I came in for a routine cleaning and was told I needed a deep cleaning with laser treatment, costing nearly $1,000 for the left and right sides. I chose to hold off and get a second opinion. The staff member reviewing the estimate mentioned they might not be able to provide a standard cleaning if a deep cleaning was recommended, which seems to align with concerns mentioned in other reviews. They ultimately did proceed with a cleaning, but it was one of the most rushed and ineffective experiences I've ever had. The entire cleaning lasted under 15 minutes. When I brought up how rushed it felt and my concerns about not being thorough, I was told it was a standard prophylactic cleaning but I get cleanings every six months, and I know what a proper one feels like. This was not it. To make matters worse, I felt like I was being rushed out of the chair the moment it ended. I won't be returning and would strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before committing to any expensive treatment plan here. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I went here. They didn't honor their new patient special. Gave me a quote of $1800 for X-rays, cleaning and one cavity, I paid the $450 the insurance didn't cover. They bill they submitted to the insurance company was double what I was quoted and of course not paid, so now I owe more than what they told me ALL the work cost, not just the uncovered portion u already paid for. I'm not talking about hundreds of dollars, either. Over $3000 I owe in total. read more

Couldnt do 0 stars! I went in for a cleaning and x-rays, which was part of my insurance. They made me sit in that chair for an hour and half trying to tell me I needed 1600.00 worth of periodontal work! Also said I needed a crown on a tooth telling me it had a big crack. All I want was a cleaning and when they came in to clean me, the gal was sweet, but you could tell she was very upset because I didn't do the perio cleaning and she gave me a very bad cleaning! I went to a second dentist to have everything looked over because I was so upset and all he did was give me a cleaning and tell me my teeth were great! read more

Everytime I interact with staff I get a completely different story. All paperwork seems to get lost. Staff seem to make up things until anyone calling gets off the phone. I had pain longer then expected after treatment and made requests to check with the dentist to see if I needed to come back (my understanding is all of these calls got lost). After wasting breaks and lunchs to keep calling and calling - along with visiting the facility I was able to get them to send my records to another dentist. The other dentist felt all notes provided were incorrect - notes seem to be for different teeth than were worked on and indicate time frames and work performed that do not make sense (possibly another patients records got attached to my name) read more

Unorganized, lots of upselling and after I was moved to a back room and rushed through a partial cleaning, they actually forgot about me while I waited for the rest of the cleaning. Would not recommend. Normally it's the staff that ruins a medical office but it's the dentist here too. They have serious billing issues, not understanding how to verify benefits and the dentist comes off incompetent. Went in for a cleaning and tooth pain, cleaning was awful and he didn't identify an issue with the tooth, gave me a temporary gel. I went for a second opinion, it was a root canal. Had pain for weeks because this dentist couldn't identify what was clearly the issue, new dentist immediately identified and confirmed it with proper imaging. I'm pretty sure the reason nothing was done properly was because the office manager was not able to verify benefits prior to my appointment and was not able to verify benefits during my appointment. read more

Echoing the many reviews mentioning billing issues. I had to switch dentists because my insurance changed, unfortunately. I chose this practice. I went in for a normal cleaning and was told I needed a bunch of additional things. I have always gone to the dentist on time every 6 months and no previous dentist has ever mentioned needing anything they suggested. I reluctantly agreed to a couple of their suggestions in the event every dentist I've seen prior was wrong. Well, $200 later I'm still in a billing dispute with them. They charged me for things my insurance covered, my insurance has told them it's covered and I am due a refund, I have told them the same and sent over my EOB. Still nothing. While everyone is nice, this place has VERY shady billing practices and being nice doesn't excuse that. read more

I was informed that I had to pay for a deep cleaning, and some laser treatment after I declined to pay. I went to another dental office and was told that everything they told me was a tactic to get me to pay for a deep cleaning and that my teeth were fine and didn't need all the extra services. I let them know I was dissatisfied and why and their response was " I guess you will never know the truth" This office is a joke and just trying to get money out of insurance companies and their clients. I echo all the other comments about billing and up charging for services you don't need. Office Manager is rude and only has excuses instead of resolving the issue. You know there is a problem when the EOB you receive back from your insurance company doesn't match what they charged you. There are many dentists out there that have 5-star ratings, avoid this office at all costs. If you must use them, don't pay upfront for anything. You will never get a refund. read more

Clean facility and friendly staff but you will get completely ripped off for dental work. I went in to get a cleaning and knew I had some poorly done filings from a previous dentist. I was not surprised when they recommended I get them re done. I asked to get a quote to have the filings redone by them. They quoted me $7,000 worth of work, which with insurance would have been about $1200 out of pocket....For a handful fillings to be redone........ I consulted a family friend who is a dentist in another state, and they said that sounded ridiculous for 6 fillings to be redone. I then went to another dentist in town who agreed the same filings needed to be redone, but with much less urgency. Arcadia modern dentistry approached everything with a huge sense of urgency. As if your teeth are going to rot out if you don't do this ASAP. The other dentist quoted me $700 of work, a little over $100 out of pocket. Same insurance. Same number of fillings redone. Arcadia modern dentistry is clearly ripping people off. I'm writing this review as to inform people. Healthcare and dental care is expensive, and I don't think you should spend more than what's necessary. This place is charging 10x the amount of avg dental work. Find another dentist read more

My review is actually pertaining to their billing practices. Everybody I dealt with at this practice was very nice and friendly and even though I did not receive any work done by them, I could tell that they are a very conscientious practice. I had gone in for my annual cleaning, and was told that I actually needed a little bit more work done than that. I was given a quote and asked to give a deposit for a future appointment. Ultimately, I decided to cancel my appointment. When I called, I spoke to a very nice woman who canceled my appointment and said she would message the billing department about a refund. I asked if there was a cancellation fee and was told no. I spoke to a member of the billing department today and was told that I would not be issued a refund because I canceled my appointment through their call-center and not the actual office. It's the same phone number. I was told that the calls are forwarded if they're not answered at the office. I asked why I was not told this and why I wasn't routed back to the office to cancel my appointment. The woman I spoke to in the billing department did not have an answer to that. So again, everybody that I've talked to has been very nice, but not fully informing patients when it comes to billing is not ok. read more

Since the minute I book my appointment Tsunamy was very helpful, and kind, she explained everything about the Smile Generation Dental Plan, because I told her that I don't have dental insurance. Thank you so much Tsunamy. On the other hand Dr Hamataj is a great Dentist she explain all my treatment in detail. I start my crown, Dr Hamataj have Angel hands!!! I highly recommend this dental office even if you don't have dental insurance like me. Office was super clean. I had an appointment for a teeth cleaning today. I was told that there is no copay and at most it would be $26 or fluoride. My gut tells me they are going to try and upsell me. I called them this morning telling them, I'll be pissed if they pull that bait and switch on me and waste my time. I'll update this review when I get back. I'm hoping they don't and give them 5 stars but have a feeling they are going to try that. I will walk out and they won't get a penny from me. I had my teeth cleaned and saw Dr. Diamond. I saw, new to the practice, Dr. Diamond for a cracked bridge. I was able to get a same day, emergency appt and the prep work for the new bridge was done same day. I decided to add some veneers to match the bridge as it's in the front teeth. I am very happy with the final result! We did have to re-order the veneers as they didn't sit quite right but it was corrected and now my teeth are beautiful. I highly recommend Dr. Diamond and shout out to the whole team for being awesome! read more

Arrived at 12 for a cleaning. Discovered a cavity, was told I could have it filled in 45 minutes. After injecting lidocaine, I was left sitting for over an hour, requiring more lidocaine to be injected by the time I was seen again. All said and done, a simple cleaning and filling took over three hours. Things happen, but this should not have happened. Please do better. read more

This is the best dental practice in Arizona. I have had regular cleanings which were done quickly and thoroughly. Then I started having issues with dental cosmetic work I had received 30 yrs ago ( in N.C.) my veneer ( front tooth crumbled. )Because of this dentist I was able to get a replacement in 24 hrs with minimum pain and cost. The tooth looks incredible no one knows it was replaced Another issue arose last week I found I had a 30 yr old root canal that was abscess. Next I know I have an appt with their great oral surgeon who corrected the issue (same week) On Monday I went back and dentist replaced the cap, completed all work on root canal with minimum pain,,incredible .it is a perfect fit and color. I would recommend this office 100% to anyone read more

I would NOT recommend this practice for several reasons. Three unnecessary services were offered that were not covered by my insurance. For instance 11 X-rays were taken and only three were covered. When I called my insurance, they told me the X-rays I had are usually only taken at orthodontic offices. I had a huge bill as a result. Another issue is their front office staff was always struggling with fielding incoming calls, managing the automated check in system, and just didn't seem up to speed on the whole process. I won't be going back! I went to another dentist where the check in/out process was a breeze, my cleaning went smoothly, and I was given a clean bill of oral health. Watch out for hidden fees!!! I made an appointment for an exam and a cleaning for both my self and my husband and we both had negative experiences. Our insurance covers two appointments a year so we weren't expecting to be charged anything. We both got the EXACT same diagnosis with the exact same upsell bill for the exact same amount. I'll start by saying the dentist I saw was actually really nice and the facility was clean and new unfortunately the rest of the experience felt like a slimy corporate upsell. Of course the exam started off with the obligatory dentist question "how long has it been since your last appointment." And since I have never ever had a single dental issue in my entire life I only go once a year. So i admitted that and of course got the standard lecture. I also confessed that i thought i had pregnancy related gingivitis which is super common and was told by my real doctor would go away on its own! After the exam I was told that not only did i have gingivitis it had progressed to gum disease. I asked if I could get the teeth cleaning that was covered by my insurance and was told NO! Not unless I also got the ~$500 worth of deep cleaning they recommend. ($2000 would be billed to insurance of which $500 was OOP) .As I sorted through the list of charges and asked one by one what they were, they explained $200 was for laser cleaning and admitted was not necessary. I told them I was only interested in the regular cleaning. They still said no that they could lose their dental license if they cleaned my teeth while I had gingivitis. I'm not sure if that's true or not but they had already broken my trust by sneaking in $200 of laser work, without explanation, so I'll be going somewhere else! read more

The whole team was friendly and professional. The dentist was very knowledgeable. I also didn't feel like they were trying to upsell me with a lot of things I didn't need. And they use modern technology as suggested from the name. They were very clear about charges versus what was covered by insurance. A great experience. I was impressed. read more

I liked this place, everyone was very friendly and professional. Initially, I rated them at four stars because I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance, and was called the the week of to reschedule. They couldn't fit me in any sooner than 2 weeks after that, so I ended up waiting 5 weeks for an appointment. Despite that, everything went smoothly during my actual visit, and Dr. Stulic was very knowledgeable and helpful. Now, a little over two weeks after my appointment, I am so happy with how my new crown and other work feels that I am changing my rating to 5 stars. I am actually excited to get more work done... so while I am slightly disturbed by that fact, I look forward to going back. read more

I'm very suspicious about this place. The first time I went there, the dentist was so heavy handed and did not go over a lot of things with me as far as my dental condition. I had to probe and ask questions. He also seem to be in such a hurry to get out of there. The 2nd time I went, I was shocked to see different people, different staff and different doctor. I was assured by the 2nd dentist, hygienist, and front desk receptionist that everyone will be there for my 6months cleaning and check-up. Today I arrived and found different staff. New dentist, new hygienist, etc. when I made a comment about me noticing different staff, the hygienist had the nerve to tell me 'well, why did you come back if you feel uncomfortable'.
