We had a great time learning archery. The staff gave great instruction and watched us closely so we didn't hurt ourselves. They have equipment for you to use or you can bring your own. Let the Hunger Games being! Have you ever wanted to shoot someone with a bow and arrow? Well now you can with Archery Hawaii. One of my friends had them come out for her birthday and we play for about 3 hours at Sand Island. At first, I was like come on really... How fun could this be? But I gotta tell you, it was a lot of fun. And a lot tiring as well lol. I mean you're running around trying to hit people and not get hit at the same time. I hate to admit it but I was one of the few that got hit in the face lol... So pretty much she called them and made an appointment. They come and set everything up. I mean everything. All the props, masks, bows and arrows. There was two of them and they showed us how to play and officiated all the games. They were really nice. Pricing is $400 but for 3 hours but we had about 20 people show up who wanted to play so it was only $20 per person. Only 12 can play at a time which is 6x6. I feel 6 on 6 is good, you don't want more than that. The field can get pretty small with more people. The concept is pretty much like dodge ball but with arrows. It is really a fun thing to do with friends! The people who owns the equipments are very friendly and nice. They know how you are suppose to hold the bows and how you should try shoot the arrows. :) You don't need to be an expert of archery. The people will teach you and then you are on your way to play the game! The only thing is that, if you are about 10 to 20 feet (3 to 6 meters) away from someone who is about to shoot you, you'll definitely get a bruise the next day! Haha read more

We used Archery Hawaii for our Project Graduation event. They set up two activities and ran it both. The girls had a bit of a challenge adapting to the archery style but the boys picked it right up and the battle was on. One of the activities was a target practice. This worked well for those who were too afraid to get hit. This also served as a practice station for when they moved on to the battle activity. As a chaperone, I stayed close to the sidelines to get action photos and got hit. The tips are padded but they still do sting. I would rate this activity 4 1/2 stars! The inflatables and barriers are not that big and kept falling over, the set up size was not as big as it seems in the pictures, & it can only accommodate less than 30. Our group had an amazing time at Archery Tag. Originally thought that the activity may be a little young for individuals aged mid to upper 20s, but I was wrong. Anytime shooting each other is an option, it's sure to be a hit! (pun intended) Howard was a joy to work with as well. He was very punctual, personable, and I left feeling like our conversation alone was worth the amount paid for the event. The photographer, Titan, was also a great addition to our event. Just had my son's 12 year old bday party today with Archery Hawaii and we are soooo happy we booked them! All 10 boys and 4 dads (the big kids who rotated in/out of several games) really enjoyed themselves! From start to finish, we experienced great customer service. Howard, the owner, was awesome in communicating with me about booking and helping me find a site location. He came with 2 assistants and all were extremely helpful in explaining to the boys how to use the bow/arrow and play the games. They arrived early to set up so that we could get in every minute of playtime that we had booked. We even had a little 6-yr old who played on the side and the staff were very friendly with him too...going out of their way to help him on the side and even set up cones for him to shoot at while the others were playing the game. During the games, Howard even emphasized communication and teamwork, which I loved since I'm a teacher. The boys played 3 hrs of archery tag straight! Even when I asked if they wanted a small break to eat food/cake, everyone said no. They played games similar to dodgeball and medic, except of course, with bows and arrows. I must admit that a couple of parents were nervous when they heard the words, "archery tag," but soon realized that there was absolutely nothing to worry about. All the boys said it didn't hurt when they got hit and the longer they played, the more confident and competent they got! One of the best birthdays by far! We hosted family and friends for a special Vow Renewal Archery Tag event, and they all LOVED it! Howard made the arrangements, and Mike and his colleague made sure that the actual event was a success. Our only suggestion would be to provide Archery Arm Guards in addition to the Face Masks because many of the participants had bruises on their arms from the Strings on the Bow. Archery Hawaii is awesome! I came to visit my buddy in Honolulu and we decided to try this out with a group of friends. The price ($600 for 3 hours) is well worth the enjoyment and if you break it up among players its not bad at all! We called and Howard responded within 15 minutes! He was very polite and professional. They came and set up everything and in no time we were shooting each other! Archery tag was a lot of fun! Whether you win or lose (well, my team won all three of our games ;D), it is still a lot of fun. It is a great way to have fun and bond with your friends! Even if you don't know how to use a bow and shoot arrows, the staff members will teach you how. Everyone was really friendly and helpful as well! This is such a unique idea and concept that can be enjoyed for all ages. I knew the boss man when he was kicking this off and I am so happy to see it grow and continue to grow to what it is and what it will become. Archery Hawaii has a helpful staff that explains things well and has interesting rules and ideas that most people would not think about. Also, gear is VERY CLEAN which is a bonus since this a physical activity. I am a graduate of Maryknoll (class of 2016) and last years class (class of 2017) has Archery Hawaii come and help out at their project grad and I heard nothing but good things about it. This past winter break while I was home, we were invited back for an Alumni event and got to experience Archery Hawaii first hand and it lives up to the expectations. HIGHLY recommend for all types of events from children's birthdays to alumni events, to even retirement parties. You're never too old to play :) read more
