We visited Pigeon a couple of days ago for coffee on a very cold and windy day. Unfortunately, because there was a windchill of -20, every time the door opened, we were freezing but that's not their fault. We had one mocha, one latte, one flat white and one coffee. All drinks were very good except that the coffee was lukewarm. I had said I only wanted a coffee if it was piping hot and we told it would be. Other than that, it was a fun experience as they offer games to play at the tables. It was clean and the barista was nice. read more

World's worst coffee is the funniest slogan I've seen for a coffee shop, and to pair it with a name and logo like the common pigeon is just peak creativity. Just so everyone's aware, the coffee is great, the baristas are nice, the location is superb, and it all around is exactly the opposite of its tagline haha. Popped by here to enjoy a maple latte (because when in Canada, you have to have maple!) before visiting the art museum. It was delicious. The shop looks deceptively small but is actually quite spacious inside. read more

I've both ordered delivery and visited the café. The Breakfast Sandwich was fresh and tasty, though a bit small for the price. The Spicy Chicken Wrap, on the other hand, was disappointing--very small portion, barely filled, and not like the photo. It lacked flavor and ingredients felt minimal. That said, the café itself has a great atmosphere. I've had the Avocado Egg Benedict in person, and it was amazing--highly recommend it. Overall, love the place, but delivery portions could be more generous and consistent. read more

The lavender latte was really yummy. It was chilly outside and the hot coffee was hot and sweet, would definitely recommend. My mom got the Cortado and it was also very good if you don't like sweet coffee. The girl was also nice. Would go back. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered Americano, Bagel with Lox/Salmon. Staff were young and friendly. The interior was very cute. Great mural on the back of the bar, lots of greenery, and plenty of seating. We sat a the bar which is always entertaining to chat with the staff. They gave us some ideas of places to visit while in Montreal. Outside seating was our initial desired location, but that was full so we sat at the bar. Would definitely go back again. read more

It is an adorable setting and service was fantastic. I got the New York steak and it was delicious. Came with asparagus and potato's. Was yummy. I ordered an espresso martini and it was topped with cinnamon. It was probably one of the best I've had. Bartender was amazing and drink was stiff enough and not watered down. I tried to go back the next night but it was closed. I will be back next time I am in town. Great job staff. read more

With a reservation, the readily accommodated our group of 16. The service was attentive and polite and whoever selected the music playing in the restaurant...thank you. It was eclectic and fun. Unfortunately, our food came out at very uneven times. My fingerling potatoes seemed bland and I seasoned, although my steak sandwich was quite good. Had we been able to stay longer, the dessert selection looked quite good. read more

To say I am obsessed with this place would be an understatement. I'd probably sell a piece of my soul to have pigeon in my home city The shop is small but to make up for it, there is seating outside. Service is spot on as everyone is super nice, super friendly and generally a nice place to be at. Lots of dessert to choose from and a wide variety of coffee favourites. Me, their lattes hit the spot twice a day for 6 days. read more

Such a cute cafe, attached to a really cool pizza shop! We were hopping around different places and popped in to try something. We let the barista pick an item for us and we were so pleased with the absolutely delicious caramel macchiato that they made! Both the cafe and the pizza shop are operated by the same owner, and we were able to chat with him and learn a lot about Montreal and Canada while we were visiting. The staff here was so friendly, it really felt like we were at home hanging out with friends and drinking coffee. Definitely recommend popping in and getting some coffee from them! read more

Great coffee, and I was glad they had a location in this area. The cashier was a sweetheart and was patient with me while I assessed different sizes of shirts. I emptied out all of my coins into her tip jar. I love Pigeon coffee, and I'm glad to see pigeons get some appreciation! Cute art and logos, love the shirts/merch, great service, and the espresso is very nice. I will definitely be returning here for a good bold latte. read more

Definitely one of the best lattes I have had. Whoever served me and made it was just amazing: extremely friendly. I love the theme: pigeons on the Connect Four tokens at the long window table (love that there's Connect Four), lots of plants, pigeon drawings, quotes, and just an overall really warm and welcoming aesthetic and aura. The place is quite small with only a few stools to sit inside, and a few benches outdoors. There is free wifi!! read more

I love Pigeon! This coffee shop is so incredibly cute! They have plants hanging from the ceiling, exposed brick for walls, a gorgeous counter layout, and seating looking out onto the busy road. They have an amazing staff; they're always so chatty, kind, and willing to help me out when I want to explore their drink menu. Finally, they sell one of the best cookies I have ever tasted: the s'mores cookie!! Obviously, the shop is really small so it isn't a place to lounge around or study, but that's not the point of this location. It's perfect for caffeinated drinks on the go (and a cookie), so go for just that and you won't be disappointed! read more

Pigeon Espresso Bar is the newest addition to a small group of new businesses at the corner of Maisonneuve and Bishop - right next to the brand new Brit&Chips. It advertises itself as the "World's Worst Coffee", something that made people quite curious. Today, my friends and I set to verify that claim. Well, it's unsurprisingly untrue. The place is smaller than expected, and doesn't have any seats. The interior is simple and modern, with exposed brick walls and tons of beautiful greens dangling overhead. A large, shiny espresso machine seats in the middle of the counter, next to coffee grinders and a display of delicious-looking pastries. They carry their own beans, in addition to Brooklyn's Stumptown (a very nice brand). It's not cheap (2.50-5$). We ordered a latte, an americano and a cappuccino (Pigeon brand). Service was fast and professional. The coffee was overall good, but flavours were rather weak. Pigeon Espresso Bar is hands-down the most handsome coffee shop in the neighbourhood right now, but its coffee still has some tough competitors. Note: Cutest logo ever. read more

Stellar cappuccino (got decaf this time), nice environment. Nice people inside!! Awesome

Their vanilla iced latte was amazing. It was very smooth and along with a buttery croissant it made a great stop for my busy day.

Best breakfast sandwich I had during my weekend in MTL, loved the coffee as well! Very small cafe but great food & drink

Hands down one of the best lattes I have had. Sarah was super sweet and friendly. Very nicely decorated with plants and has a really nice feel. Since The place is very small with a few stools to sit indoors and benches outdoor. So it is ideal for pick up in the winter. I am a huge latte lover, will definitely be back. read more

Had a flat white, which was smooth and good. Baked items were pallid and flat so did not try. It's a nice place to sit though.

Beautiful space. Coffee arrived in a dirty cup with no spoon. Granola with yogurt and fruit was good as was croissant. Feel like I'm paying for the decor. No return visits. read more

This is 4th stop with barista passport! What a cute spot! I love the name of the place, Pigeon espresso bar; very unusual and unique. It is a super small place. 3 or 4 bar stools indoor and two tables plus two small benches outdoors. Our barista was very sweet, enthusiastic and charming. I loved her spirit. I enjoyed thoroughly the decor inside the coffeeshop. Perfect lighting with plants. It had the young and hipster vibe. I ordered my usual cappuccino and my little sister got a gingerbread cookie. Both were delicious. If you are in downtown, near Concordia University, pass by... read more

We stayed nearby at an airbnb all weekend and I think stopped in to Pigeon 4 or 5 different times - we just kept going back! Our lattes were always made quickly and with perfection, the smoothies were refreshing and tasty (I tried the Green and the Yellow), the blueberry scones were fresh and the banana bread was on point. We played connect four while waiting but it was never a long wait. The aesthetic is super cute and the dozens of hanging pothos are such a nice touch - I felt like I was in a bright, fun greenhouse! Service was always friendly and quick. My fiancée made a huge mess trying to put his cover on his smoothie - seriously, green juice everywhere - and they were super cool about it! I wouldn't have been . It is a small space which you can't really do much about but my only feedback would be that it might be a better set up to order and pay where you first walk in, vs at the other end because it got a bit crowded by the door with people waiting for their orders and then having to move past them to order and pay. That might not be possible though. Either way, 5 stars and we'll be back on our next trip! read more

This place is so cute and the drinks are great! The person at the counter was really nice too.

From what I'm told is that the coffee beans are from Brazil and they are roasted here in Montreal. Pigeon is a Montreal Brand so I support this. I was attracted by the small advertise signboard "World's Worst Coffee" when I walked on the street. I was being curious for a while that how worst this coffee would be. After walking by several times, I finally got a chance to go inside. It's small inside as people can see from the outside. But I like the simple and modern style interior. Also, it's very clean inside. There are only several chairs in front of a black bar counter against the floor-to-ceiling window. I ordered a latte with bean of Pigeon brand. It tasted really good! It was also very nice to sit in front of the widow, holding a warm coffee, staring at the street and feeling the time passing by slowly. In one word, it's a lovely store with tasty coffee. I'll go back again one day and I would like to taste its pastries for the next time read more

Very tasty coffee, very small space. This place is perfect for a grab and go coffee. They have pastries and their lattes are very smooth. They have about 3 bar seats, however the place is pretty small so I wouldn't suggest a meeting here. They have stumptown coffee which we enjoyed- being from Brooklyn it was cool to see. The staff is super friendly and they have quick bites as well. If you are in the area and looking for a good cup of coffee or a latte you can't beat this place. Price point is pretty similar to the rest. read more

It's not the worst coffee in the world, though there is a sign in Pigeon that says that. I had a cappuccino. It was not good. I don't know if the milk they used was too hot. Or the beans were not the greatest. I do know that even the first aroma that I tasted was off. It was bitter. It was burnt. Service was so-so. Krema and Difference were both excellent. Highly recommend. Myriade was OK, but was not consistent. read more

The first thought I had when walking into this cafe was "wow this place is as tiny as me". Then I looked up and noticed all the plants and vines hanging down from the ceiling. It was a feast for the eyes. The cafe advertises "the world's worst coffee" but it was pretty darn good. While there isn't much space to sit inside, there are a few benches and tables outside to sit and enjoy your coffee with a book. The service was good and the barista was very friendly and helpful.
