispenser and a propane refill. Its pretty clean inside the store. read more

We've been stopping at this 7-Eleven for over 30 years since my brother-in-law first moved to Jamul. Back then, it marked a wide spot on Campo Road. I'm glad it was here this week when i needed to stop for a quart of oil. read more

Today- September 25, 2023- at 8:40 pm, i came in here to get a Coke. I had been downtown writing and hanging out in the city, and i had a very productive and nice day. Then i came back to Jamul. There were two people behind the counter: a younger looking cashier (who was helping me) and an older cashier. Thinking that there might be a teeny chance that the cashiers knew anything about gas price fluctuations, i asked about it. The older cashier started ranting at me about Joe Biden and Gavin Newsom.. and when i became baffled by the idea that people are so tacky nowadays that they bring their politics TO WORK and spew them at random customers (?!?!?!??!?), i was actually LAUGHED AT. Why would you hire someone like this? Lately every time i come in here i am met with subpar treatment and meh facilities, but this? Come on. But ok, i'll play your game. I don't like Trump. I don't like Biden. I don't like Newsom. I don't like any of our "leaders" because i believe they are all puppets. I believe blaming everyone else/"the others"/random outgroup for all of our problems makes you part of the problem, a sheep, a weak link. Why? It's lazy. It's easier to point and scream than actually solve problems. And it's disgusting and embarrassing to attack your customers with your regurgitation of fake news. Gross. read more

I went to this 7-11 today right after Jamul Casino. I went in to buy some beer. The cashier name Katie look really young. I started joking with her and found out that she was only 18. There was no other cashier around. I was so surprised cause she even asked me for id. I was honey I am 32 way older then you. I couldn't believe that a 7-11 would have an 18 year old saleing alcohol when them their self can't buy it I really feel that is immortal and against the law right. Usually decent price for gas. Have a Redbox out front. They sell the usual 7/11 stuff. If you need a day worker, stop by in the morning and they are all hanging out on the side of the store. Not an uncomfortable situation as apparently everybody is okay with it, including the Border Patrol who often stop by to buy things themselves. read more

So disappointing.. My grammer and spelling might be off because I'm so pissed. Came here on a late Sat night because I promised my kiddos a redbox movie and promised my lil brother his weekend ice cream treat. Since the pandemic our redbox is our weekend treat. As I'm walking through noticed they sold Keto cookies and thought "hmm what a treat ill grab two". Continued shopping to get more movie treats then the cashier lady (that we've had help us on many occasions) approaches me and says "uh just so you know EBT won't pay for those cookies etc" First off, I wasn't even ready to pay so how would she assume I was going to pay with food stamps, secondly, how would you assume just by my appearance and think I was going to pay with EBT anyways? I guess being pregnant with two children at my side and being latina walking in a 7 eleven for snacks is a probable cause for assuming my family is on food stamps? That makes it ok right? Ummm Noooo.. Or could it be that I looked like i wouldn't be able to afford what i had in my hands? Since when should I have to worry about what I look like before walking into a 7-Eleven? I immediately looked down at my attire and thought wow what am I or my kids wearing that made her think I couldn't afford to pay for my own snacks? I was so flustered at the time I couldn't put together my thoughts fast enough with a better response. Not to mention my kids were with me I did not want to cause a scene and make them feel what I felt.. All i could come up with was "Whats EBT? " I mean gosh, we weren't even in the store more than 5 minutes and already the stereo typing and assumptions start? Either way I've never been on food stamps in my life and work full time in Healthcare industry for over 15 years. Own my own home on a beautiful ranch in Jamul and by looking at me she had the audacity to say "um EBT won't cover those cookies etc" I'm disappointed..We go to 7-Eleven almost every Friday night for treats and redbox and NEVER have I ever been made so uncomfortable in my own skin. I always get gas here when I am out this way. It is a great spot in a good location. The only issue I have here are all the homeless folks and/or day laborers that hang out in the parking lot. I think they should clean that up because it is a nuisance. They even have a portapotty in the parking lot because I am sure they have issues with folks. Otherwise, gas is priced okay, and their market is typical of a 711 so it is really a convenient station. read more

This place is the worst. The pumps are cramped together and if you have to go in, expect to spend quite a few minutes waiting, which slow the already cramp lot up and frustrates a lot of people. I have decided, after two heart that I will no longer patron this 711. read more

There's always great service and great gas prices. Great gas prices also means more people there so during busy times of days you might have to wait a little bit. There's also a red box in front for all your renting needs! read more

Worst customer service and their cashiers have a bad attitude I will never spent a dollar there

I have never had bad service at this 7 Eleven, ever- the cashiers are super nice, but today (approx. 5 pm) I got a VERY unhappy cashier. They were having a rush so I was lenient at first but wtf? She was on the right register and there was a guy on the left (from customer point of view). I was waiting on my s/o to finish his purchase and set my things down to wait until he moved to push them toward the cashier. In the middle of his transaction she slammed her hand down on my items and basically snatched them over to ring them up. I said, very bubbly mind you, "oh I was going to scoot them over to you when he was done".. she completely ignored me. Her body language was very jerky too. I've worked in customer service a lot and I understand when you have a rush you can get overwhelmed, but she was just absurd. I've been coming here for over 4 years, it's the closest gas station/7 Eleven to my home, and I have never gotten rudeness like that. That cashier needs to grow up. read more

Stopped off here this afternoon to get gas and noticed a sign on the front door that advertised $1.30 off ANY two packs of Marlboro so I went inside. Firstly, the cashier was on the phone, evidently a personal call as she was arranging plans for the following day, she put the caller on hold and I asked her for two packs and pointed to the ones I wanted. SCORE as both packs had a manufacturers funded promotion (advertised on each pack) of 50c off. Now, whilst I didn't get an A level in math, my calculation made that to be $1.15 off each packet which according to the receipt are regularly priced at $8.10 per pack plus tax. This is when things went sideways, the cashier asked another assistant how to ring up the items correctly as I questioned if the price I was being charged reflected both discounts. The colored lady with the purple lipstick seemingly had no knowledge of the sign on the front door and had no interest in walking the short distance from the counter to the door to read it. She informed me that I couldn't get both discounts which I brought to her attention was false advertising. She grabbed the cigarettes from the counter and asked me did I want them or not ... I told her I had already paid for them to which she responded that I should calm down. I have worked upper management in customer service for 29 years and if any of my employees spoke to one of my customers with such disrespect they'd be looking for another job. So there we are two packs of cigarettes and a FIFTY CENT discount. I'll certainly be taking this further!! Yes, I know I need to kick a bad habit! read more

Not to long ago when I attended high school and had a free block I'd come down to this 7-11 and pick up some ice coffee sometimes I'd be just myself but other times it'll be with a friend or two, the place is pretty clean and the service was pretty good in my option, the only thing that was weird about the place was that everytime I went their were many people standing outside, I'd like to say workers but not the ones that actually work at the store lol, other then that weird Hick up everything else was wonderful! read more
