Hang on, this is not a review of the product I bought. So in frustration I searched Yelp for fishing gear and they showed up, but said they were closed on a Saturday. How is this possible so I called and a really nice and helpful guy answered. He explained it wasn't a Retail store, but a distribution center and a place you could pickup an online order. I asked if they had anything I was looking for and he said he would check. He came back on the phone and described what I was asking for. Said I could order it online and pickup there. He was the only one there, but said if I ordered then, he'd keep an eye out and pull it quickly for me. Sure enough, I went to the site and found it quickly based on his description. I ordered it and 20 minutes later I got an email it was ready to pickup. What great service, this guy could have just brushed me off and said check the website without looking for me and then ensuring he pulled it quickly.

There were three employees in the building on a Saturday ( 3 persons when we walked in, then down to one other, then no one but us). We knew this because we became the only patrons in the shop. We spoke loud enough for them to her us, we asked to hit a few balls, we asked questions about what was available - we gave them so many opportunities to ignite and build a sale but instead, we walked in and found the front counter employee on their phone, then they were fixed on some game on tv. Even after we tried a club out they didn't even try to engage us. We left and went to Galaxy Golf with the perception of it being corporate. HUGELY mistaken. Lance gave us some time on the floor. Gently approached. Answered our questions and then got us on the range to test out our potential clubs. Lance gave me some education tips. Gave me space to think and I bought the full set and met the trainer for lessons. lance also recommended Stone Creek in Oregon City, OR to practice and take my dad. Literal high five to Golf Galaxy. You have my money and my loyalty. Really sorry ParWest Golf. We hoped it would work out.

With Airsoft becoming increasingly popular and e-commerce sites offering everything g under the sun, this place offers an excellent alternative to those options as well as supporting local small business. Unfortunately for me but good for them, I foresee myself spending far too much of my paychecks here in the future! On a side note, this is also a great place to safely help anyone interested in safe and proper firearms use. My family's been out here for more than a decade and I've been out here permanently for a bit of a…read morewhile now. Just based on the dearth of activities for kids of a certain age out here, I know airsoft was going to come into the equation. I used to take the family's terrible 1983 Ford F-250 to the auto repair shop around the corner (now gone), and always wondered how this place was. Answer: A very mixed bag. First off, I want to thank the staff up front who was great with helping me out on this first trip. I'd done a lot of paintball back east, but hadn't had much experience with airsoft. They made sure I was all taken care of and wasn't going to be in a position where I got hurt or hurt someone else. If this was just a shop? Five stars. But the playing field itself? Absolute clown show. You run into the same issues in paintball: Either the worst players from CoD in meatbag form or guys who just want to show off for people they think are military. If you have good refs, you can negate their impact and most of you will have a good time. If your ref is one guy who's, I don't know, asleep half the time or down the block playing pinball, it's going to be miserable for everyone but the biggest assholes. First off, the mounted lights: You know you get to shine that shit in people faces exactly once before they figure it out and do something you don't like, right? Second, the squatters: Oh, you're just going to sit there and pick off people as they come out of exits? Fine... you get that once, too. Finally, the level of carny-bred bumpkin who doesn't know that bending the rules is going to be met with more bending of the rules and cheaters are suddenly going to run crying to a referee who, as mentioned before, either doesn't care or doesn't exist. Other than the schadenfreude that came during that last game, I didn't enjoy much of the time in the arena. This place treats it like an ATM and an afterthought, and I'd be really surprised if there aren't hands thrown here on weekends. I genuinely worry that this part of Washington County is starting to frown on things like this, so I don't want to be too harsh to the business. But when I see how packed the arcade/"museum" lot is compared to this place... and read the experiences of others... I get the feeling it just might end up downsizing to a shop after all.
