Just so everyone's aware, the coffee is great, the baristas are nice, the location is superb, and it all around is exactly the opposite of its tagline haha. Popped by here to enjoy a maple latte (because when in Canada, you have to have maple!) before visiting the art museum. It was delicious. We visited Pigeon a couple of days ago for coffee on a very cold and windy day. Unfortunately, because there was a windchill of -20, every time the door opened, we were freezing but that's not their fault. We had one mocha, one latte, one flat white and one coffee. All drinks were very good except that the coffee was lukewarm. I had said I only wanted a coffee if it was piping hot and we told it would be. Other than that, it was a fun experience as they offer games to play at the tables. It was clean and the barista was nice. read more

I've both ordered delivery and visited the café. The Breakfast Sandwich was fresh and tasty, though a bit small for the price. The Spicy Chicken Wrap, on the other hand, was disappointing--very small portion, barely filled, and not like the photo. It lacked flavor and ingredients felt minimal. That said, the café itself has a great atmosphere. I've had the Avocado Egg Benedict in person, and it was amazing--highly recommend it. Stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered Americano, Bagel with Lox/Salmon. Staff were young and friendly. The interior was very cute. Great mural on the back of the bar, lots of greenery, and plenty of seating. We sat a the bar which is always entertaining to chat with the staff. It is an adorable setting and service was fantastic. I got the New York steak and it was delicious. Came with asparagus and potato's. Was yummy. I ordered an espresso martini and it was topped with cinnamon. It was probably one of the best I've had. Bartender was amazing and drink was stiff enough and not watered down. Such a cute cafe, attached to a really cool pizza shop! We were hopping around different places and popped in to try something. We let the barista pick an item for us and we were so pleased with the absolutely delicious caramel macchiato that they made! Both the cafe and the pizza shop are operated by the same owner, and we were able to chat with him and learn a lot about Montreal and Canada while we were visiting. The staff here was so friendly, it really felt like we were at home hanging out with friends and drinking coffee. Definitely recommend popping in and getting some coffee from them! read more

I love the theme: pigeons on the Connect Four tokens at the long window table (love that there's Connect Four), lots of plants, pigeon drawings, quotes, and just an overall really warm and welcoming aesthetic and aura. I love Pigeon! This coffee shop is so incredibly cute! They have plants hanging from the ceiling, exposed brick for walls, a gorgeous counter layout, and seating looking out onto the busy road. They have an amazing staff; they're always so chatty, kind, and willing to help me out when I want to explore their drink menu. Finally, they sell one of the best cookies I have ever tasted: the s'mores cookie!! Obviously, the shop is really small so it isn't a place to lounge around or study, but that's not the point of this location. Pigeon Espresso Bar is the newest addition to a small group of new businesses at the corner of Maisonneuve and Bishop - right next to the brand new Brit&Chips. It advertises itself as the "World's Worst Coffee", something that made people quite curious. Today, my friends and I set to verify that claim. Well, it's unsurprisingly untrue. The place is smaller than expected, and doesn't have any seats. The interior is simple and modern, with exposed brick walls and tons of beautiful greens dangling overhead. A large, shiny espresso machine seats in the middle of the counter, next to coffee grinders and a display of delicious-looking pastries. They carry their own beans, in addition to Brooklyn's Stumptown (a very nice brand). It's not cheap (2.50-5$). We ordered a latte, an americano and a cappuccino (Pigeon brand). Service was fast and professional. The coffee was overall good, but flavours were rather weak. Pigeon Espresso Bar is hands-down the most handsome coffee shop in the neighbourhood right now, but its coffee still has some tough competitors. Note: Cutest logo ever. read more

We stayed nearby at an airbnb all weekend and I think stopped in to Pigeon 4 or 5 different times - we just kept going back! Our lattes were always made quickly and with perfection, the smoothies were refreshing and tasty (I tried the Green and the Yellow), the blueberry scones were fresh and the banana bread was on point. We played connect four while waiting but it was never a long wait. The aesthetic is super cute and the dozens of hanging pothos are such a nice touch - I felt like I was in a bright, fun greenhouse! Service was always friendly and quick. My fiancée made a huge mess trying to put his cover on his smoothie - seriously, green juice everywhere - and they were super cool about it! I wouldn't have been . It is a small space which you can't really do much about but my only feedback would be that it might be a better set up to order and pay where you first walk in, vs at the other end because it got a bit crowded by the door with people waiting for their orders and then having to move past them to order and pay. I was attracted by the small advertise signboard "World's Worst Coffee" when I walked on the street. I was being curious for a while that how worst this coffee would be. After walking by several times, I finally got a chance to go inside. It's small inside as people can see from the outside. But I like the simple and modern style interior. Also, it's very clean inside. There are only several chairs in front of a black bar counter against the floor-to-ceiling window. I ordered a latte with bean of Pigeon brand. It tasted really good!
