There's 3 levels of service and even the highest is only $11.99 for the all works wash that includes an under carriage clean, otherwise the lowest car wash is a few dollars cheaper. The gas here is a bit on the higher end even for SoCal standards. The air tire pump station does charge unless you go into shop and ask the attendant for the code, I believe you're expected to either buy gas or make a purchase in the shop to get the code for it but it should be free air! read more

Most of the employees here are rude. Had more than one incident within a 2 month period recently with different employees that were equally outright rude. They essentially yell at the customer because there pumps don't work, or the pumps don't accept credit cards, or there doing construction in the middle of peak business hours. They don't even make an effort to pretend they like people. I've gone through my entire life with zero issues from a gas station and this location managed to break records for multiple incidents. This is one of the few Arco locations that takes credit cards. They also have a prepay carwash drive thrus so it is convenient when you need some quick exterior lather and rinsing done. There is a horrible man that works at nights/weekends. His name tag says Thomas but we think his name is Stephen? I have been dealing with this man for over a year and his nasty rudeness!!! This Arco gas station is located within a shopping center of several others businesses which include banks, supermarkets & several restaurants. This Arco gas station also contains an AM/PM. If you are traveling north/south of the 405 this gas station is easily accessible right off of the 405 freeway at Sand Canyon, exit #3. I find the gas prices to be right on pace with others in the area. The gas pumps themselves are separated from the rest of the parking lot which makes traveling in & out of this lot much easier. This parking lot is also the staging area for bicycle riders in the area so be on the lookout for people flying around on bicycles. This Arco gas station usually has supplies to clean your windows especially when you are on a road trip. As for the AM/PM itself it is Ok. Inside they sell your typical cold drinks, alcohol, lottery tickets, energy drinks and food. During off hours the doors to this AM/PM are locked and all business is conducted through a security window. This tends to be my 'go to' location to play the lottery when in the area. This afternoon, my wife had a fairly minor problem here with the fueling equipment, with an easy and cheap solution. The male counter attendant showed barely any compassion or understanding to my wife. So much so, that she called me on my cell and I happened to be near the area coming from my own small business. (Running a small business, I get it, it's not easy). In any event, the clerk said there is absolutely nothing he would do about it, and was not open to the $7.99 solution that I suggested, merely on principle. And yes, I know the margins on gas are microscopic, but it really was a genuine attempt to appease everyone. Fortunately, the female manager, on duty, his boss, stepped in, we discussed the issue, and she thought about it, and she quickly solved it on the spot, AND thanked us for our business. She showed the initiative to come in and solve the problem, which is exactly what I try to do when a customer is not pleased. I commend her for that. We will continue to do business here. My FAVORITE place to come everyday before work, I always get gas and my occasional coffee and I generally see the same people and I'm ALWAYS greeted with big smiles and the "hey how are you??!" Thomas, thomas, thomas.... Pray not to run into this man... Walked in to grab a pack of tobacco.. Thomas asked for my ID.. I handed him my green card.. I was instantly denied due to company policy they can not accept ID other than a state issued ID.. Since I lost my DL and DMV sent it to wrong address (which is another yelp review it self) I went to the car and grabbed the interim DL from my dashboard. Again I was denied by good ol MR Thomas... Company policy states that it can only be state issued ID's ... I simply asked to see this policy when then I again got denied. I asked to speak to a manager and of course he was not there... I asked what would a tourist do if they were visiting from another county? He replied with "they would have to get a DL" OK!!! First of all.. What tourist would get a DL to buy cigarettes??? Second of all DMV will not issue a DL to a non resident.. So get your facts right before explaining a non existent company policy to a customer.. To me this is the most racist and ridiculous policy I have heard of.. I am 33 years old. You can tell I am not underage... If no than that was the only compliment.. I've been going to this arco since I moved to Quail Hill in 2004. Ordinarily, everything here is great. Today however, I encounter the worst customer service I've ever seen. I purchased gas at the pump and decided to add a car wash. 5 cars were ahead of me in the car wash cue. I waited about 25 minutes until we were at the car wash entry. When I entered the wash code on my receipt, it said "invalid code." I tried the code several times before going into the store to ask for help. When I asked for help, the sales person (Found out later his name was Steve) said the code was good and told me to try it again. When i drove my car around, the line was again 5 cars deep, and I did not want to spend another 25 minutes waiting in the line. I asked the same sales person to refund my car wash and I was told that no refunds are issued Monday-Friday because there is no manager on duty. I asked for a number I could perhaps call and he said no. There is no one to call. I find it hard to believe that they have no one to call in an emergency. I asked for his name and the sales person dismissed me, and asked if the person behind me needed help. When he was through helping her, he ran in the back. I poked my head in the door and again asked for his name and he yelled at me to get out because I was trespassing. I went back out to the front and asked the other salesperson to please furnish me with that workers name. He politely said Steve. I will follow up with the manager on Monday. I know these places have video footage. Being a business owner myself, i'd pull the footage and take a look how it was handled. The customer service here was unacceptable. I think I would have had a different reaction if he'd have asked me politely to come back or call when there is a manager on duty. That was not what happened.
