Both my boys were due for cuts. My husband came here a few weeks ago, and had a good haircut. Kids cuts are only $20, so I got online on Friday and booked appointments for them. They had lots of appointments available on Saturday. Online booking was extremely easy, and I received a confirmation email right afterward. The location is fantastic, and there is plenty of convenient parking. We showed up right on time, and Sean got started on my youngest. He was friendly and worked great with my 3 year old. He did a great job. My middle child was next and I think it was Eddy who helped him, he did a great job too and had some suggestions for a better cut for his hair type next time. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don't accept any payment besides cash. I don't carry cash, and didn't have a debit card on me. We don't live too far away so my husband brought some cash over but that was a pain. I looked back through the booking process as well as the confirmation email and I couldn't find where it was written that they only accept cash. I generally come prepared and would have done so if I'd known. We will definitely be back, we'll just be prepared with cash next time. Looking at other yelp reviews now, if I had done that before I would have realized that cash was needed. read more

After several bad experiences at Cookie Cutters, Hair Cuttery and Supercuts (they don't open at the hours displayed on their door), I checked out the little kids' hair cuts on Primo's page and said I'd give it a shot. I called 15 minutes before I arrived and asked if they would cut my two year olds hair. They were well staffed for a Saturday with at least 7 barbers working. Jay (Jermaine) was excellent! He had my son sitting pretty still for the 15 minutes it took to cut his hair. By the time we left, there were probably about 5 other little boys waiting to get their hair cut. I wound give 5 stars, but the inconvenience of cash only was a tad bothersome. For $20, I decided I'll be back with cash. This was our first trip to this shop. My son got an awesome haircut and as my daughter and I were waiting for him I noticed my daughters hair wasn't even - we had just come from another salon and they totally messed up her hair. I asked one of the barbers who didn't have a client if he could help me by fixing her hair. He looked a little nervous about it and at first declined but then ended up helping her. He was so kind and her hair looks great now! It's a very quiet place as far as talking goes so if that's what your looking for then this may not be the place for you. But. My hard part is a scab the next day. Most of the barbers seem to be in a rush. There were no other customers. I had stopped by Monday and they were closed at 5:40, sign says 6:30. It was suggested when I got a cut the next day that I call to make sure they are open next time, because they like to close when it's slow. They closed before 6 while I was still there. I've been there and listened to an employee get into a shouting and cursing match with an angry customer over the phone before. The times the owner is there also have a bad vibe. Not sure if they just don't care or what. There's one barber worth your time, and she's only there Wednesday. I'd have come back then but already had a prior commitment and really needed a haircut. They also have a cash only policy. I think it used to be decent, but after my last experience, this place has lost my business, look elsewhere. read more

Very modern and clean place. My haircut looks good, however I have several large burning scrapes and marks on my head, neck and face due to the clippers being defective and or the barber being too aggressive while cutting. Beyond that, I had only gotten a shape up, mustache trim, and eyebrow trim.... there was no hair shaved off the top of my head at all.... I had a haircut just a week ago at my primary barber in Orlando..... guess how much my haircut costed.... $40 I approached the counter with my array of debit / credit cards and Apple Pay to be informed that they only take cash. I was then directed to the ATM at the back of their barber shop which has a $3 surcharge. I still tipped the barber a few dollars because I felt bad, not knowing how much of that $40 would go to him. Went there with my boyfriend after suggesting it to him. The shop he used to go to recently closed and I saw that Promo's high reviews on here and thought "what could go wrong?"... His hair was so badly mangled that we went to a different shop a day later so he could get a buzz cut. The owner is a serious loud mouth. The whole time he was cutting hair he seemed disinterested and was carrying out a very loud conversation with another barber across the room about real estate or something. That on top of the loud hip hop music gave me a headache. I guess I should mention the actual haircut even though I could go on about the atmosphere alone. My boyfriend usually gets an undercut and when the owner was done it looked like a flat top, he only needed a trim btw. Stay away from this place. .... Also, the owner of the shop recently contacted me stating that "there was miscommunication" and bribing me that he would "do anything" to take the bad review down. In my opinion, providing a better service to his costumers would be a better solution than trying to bribe genuine costumers to remove bad reviews. read more

Absolute trash. Don't be fooled by the reviews, they are mostly written by the family of the owner or other barbers set up there. The owner gave me a haircut once and while I was trying to explain what I wanted he kept being an obnoxious prick and cutting me off saying that he already knew and understood what I wanted. I spent 2 years growing my hair to the length I wanted and went it for just a simple trim. This guy cut almost 4 inches off and made a complete mess of it. Even as I protested in the chair he kept hacking away telling me to trust him. After the damage was complete I was visibly angry and when I explained why he said that I should have done a better job of explaining what I wanted lol. Stay far away unless you wanna deal with trash with a jersey attitude. A pair of clippers and a mirror is a better option. read more

My experience with YELP has been very good. As a result of my haircut at Primo I will always check sources other than Yelp. Primo should absolutely not be rated at the top of Yelp. I got a hair cut today. I told Anthony that I did not want my hair cut with electric clippers and that I wanted him to do the cutting. His response was "No problem". When I go there at 2:00, our appointed time there were 2 adults and 2 children. waiting for haircuts. I met him outside on the phone and smoking. I told him I would run an errand and be right back. He said, "No Problem". When I got back he was once again outside smoking and talking on the phone. He then told me that one of the other barbers would cut my hair, I protested and Anthony said, "He cuts my hair". He then walked into the back room. While the barber did an OK job, he also demonstrated this "racing demeanor" as referenced in another review. I should have known better. They had loud music blaring. If you want your requests ignored. If you want a haircut as though you were sitting in a JukeBox. Primo is the place to go. However ...you will never see me there. read more

Primo's Barber is clean and classy. However, I've been going there for a few months now and I was disappointed in how I was treat. There were some rude comments that will not be said but the owner apologized and is making an effort to make things right. Asked for a simple trim, that cost $25, and now a week later, "wings" are already appearing. Anthony seems to think its a race - the fastest barber wins. I actually heard Anthony tell another barber to speed it up, that he could do a cut in 5 minutes. Instead of spending a few minutes to make sure it was right he got me in and out in about 5 minutes. I'm used to a bit better customer service. And the language! Don't bring your kids! read more

After having a bad experience at another hair salon a couple of weeks ago I needed someone to cleanup my bad haircut into something that I could work with. I was looking for a barbershop that did modern style haircuts and not just classic cuts. Anthony was very professional and friendly. I told him what I wanted (slicked back with an undercut) and he knew exactly what I wanted. He was able to fix my bad haircut into something that looked sharp. Do not, under any circumstances, take your young children here. My husband took our boys (4 & 5 yrs old) and the owner called the shop from watching on the cameras asking the barber to tell my kids to sit down. Completely unprofessional and beyond rude to say the least. We will never go back. We only went to Primos because His & Hers was closed and it was the day before school started. We will wait next time! We love His & Hers, they are great with our kids and always have a lollipop for them after their haircuts and the owners, barbers and atmosphere is welcoming and friendly!!
