My appointment was for a Keratin with Restoration Treatment AND haircut. I was told when I made the appointment NOT to purchase on Groupon (even though I found it there). The owner Marleni indicated she would honor the price of $147 and told me to save my questions for when I arrived. At the appointment, I was told it was safe and organic and that it came from plants. Marleni said the keratin would make my hair softer and stronger and take the frizz out. What she didn't share was that it wouldn't wash out the same day, that it would burn my skin and that she would proceed to spend hours burning the gummy substance into each strand of my hair one small strip at a time, after she pried each section apart as if it were glued together while I winced and repeatedly asked her to stop hurting me. She had an assistant in the shop who didn't speak English who dropped the entire rolling cabinet of supplies on the floor and then put them back without cleaning them and then spent the rest of my appointment sitting in front of me just staring. So rude. Later, I realized those were the same tools being used to work through my sticky burnt hair. My hair is dark brown but many patches of it are now completely fried and burnt white ... hours later after washing my hair in the coldest water, my scalp feels like it was lit on fire. Because she had to pull so much to get through the glue (which she said afterwards had formaldehyde, the reason she said she used gloves), much of my hair fell out and continues to fall out. She said I complained too much but would not stop when I asked her to stop. I left several hours into the ordeal but before the 'rinse' or the haircut and still paid full price just for the ability to leave. It is going to take a lot of cold washes to deal with the burning and sticky residue. Worst part is the owner was so arrogant and had no remorse whatsoever.
