I grab one of these every time I come, they're amazing!!!

Some of the cheapest gas in the area! I'm one of those firm believers that Costco has the cheapest gas at all times until I drove by here! Walking in, the store is big and packed with lots of good stuff. It's like a giant 711. The coffee section is a coffee lovers heaven!!!!! I was impressed. They have these little fig snacks up at the front that taste amazing. It's all snacks galore, they have it all. Chips, candy, gum, drinks and even hot dogs. Not only was gas super cheap, but I grabbed some coffee and snacks as well. The place is big, clean and fully stocked. Cashier was super friendly. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area.

I was struggling to get my gas with my card, but I just asked for help and the lovely man and woman were so helpful and kind.

We're there about 5 times a year, and probably stop at the gas station 3 or 4 times each time we visit. Our friends and family who live in Jamul visit regularly as well. **Not anymore.** Just after Christmas, we were gassing up to head back to Nevada. I made a mistake and didn't remove the gas pump from the car before we started to drive off. Stupid, I know, but it happens more than you might think. I wanted to be honest about it, so I went in and let the attendant know. He immediately seemed flustered, and asked that we wait for him to come out, so we did. He seemed frantic and explained to us that this had just happened the other day and the people took off. He said he got in trouble for that, so now he was advised to take insurance information if it happened again. We were reluctant, but cooperative nonetheless. The attendant took pictures of my girlfriends ID and insurance with his personal cell phone, which I found extremely off putting. He never asked for our names or contact information, and actually refused to take our numbers. I took several pictures before we left, just to be safe, and to show that no real damage had been done to the pump or the hose. Luckily, the gas station was equipped with quick release hoses, because this does happen more than you might think. The next day our insurance called and said the gas station put in a claim for $300. I worked at a gas station for several years, and I can tell you they pay nowhere near that amount to reconnect the hose. Especially when there is zero damage. I believe the charge is $85.00, but even so, I'd prefer to pay either small amount personally and not claim it on our insurance. I tried to reach the manager to discuss, and every single person I spoke with was rude. As if asking for the manager is against the rules or something. I kept getting told "he's not here" and "call back later". After a full week of this runaround, I got fed up and asked them to have the manager to call me. He did less than an hour later, and I'm still shocked at how dishonest he was with me. I explained what happened and let him know I thought $300 was excessive. He gave me a lot of circular talk about "California is different" trying to justify the charge, and didn't seem to understand the fact that I'd prefer to pay privately instead of using my insurance. I asked why he didn't try to work with us first, and then he started outright lying. He said that when it happened, that the attendant asked us to pay $300 and that we refused. That is an absolute lie. The attendant specifically told us he had no idea what would happen or what the charge would be. He actually apologized to us, which I found very nice, since it was in no way his fault. I mentioned the picture that was taken, and Nick said that the attendant never took pictures of anyone's ID or insurance. Really? How'd you get the information then? I told him that wasn't true, and he could not have cared less. He then tried to say that we sat and argued with the attendant, and that he knew this because he was on the phone the entire time. That NEVER happened. The attendant never called anyone while we were there, and we were more than pleasant with him. I mean, he didn't do anything wrong, I was the one who messed up. I told Nick that he was lying, and he simply hung up. That's right. When confronted with his own dishonesty, he shut down completely. I called back and offered to pay whatever he wanted to resolve the issue by phone, just to be done with it, and he said "we only take cash". Really, Nick? Like I mentioned, we visit regularly, and we have a lot of family in the area. I will be sure that everyone I know NEVER visits this place ever again. I don't mind the fact that you want to charge us for the mistake, that should be evident by the fact that I took responsibility by alerting your staff of what happened. We could've just taken off, but I chose to be honest. Accusing me of refusing to pay or arguing with your attendant is total garbage. It simply isn't true. Do yourself a favor and avoid this rip off artist. Based on the reviews, it seems like their auto shop has similar issues with honesty. No good deed goes unpunished I guess. Thanks, Nick!
