I went to Arcadia Dental Arts for the first time and was really impressed with how thorough my first appointment was. It was literally the most thorough dental exam I've ever had, with digital X-rays (including the panos that my last dentist didn't do), CT scans if needed, lots of photos, a tooth-by-tooth evaluation, oral cancer screening, even looking at mobility, jaw movement, etc. (Finally my knowledge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle comes in handy.) Dr. Pappas even pointed out something I'd brought up to a different dentist years ago and had completely forgotten about. He's also very transparent about whether a treatment can wait or needs to be done right away. The hygienist I had was also very thorough, so I definitely felt like I was in good hands all around. I switched here after a decade at a different dental clinic that had been cutting a lot of corners. As someone without specialized knowledge, navigating dental care can be frustrating and time-consuming. I find it so frustrating--as someone with no real knowledge of dentistry--when I feel like I to have to spend time attempting to research what dentists or other doctors should be doing so I can make sure they actually do it, or to figure out what to do about pain or issues they dismiss or tell me to ignore. We all have enough things to worry about without trying to become amateur dental or medical researchers. So it's a breath of fresh air to go somewhere like Arcadia Dental Arts where I can just kick back and relax knowing they're covering all the bases. Also the office is really nice, and it's right near Lola Coffee. And they have a super cute new patient gift bag, which was a nice touch! Glad to have found a new dental home. read more

I wanted to update my review to Arcadia Dental Arts.. this practice and staff continue to blow my mind with kindness, compassion and professionalism! There have so many times where they have got my husband in for emergency needs, and always take care of the issue. Dr Pappas is hands down the best dentist we have ever been to. He has continually cared for us as patients, and never has taken advantage, he cares for his patients through and through, and seems less concerned about his pocket book! It is my second time at Arcadia Dental Arts. They provide the type of care that makes them everyone's forever dentist. They make you feel like family, and immediately recognize you when you come in. They remembered everything after 6 months, including how to pronounce my name, my job, and even noticed that I got a hair cut. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They also have your best interest at heart! My permanent retainer broke a couple years ago and I had the option to replace it because I don't have a plastic retainer. The doctor told me that I didn't need to spend the money and time yet, and that we would watch it and act on it if anything moved. He didn't think it would. What a great experience regarding my dental appt. I had a crown replaced. The admin staff are really friendly and professional. Excellent communication regarding my cost for the procedures including navigating my insurance coverage . Dr. Pappas was extremely patient throughout the procedure. He explained everything to be expected and was exacting in all procedural work. Zero discomfort and the results exceeded my expectations. Dentist visits don't exactly top the list of activities I typically look forward to but I have to say this experience was as good as it gets - positive, informative, and dare I say enjoyable From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff greets you with warm smiles and puts you at ease. The office itself is bright and modern, with a calming atmosphere and music playing. Mel and Dr Pappas were both fantastic; their expertise and experience is evident. They took time to explain everything clearly and answered all my questions afterwards. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. They even remembered my wife from the week prior. Update: In response to the owner. I have had the same DeltaPPO plan for years. All routine cleanings & x-rays are 100% covered. Every other dentist I saw before & after your office adhered to that. I only go to in-network dentists, which you were. I also verified coverage directly with Delta. Stop passing the blame. Your office overcharged me when you were not supposed to charge me at all, just the insurance, which you also did charge them. It's unethical & untrue that anyone but your office was at fault. People should be aware of the way the business operates. Your business literally put a $74 collection on my credit for a routine cleaning and x-rays that my insurance fully covered. Never before or after has any dental office pulled something like this. Maybe you're not aware of what your employees are up to, but this is what happened no matter how much you try to shift blame. When you put your name on a business, what happens there is your responsibility. read more

After a disappointing first experience due to miscommunication regarding my insurance, I gave Arcadia Dental Arts another shot since my husband really likes Dr. Pappas and the hygienists. It can be difficult to find a high quality dentist and I ended up changing my dental insurance specifically to come here and be in network. I'm really glad I did because the office is very comfortable and chic and the staff is super friendly and professional. The best part for me was that there was no upselling of unnecessary treatments (e.g., fluoride or additional screenings) and I wasn't solicited to get cosmetic procedures like I have been at other dentists in Phoenix. I got exactly what I came for: x-rays and a thorough cleaning plus a check in with Dr. Pappas prior to my comprehensive visit in a couple of weeks. The office is in an ideal location in Arcadia Lite off 40th Street and Indian School Road. The sour orange hedges outside and windows with views of the surrounding neighborhood enhance the cozy vibe. This office has 5 star review for a reason. Front desk staff ,dental assistant and Dr Pappas are all amazing! They have high tech equipment, you walk in and walk out w high quality crown that's matched perfectly to your teeth and aligns perfectly to your bite without needing to readjust it constantly. This Dr did numbing injection so perfectly it didn't numb my entire face just the right amount where I felt zero pain but could still talk normally. Wow! Wow just doesn't say enough. I broke off a veneer right before a vacation. Not just any vacation, but a family gathering with plenty of photos for memory building will assuredly take place. Well, a panic phone call to the office with less than a minute to spare... and guess what; Dr Pappas personally got on the phone and told me not to panic and that he'd take care of me. ...and you know what, he DID!!! Just WOW! I have never experienced a dentist appointment SO thorough! I am actually looking forward to my next appointment! (weird to say for a dentist, right? lol) I learned things about my mouth no other dentist has ever told me! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming (Thank you Christina). They showed me around the office on my initial consultation, and i even left home with a goody bag! Dr. Pappas is awesome. He took the time to get to know me and I felt really comfortable speaking with them. I didnt feel afraid to ask questions, which i usually am, and a normal dentist will just tell me whats wrong with my mouth and tell me what needs to be fixed and schedule the next appt. Dr. Pappas explained everything to me in detail and WHY things happen that way, and the best recommendations.
