READ BEFORE GOING! This is a no go for my part, we got horrible service and it was expensive for what it was.
The general vibe:
It has that 'bar-y' feeling to it, it has some weird vibes and not sure if i liked it so much. One side of the restaurant was more alive and had music blasted right in your ears. Had a lot of people that wasn't all too happy to being seated over there because you couldn't have a normal conversation how it was so loud.
Service:
Service was so long what a disappointment. Had a lady come to our table for drinks and I had mine like in the middle of my dinner. I kindly reminded her a second time (before getting my main course) and she didn't really care. Another staff asked if everything was good and she gave me the drink.
Menu:
A descent size, it had some choices of food but they had a lot of beer and wine options. I wouldn't come here if you're starving but more for a light-medium apatite with a craving of beer or wine. But the thing that triggered me that it's so EXPENSIVE for what it is really worth.
Food:
For him:
So there was a special combo that I could have a Free* beer with my hamburger but I asked if i could get a coke with it instead ( if you do the math, a coke is way cheaper than a large beer, but at the end she billed me 3.80$ for a small coke with a lot of ice... yeah it's a hamburger + beer combo, but c'mon.. ) The meat of my burger was special, it had some special kick to it so that actually good. I had a side of fries but it was so small, it was like a kid size order of fries.
For her:
She asked for an Archibald poutine and honestly it was horrible. Where to begin.. the fries were cold, the meat that was in the poutine was so god dawm salty. It gave her an upset stomach and didn't it eat the meat. Instead of putting the typical brown-gravy sauce on it, they put like a weird salty bbq sauce on it.
Appetizer:
We ordered some chicken wings and they were not bad actually. For the price it was a scam but they were good. Very hot and didn't really care for their sauce, but the wings was the only thing that made us 'stay' and not jump right through the window to my car.
Service part II:
So communication wasn't really good through the waiters and staff, we weren't a lot on our side of the restaurant but I'm not going to fizz about that. The thing I really didn't care for is:
THE NASTY LOOKS WE GOT FROM THE WAITRESSES@!
So we weren't that happy with the general service and food but we were still polite and still said: "thank you, yes please, have a nice evening". We didn't tip all that much because of the service that we got.. but when our waitress got the check and saw the amount we gave her she went to b*tch about it to the others and we got these nasty looks from everyone.. it was really uncomfortable and not professional. It was about us.. they were straightly staring at us.
Like yeah we didn't tip all that much, but I would have loved for her just to come to us and ask if everything was okay and 'what happened' and not just giving this weird attitude. I would have told her what happened and surely give her extra $$ if she took a minute to understand.
A couple before us wen't out the door before us and the person at the front desk wished them a good evening. We politely wished her a good evening and she didn't care, like it's no big deal. Maybe she didn't hear me, but she gave me this weird eye contact.. so I knew that she understood what I said. Didn't make a huge scene and just went to my car.
This a DNR case! 1.8/10 read more
