They don't do traditional flights but u can do tastings. They have so many sours. I love their beer

this brewery is awesome. the selection of beer is overwelming, but tastes so good. i had to come back 2 times while in town to hit all of the sours i wanted.great service and loud atmosphere. its fairly small and will get packed, so keep that in mind. the food smells amazing, but i didnt get a chance to eat. i would come back in a heartbeat.

We came here on Saturday January 19th, a group of 4 who indulged in a variety of food and drinks. We made a reservation online the day prior and everything went flawlessly. The customer service through Facebook chat is also amazing as I asked some questions on FB messaging and they replied within minutes. we were seated on the main floor of this St-Denis location although there is an upper floor and basement I believe. Saint Houblon looks like a typical bar but the menu and offerings are that of a gastropub. A mix of stools, communal table, booths and regular chairs adorn the space, high celings and a warm wooden vibe give it a rustic feel. The menu and beer selection is quite impressive. I highly recommend getting the beer sampler, for around 10$ you can choose 4 different flavors. All food and drink options are available online as well. The beer selection is posted on tv screens across the restaurant however these can be hard to read therefore it's a good idea to pull out your phone and consult the menu beforehand. They had 24 different types and there are always some seasonal changes. Saint Houblon prides itself in delivering a farm to table concept, using their own fresh vegetables from their greenhouses when possible. The food is refined and different from your typical bar offerings. The nachos for example contained a delicious olive and mushroom tapenade with a light bechamel sauce, not your orange cheesy mess. The mac and cheese was adorned with your choice of vegetables or in my case tender shawarma beef strips and a cilantro mint sauce. The potatoes are seaoned with black garlic and tangy sauce, the fried chicken also has a choice of oriental flavors and soy based or schezuan sauce. Truly, everything I sampled was unique and delicious. Saint Houblon exceeded my expectations. They even offer an all-you-can-eat brunch for 35$ (or 25$ during winter months) that includes unlimited food and alcohol! This is unheard of. The quality of the food and pricing is more than fair, I would definitely come back. Only let down is the extremely cold dining area. The main entrance unfortunately lets in a lot of freezing air during the winter. The lighting is also incredibly dim.

Decent place to get out of the cold and get some beer. The raspberry hose was decent as was the german maibock. Our friend's Hefeweizen had a weird smoky element that was a bit off-putting and the other red ale we ordered was just so-so. The woman serving us drinks was very nice.

Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! Your standard pub food but better. The star of the meal was probably the SHwings nachos - the kind of nachos that are properly mixed with toppings / cheese incorporated throughout & not just poured on top! Our party arrived at 5:30pm so were seated immeadiately. It got super busy around 6:15pm on a Monday night. Service was amazing - 10/10!

You can't find a better lunch deal in Montreal...buy an entree, and your first beer is only $1! Inside is a slightly worn but nice rustic brewery setting, giving it a casual yet distinguished atmosphere. The Quebecois ladies will quickly and kindly switch to English once you open your touristy mouth. I think there were 30 something craft beers available on tap, most were reasonably priced at $4-6 in case you want that second beer. VISIT #1: $15 Mac N Cheese with beef brisket...its huge and delicious! The beef is marinated in some sort of secret sweet deliciousness, and cooked tenderly. Probably one of the best mac n cheese's ever! VISIT #2: $15 Poutine with beef brisket...generous portions of that same tasty beef on top of a generous portion of golden frites and cheesy cheese curds, topped with that lovely Canadian poutine gravy. The wife also had the lamb burger and a fried chicken sandwich, both were also savory and delectable. I almost had to knock down a star, the place was never more than a third full, but the food took over 30 minutes. Maybe its just made with extra Canadian care and love, but if you're in a hurry you might need to eat elsewhere.

Saint-Houblon is, without a doubt, one of the best bars in Montreal and my number 1 go-to place for a night with friends. I've been going to Saint-Houblon since my university days and took a long time to write a review because I want to give proper credit to this glorious institution. They have a amazing selection of beer, cocktails, and wine for all tastes and moods. The food is excellent from Brunch to Supper. While it is typical bar food, you will never leave this place hungry. The atmosphere is lively and cheerful and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. We once had to wait at the door for a table to free up and they brought us some beer samples to taste while we waited. However, the best thing about Saint-Houblon is their all-you-can-eat and drink brunch. You have options of traditional or vegan options that includes mini-pogo sticks, vegan eggs, breakfast oatmeal, French toasts, and bacon. You can mix and try the items before ordering more! Everyone who works there is so friendly and so welcoming. I never feel more at home than at Saint-Houblon!

I'd rate it 4 overall. Went for bottomless brunch with 2 friends. Seating outside was uncomfortable since only a few tables had shade, and some chairs were awkwardly low, so we sat inside instead. The food was average, with some good items and some poor ones. Go for the drinks and social aspect, less so for the food. Good: eggs benedict (delicious), rillettes, cretons, sausage, bacon (pretty standard), potatoes Not good: waffles (hard and chewy, burnt), scrambled eggs (overcooked and unseasoned), unremarkable pancakes, dry and overcooked chicken Good selection of beers. We enjoyed the mimosas as well (drinks included in price) Service was spotty, and it was hard to get a hold of a server sometimes. But overall they were very friendly and were even kind enough to let us stay for 3 hours! The place was fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon. Bathrooms are upstairs and decently clean. Altogether we spend about 40$ each after tax and tip.

    Brunt meet in the burger!

Very bad food. We used to go there often and we ordered during the first lockdown in April. The food was great. Just reordered and the food is horrible. The meet is beyond overcooked it's bitter, the fries are all cold, the buns look like buns from a dollar store. For the price you pay quality is similar to a McDonald's that would have cost me a quarter of the price. We will never go there anymore.

Great restaurant to stop by if you're in Berri/UQAM - St. Denis area. One thing I love about Montreal is that the restaurant is allowed to put a patio on the street and you get to enjoy the curbside dining. St. Houblon offers some great saisons and food. Beef Tartare and Lamb Burger were to die for. They gave you a lot of fries along with it. Will definitely come back again to try a few more beer. The waiter was very friendly despite the language barrier.

My friends and I came to Saint-Houblon purely based off of an instagram post The idea of bottomless brunch or buffet only works when it's efficient. The wait time between rounds is VERY {Veryyyyyy} long (like an hour). When the food finally came there was still more waiting, we had the food but no syrup or ketchup...had to flag down the waiter. The first round of food was disappointing, the waffles were burnt. The food is okay! Salad was fresh with pickled beets and carrots. Mushroom quiche was over baked but my friends think the Quiche Mexicaine was great; plus the bacon and the sausage was a hit for them. Chicken & waffles wasn't the best nor the worst... I liked the toast and bagels with cream cheese & scallions. Now the mimosas were great, also enjoyed some beer. Overall experience was "okay". All you can eat food quality, not worth buying individually from the brunch menu.

Let's start with beer .... my guess is the list changes so providing the number won't mean much, but what I had was #13 which was a NW IPA - or something along those lines... all I remember is that it was magical! It was so good I had 4 husband went with sampler and really enjoyed all the beers. Food ( the reason why I'm knocking off one star) well first of all came out after a LONG time which happens, especially on a sat afternoon, but the tortillas in my tacos were super cold and hard as rocks which means it's probably been sitting to be delivered to the table for a while. Service was good. Bartender was very helpful when describing the beers, and the waitresses were very accommodating, although disappearing from time to time - probably due to the place being busy.

Nice spot for a weekend brunch. They have an all you can eat and drink option, which is great if you're brunching with a few friends

Spicy fried chicken with carrot slaw and corn on the cob. Big portion and surprisingly good.

I actually came to a private event in the upstairs room here, which in of itself was great, but this was my first time as a regular walk-in customer. I always was curious about this place with its huge (and apparently popular) terrace and interesting exterior. After some confusion about how we were to be seated, we finally found a host and were seated inside (there was a terrace seat but it was a little too warm outside for our taste). After waiting awhile for our server to greet us (this was a theme of the night) we ordered a couple alcoholic beverages, the fried chicken plate and the burger. The beverages and chicken arrived in reasonable time. The burger? Waited. And waited. And... "excuse me, is that burger coming?" Long story short, the order never went in to the kitchen, so it never got started, so we just cancelled the order. Which on one hand was perfectly fine because the portion for the chicken order was HUGE, but on the other hand, cmon homie if you can't remember the order maybe you should write it down (what's with servers here thinking they can memorize orders?). And maybe a good gesture might've been a free drink or appetizer, just saying. But I digress. The chicken was surprisingly fantastic. Other than that, the place has a cool, albeit busy vibe, plays good music, and I'm sure that terrace is great when the wether is right. Hopefully one day I'll be able to try that burger. Or the ribs. Menu had promise. Probably wouldn't want to come here during peak hours; not particularly interested in the drunk college student scene. So 4 for the chicken and the beer options (they have gluten-free beer!), 2 for the painfully slow and inattentive service, so a solid 3 overall. And yes, we'll be back.

I wasn't there to do a long session, so I got a couple tasters, one including Peche Mortal and the other a NEIPA. Two very different styles and both extremely well done. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe. The server was also attentive and friendly, but also knew when to let people sit back and enjoy their drinks. You probably don't need me to tell you, but yes, you should go.

Brasserie Dieu du Ciel was one of them, and it just so happened we were in its vicinity after our Mile End food tour concluded. That being said, we made our way over. While I am not a beer person myself, I'll have a round or two if I'm with a group, and can appreciate a good brewery. My first impression of Dieu du Ciel was just that - the vibes were on walking in. The space is pretty large - kinda separated into semi- compartmentalized spaces with tables throughout. There's not much decor, but medium-toned woods throughout which gave it a sort of upscale feel. They offer a food menu, but we were just here for drinks. They have a really wide selection of beer - again, I'm no connoisseur, but I could tell that the selection was way more than other breweries I've been to. I ended up getting a cider for the first round and a stout for my second round - both very good. Service was great, and overall we enjoyed our time at Dieu du Ciel. Their selection and comfortable setting made it a standout brewery for me out of the ones I've visited in Montreal - I wouldn't hesitate to return.
