My current dentist is reaching his office for my past records and I felt I should share a few reasons why I left. Office staff and assistants: I was charged for tests I never had. I fought the charge. He worked on a back tooth and I repeatedly expressed I did not like the white color that is shown in his before and after photos. I received paper white (like the photos) instead of a shade that matched the rest of my teeth. Standing in tears, I expressed my dissatisfaction before I left. To have it fixed, I gave in and had a new procedure and paid for it. He filled a chip on my front tooth, also not matching the proper shade. A painful mouth guard not corrected, incorrect billing, miscommunication color matching. He himself might be a good doctor but too many negative experiences with his staff. I'll be honest - I was nervous at first when my old dentist sold his practice to the Biltmore Dental Center group! I had been with Dr. Cadwell for several years and trusted his expertise. I should have also trusted his ability to pick a new dental group for his existing patients; I've been extremely happy with the Biltmore Dental Center. Prices are reasonable, and I've never felt that I'm being upsold unnecessary treatments. Gina, my hygienist, has the sweetest THERAPY DOG IN TRAINING (yes you read that right!) so you can get some pets and licks before starting your cleaning. I've had some of the least painful cleanings since going to Biltmore Dental Center, which is probably facilitated by the gentle music and distracting island/animal videos on the ceiling. Dr. Koppikar is super friendly as well and has a nice, relaxed bedside manner. The dog by itself would keep me coming back, but the dental care is also excellent. ;) read more

Holy cow this place could not be worse. I came I for an extraction at 12:30, it is now 4pm and they still have not done anything except X-rays, and what can I do, I'm in an immense amount of pain so I can't leave and I get people get busy but really should it take more than 4 hours to begin a procedure, and if it is going to take that long maybe a little bit of a warning. I was offered a large procedure plan, even though I only wanted a routine cleaning. I felt like the dentist was trying to upsell me on services that I didn't need. I also found it strange that the dental hygienist tried to give me a gift as an incentive to give them a review on the spot. I felt like this was a bit unprofessional. The billing department was a major problem for me. I received a bill in the mail showing that I owed a balance, even though I had already paid my copay and my insurance had processed the claim. I called the office and the manager emailed me back and resolved the issue. However, I got the same bill again after 6 months. When I called the office, the receptionist said that she didn't know the office manager. I eventually went to the office and the billing department fixed the patient ledger on their end and said I don't owe them anything. read more

Creepy and weird that whoever owns this dental practice suddenly got rid of, literally, my dentist, who was also my wife's dentist and my daughter's dentist. I got a very corporate-sounding email today informing me that Dr. Koppikar was mysteriously no longer the dentist at this location. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I moved to Arizona a few months ago and I wanted a dental office that was highly rated. Gina has been an amazing RDH for me. Not only is she compassionate, she is also straight-forward and educational which is key to essential home care after the office visit. Her therapy dog is so sweet and such a sweet addition to the office. The office plays soothing music and has great background video which really helps relax the patient - no matter what is going on. I have to update my review. I am of course a patient at this office too (as well as most of my family) and i have met Dr Coles who is so patient with me and an amazing dentist. Ive alway been so scared to go to the dentist and to be honest the gum numbing is a big part of it, the anxiety is real! Dr Coles took the time to speak with me and told me he would gentle and he sure was! What this man says is what goes. I have had 4 crowns done by him as well as a pretty bad wisdom tooth extraction. I have more work to be done and I am sure going back to Dr Coles. Now let me talk about these hygienists, Maria is a total angel shes so patient and caring! Then we have Omar, (YES i have seen both hygienists ), he has a shocking good memory i will say. He is so bright and cheerful he for sure takes out those smiles i been hiding. I have been in and out the dentist since high school ( a loooooong time ago) and this place is THE place for me. It's been like 4 years now and I still feel like family coming in!
