I've had one root canal with this practice and another eval. Both times the amount I was told I would be paying was extremely different than the amount I was actually charged. I like the endodontists, but overall poor experience due to lack of transparency and questionable billing practices. They told me my eval would be $125 and then once I was at the office found out it would be up to $250. The gum prod is all that is covered under the eval coat plus then additional charges for the cold check, and X-rays. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Axx and his team, they were extremely efficient and comforting. Dr Axx explained the entire process, as I had never had a root canal before and was a bit hesitant considering the horror stories you hear. But I experienced zero pain or discomfort and was surprised at what an easy process this was. I highly recommend Dr Axx and his staff. read more

This is a new and fantastic practice located North of Chelsea's kitchen! Dr Kevin did a great job on my root canal and it was mostly pain free. I would recommend him highly and would also use him again read more

Arcadia Endodontics - Beautiful new offices - Endodontists Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

If 10 stars were possible, I would give that to Dr. Kevin Axx and Arcadia Endodontics. An abscessed tooth led me to Dr. Axx for a root canal on Christmas Eve. The office is stylish, thoughtfully appointed and immaculate. The staff is incredibly kind and professional. Then Dr. Axx comes in and he is even more than you could want in someone going to be that familiar with your mouth. He is personable and caring; wants to be sure you understand everything that will happen. Once he got to work, honestly, I could have gone to sleep if I hadn't had to keep my mouth open. It was painless and peaceful, an absolutely perfect experience. The next day, Christmas, Dr. Axx called me from his family's home in Rochester, NY to check on me. By then, the pain meds had worn off and the pain was noticeable. We discussed all the possibilities and he called in a prescription to my pharmacy from Rochester!! And he made sure I had his cell phone so I could text him if I got worse. Who does that? I started improving and, of course, healed perfectly. I have a rare blood cancer so any type of surgery is risky. Dr. Axx uses a state of the art procedure called GentleWave; very important for a patient like me. In the future, I'm sure all endodontists will use GentleWave but, of course, Dr. Axx is ahead in his profession. Compliments also to Carol and CJ who also took such good care of me. Dr. Axx has assembled a Dream Team, a tribute to him, his leadership and his heart. If you must have a root canal, don't go anywhere else. This is the place. read more

Great place friendly and top of the notch service. Felt super comfortable and the assistants, front staff, as well as the doctors were all amazing, professional and caring. Highly recommended!! read more

The first thought of having to have an endodontic treatment it is fear, and I had that! - I was very nervous thinking would be painful?, like how painful? would I need tons of anesthesia? can I be sedated? how about if my blood pressure raised?, will it hurt afterwards? what if hurts in the middle of the night? etc, etc, etc..,. Well, a simple call to Dr. Axx at Arcadia Endodontics proved me that his professional team makes your process easy, all questions are answered from the first call, and that a good professional team always keep you informed of every single step (from insurance questions to treatment). Perhaps the highlight was that Dr. Axx proved me that a doctor that cares about you, always finds the time to take that extra-effort for his patients to feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you Arcadia Endodontics, ....Highly recommended. read more

Dr. Axx has been my primary endodontist since moving to Phoenix a year ago, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Although I don't have to go in for treatment often, every time I have been seen in the office it has been exceptionally easy for me, from billing to scheduling appointments. The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. You do not have to wait for more than about 10 minutes and they can usually get you in for an appointment within a couple business days. I highly recommend Arcadia Endodontics and Dr. Kevin Axx when choosing your next endodontist appointments. read more

Having never had a root canal and hearing only horror stories, in addition to dental phobia in general, I was scared to death. There is nothing to fear if you go to Arcadia Endodontics! Dr Axx and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, kind and patient. They took time to answer all of my questions and address all of my fears. The end result is that my procedure was very comfortable and virtually painless. Truly. If I could give Dr Axx and Arcadia Endodontics 6 stars, I would! Thank you all! read more

This was absolutely the best experience I could've hoped for when I was told I needed a root canal. The staff at Arcadia Endodontics were all very nice and very friendly. I experienced absolutely no pain during the procedure and was only very slightly sore afterwards. I cannot recommend Dr. Axx and the staff at Arcadia Endodontics more highly!! read more

Just Amazing! Met nearly all of the staff and can't recommend them enough!! I have high anxiety with any dental office and they made me feel relaxed and totally at ease. read more

I'm surprised this group does not pop up in your high end recommends. I googled them, picked them with over 60 reviews, all five stars. It is my personal belief you are not serving your clients well not to include them in your reviews. They do not "pop up" in inquiries, yet they receive 5 stars from all who rate them. Why is that????? I picked them because they popped up on google as "highly recommend". Where a previous "endodontist" had tried four times to fine my over calcified root unsuccessfully, Dr. Axx thoroughly evaluated me, and then did the procedure successfully. I will ALWAYS return to him for any needs I have in this area. Not sure of your criteria for rating, but you missed the boat on this one, my opinion read more

Dr. Axx and his team were great! Super friendly and did a great job explaining each step of the process, which made the procedure less daunting. I was a little sore yesterday, but today after just one day, I have no pain. I would highly recommend!! read more

What a wonderful experience for a root canal!!! Everyone is so very friendly and helpful! Dr. Axx was such a gentleman and explained everything in such detail. After the shot, I didn't feel anything for days! Not because of numbness, but because he did such a great job. Quick and thorough! Had the Gentle Wave done. So worth the little extra to make sure you don't have any future issues! Loved the staff, the nurses, and Dr. Axx. Will come back for any future Endodontics! Waiting room was clean, with a coffee bar and water. Nothing can be added! It was perfect! read more

I highly recommend Arcadia Endodontics. They make you feel extremely comfortable. And if you are like me and hate the dentist, you will be pleasantly surprised. The office is very clean and modern. The chairs massage you! I was also cold and they gave me a really nice warm blanket. Dr. Axx was awesome and even called me personally the next day to check up on me. Great job to everyone at this office! read more

I really appreciate how the Endodontists at this practice have gone out of their way to offer the new root canal procedure, the Gentle Wave. My ND recommended them due to my history of autoimmune disease and chronic pain because of her experience clinically with some root canal teeth becoming a trigger for autoimmune flares in certain cases. The Gentle Wave is an advancement in cleaning the root canal tooth which lowers the risk for that tooth becoming a source of infection. I'm so thankful this new procedure was available. I'm relieved to have had this option to lessen my chances of creating a possible trigger for my now in remission autoimmune disease to flare back up simply by getting a root canal. Dr. Chatanoff was a pleasure to work with as was the entire staff. Thanks again to everyone at Arcadia Endodontics for your wonderful skills. read more

This Endodontics office is a joy to visit. The front office staff is very pleasant and the waiting room area is cool & relaxing. The dental assistants made me feel well informed with what was going to happen. Dr Axx does his job very well from the numbing procedure to calling the day after to check on you. I would recommend this office to anyone!! read more

Loved my experience with these guys, well as much as you can love getting a root canal ;) Dr. Axx and his staff were amazing; very nice, patient, and professional. Beautiful and comfortable office. From beginning to end a stellar customer experience. Not very many doctors take the time to actually follow up w their patients. I was touched that Dr. Axx did. read more

I arrived early for my appointment so I could complete my paperwork, which took about ten minutes. I then sat in the waiting room for about another 30 minutes before being shown to an exam room. First time I've ever been in a dentist's office with a view. Very nice. The assistant told me she was going to take some X-rays. I told her I had X-rays and a CT scan sent over from my other dentist and she told me they needed some "special angles". I asked if she had seen my X-rays and she finally said no, she had not. That's called churning. Legitimate fees I'm happy to pay, but don't stick me for an extra $100 that I don't need to be paying. After waiting another 35 minutes with no sign of the doctor and no explanation for why I had been waiting for 75 minutes for a 10:30 appointment I left. The Dr probably knew at 10:00 that he was running late, why not be proactive and give me a call? Or how about an update while I'm waiting? read more

Excellent people! Dr Axx and his staff were professional and kind as well! A good experience all things considered.

This is my second root canal in 5 months, and my first with Dr. Axx. Arcadia Endodontics felt like a spa! Aroma therapy in every room, the chairs all had massage functionality, and the environment overall is inviting. The staff is incredibly warm, patient, and incredibly compassionate. Dr. Axx himself has a very reassuring and calming, yet professional and very knowledgeable demeanor. He finished my root canal very quickly, explained everything, and he (not a staff member) just called me to check in and see how I was feeling. Most providers nowadays barely have time to speak with you in the office, let alone are willing to take the time to personally check in with patients after the treatment. Did I mention that they fit me into his schedule an hour after I called? Could not recommend Arcadia Endodontist or Dr. Axx any more highly! read more

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Axx. He walked me the through the whole root canal process and executed it perfectly along with his lovely assistant. I did the Gentle Wave procedure and had absolutely ZERO pain during or after the procedure, didn't even need ibuprofen. Highly recommend coming here if you're nervous about a root canal. read more

Beautiful office staff, wonderful assistant Raquel and Fantastic Dr Kevin Axx! If you have to have a root canal this is the place to go!!! Your comfort is their main concern!!! read more

This is another one of those great practices. Dr. Axx performed two root canals and the experience better than any other I have had. He personally calls to check on you and that is the mark of a doctor who has your best dental health in mind. I have learned a lot with maturity and reliance on other diagnostic tests can come back to haunt aany doctor or dentist, and it is better for them to rely on their own testing. A specialist is often required and I have seen at least 3 for the issues to fix my upper arch properly and the cost will approach $50K and I'd rather have paid for the extra testing and office visits up front and had it done right. This is an amazingly gifted doctor with a great practice. read more

They are wonderful! Every staff member I encountered was so kind and assuring. Dr. Axx was amazing. He even called the next day to make sure I was doing okay. He does that with all of his patients. Not very many doctors take the time to do that anymore. His assistant Tonna went above and beyond as well! I highly recommend these guys if you need a root canal or an implant. read more

5-STARS!! Very impressed! I love Dr. Axx, his super friendly staff and beautiful new high-tech state of the art office!! Covered parking too! I have lots of dental work done and more than my fair share of needles and I have had the worst and the best. Dr. Axx is one of the best. I went in yesterday to have a root canal re-done and everything was explained to me and every effort was made to ensure I was comfortable. Loved the massaging chairs and also noticed he has oil diffusers!! Mmmnmm...Clove and Lemongrass. Dr. Axx called me today to check on me...one of the nicest person you'd ever meet!! It was thee best endodontic experience I have ever had. I sincerely mean every word! Thank you!! read more

I recently was experiencing severe tooth pain in a back molar. Since I was on vacation I was just planning to use ibuprofen until I got home, but the pain was too much to bear. Dr. Axx and his staff took me in on short notice, on a holiday, and worked on me through their dinner hour! Dr. found that I had an infected root and he did an excellent root canal. I have had no pain at all, completely fixed! The staff and Dr. treated me so kindly, and did such an incredible job fixing my tooth. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, kind and skilled endodontist. Thank you, Dr. Axx for saving my vacation, and my sanity! God bless you and your staff. read more

Great experience, absolutely the best in everything, true professionals and very friendly staff.

I was extremely pleased with my recent visit! The waiting area was clean and beautiful. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Dr. Clatanoff was very thorough and answered my questions and concerns. During my time with him I did not feel rushed like I have in previous dental settings. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Clatanoff for an experience where you will feel important to the staff and you are well taken care of from start to finish. read more

Liked the doctor, and the facility is great. My only complaint is that I waited an hour past my appt time. No one even apologized.

Having emergent root canal surgery can't be on many folks list of fun things to anticipate but thank the gods we have super-professionals available to help us when the time arises. Twice now in a year I've been referred by my dentist at Open Wide Dental to Dr. Axx at Arcadia Endodontics, and both times his timely and skilled procedures gave me back a pain-free existence. This is a super professional practice that doesn't forget the necessity of compassion and kindness to their in-pain clients. Kudos to you Dr. Axx - and thank you again, Raquel for your kind explanations and patience. read more

As a surgeon, I am very particular when it comes to who I let perform procedures on me. In addition to being technically excellent, I can't say enough about Dr. Axx's professionalism and empathy. I would never go anywhere else and refer my own friends and family to this practice. read more

I was recently referred to Dr. Axx and Arcadia Endodontics. I have a sweet tooth and always have so I am no stranger to dental work. Having a root canal done is, in my opinion, the worst of all. So, it was a huge surprise when Dr. Axx performed a root canal and I experienced no pain or discomfort during the procedure or afterwards. NONE AT ALL! Dr. Axx and his staff made me feel very comfortable and were professional in every way. He even followed up the day after my appointment with a phone call to see how I was doing. He and his staff were professional in every way. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone who needs to see an Endodontist. read more

I've had two procedures with zero pain, and Dr. Axx personally phoned me the day after (both times) to ask how I was doing. I don't know many doctors who do that anymore. He and his assistant are compassionate and personable. The facility is state-of-the-art. Highly recommended. read more
