History
Established in 1928.
The Archibald Hotel started life as the Kurrajong Heights Hotel in 1928 when the licence was transferred from the Black Horse Inn in Richmond. Originally situated on a 100 acre lot, this was the go to spot for the affluent Sydney social crowd in the 30's, 40's and 50's. Complete with rooms, tennis courts and all the luxuries of a prestige resort, the Kurrajong Heights Hotel was famous all over.
In 1974 the Hotel was destroyed by a huge fire, reportably able to be seen from Sydney.
The Hotel was rebuilt around 1976 as a bar and restaurant with 5 accommodation rooms and over the next few years the majority of the 100 acres was subdivided and sold off to create most of the Kurrajong Heights village.
Renamed the Archibald Hotel in 2015, we now have a perfectly located stop for locals and travelers alike.
With an incredible view of the Sydney Basin, patrons can relax with delicious restaurant quality food and a great selection of wines, tap beers, ciders and soft drinks. Family friendly!
