Before starting, he explained that, given its condition, it probably wouldn't last more than a couple of years. I chose to move forward anyway, and I'm so grateful he was honest from the beginning because it allowed me to be mentally prepared when I eventually did lose the tooth. The consultation and treatment here are not inexpensive, but if it's within your budget, you simply can't put a price on a quick, painless procedure and a specialist you can genuinely trust. Additionally, there remains an unresolved credit related to unused X-ray services that I never proceeded with, which I had previously raised. Regardless of any internal billing disagreement, charging a patient's credit card without current authorization is unacceptable. I am now having to spend time disputing a charge that should never have occurred. It was obvious from my first meeting with Dr. Walker that he is very knowledgeable, explains the procedures thoroughly and why he determines they are necessary. He also does a CT scan before the procedure so he can see exactly what's going on with the affected area, preventing a lot of unnecessary probing during the actual procedure. He even found cavities in the crown area that were not visible with x-ray. With regard to the root canal procedure itself, seriously, I've had more pain and discomfort from a dental cleaning than I had with those two root canals. Painless. The numbing procedure was done exactly where the work was going to be done so I didn't go home with "rubber jaw" I was given an itemized invoice of exact costs at the first exam. It was more than reasonable when compared to current area costs. There is also a finance plan available. An added plus - the assistants and office staff are efficient and welcoming. It appears to me that they like being there which isn't always the case in dental and medical offices.

You could only see about a quarter of one front tooth, that's how far it went into my jaw. Dr Perman and Dr Lammot were both shocked when they saw it and said, wow I don't think we've ever seen anything this bad haha. It really was that bad. Dr Lammot pulled my three front teeth down from my jaw with dental pliers and got them back in place.. Dr Perman worked some wonders with the root canals and saved my teeth. Dr Perman did three root canal treatments to save my teeth. He is the most kind and compassionate Dr I've ever had to work with. I cried at my first visit while they were working on me just because I was scared. He talked me through everything he was doing and why this treatment makes the most sense for me. I was a mess because I thought I was going to be walking around with three front teeth missing. Dr Perman got me out of there feeling confident even though there was still a lot of work to be done. I have dental insurance but this cost a lot so I had a lot of out of pocket cost. The front desk staff and accounting staff were so kind in helping me out and setting up a payment plan. My endodontist work is complete and I just went to my dentist for follow up work and they were in absolute shock when I told them what happened and that Dr Lammot and Dr Perman were able to save my teeth. My dentist was like, this doesn't ever happen, especially because you are over 40 haha. Highly recommend Canyon Ridge! I have had both but positive experiences with everyone on the team!

I have delta dental and they are in-network for this practice thankfully. However I still ended up paying almost 500 out of pocket! I believe they balance bill which they are NOT supposed to do, due to being in-network for my insurance. It'd only be 500 if they're charging a ridiculous amount for a root canal well above standard amount. With my insurance they maxed the entire plan out which was honestly shocking. I recently got a root canal and crown and paid almost 500 out of pocket for BOTH from a different dentist. I even have almost 100$ left in my plan. That says a lot. Anyways I tried reaching out to them to ask about the break down and they never got back to me. A bunch of money siphons! I'd avoid this place. I love Dr. Lammont and his team but administration is some shady team. It's full of young women who are busy chatting with each other and not actually helping patients. Also side note for my root canal they let a student sit in and assist Dr. Lammont. I was not informed of this and not offered the choice if I wanted the student to sit in. The student had no prior experience assisting with a root canal. The student was originally watching the procedure and then they were like "you want to sit in? Okay grab some gloves" and never asked me if I was okay with it. If I'm going to be your Guinea pig at least ask or give me a friggin discount to let you spectate. I went with a different place at first because it was closer to where we were living. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I ended up having a bad experience there and finally switched to S&L. Dr. Ngo and his team fixed everything the other dentist had messed up. Right away I knew my wife had been right all along. I've been going to S&L for four years now and they really are the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Ngo has removed all my old metal fillings and replaced them with modern ones, plus he's done a couple of crowns for me. Everything looks and feels great. My wife has also been extremely happy with all the work he's done for her too. I'm almost 55 and I've seen a bunch of top-rated, highly recommended dentists over the years, both here in the US and a couple in Mexico. Nothing else comes close. One thing I have to mention is how good Dr. Ngo is with people who hate dental visits or get nervous about pain. His work is excellent, but it's the way he takes care of you that makes the biggest difference. For example, the way he does Novocaine shots is unbelievable. You barely feel it at all. Every dentist out there should learn his technique. With all that said, I do think the front office experience could be better. However, if preserving your own tooth is important, run from this dingy office and find a doctor with advanced equipment who is focused on saving teeth through proper endodontic treatment rather than wrongfully diagnosing a vertical tooth fracture and insisting that extraction and an implant are your only options. I'm so glad I trusted my intuition, sought a second opinion, and saved my tooth. They even sent my CBCT scan to a radiologist who also incorrectly stated that I had a crack and that the prognosis for the tooth was poor. There was no vertical crack. The real issue was a short crown with leakage underneath it. After only two weeks of treatment, I was already showing signs of bone regeneration, and the tooth was successfully treated with a root canal performed under a microscope using a laser and the latest available techniques. Save your natural teeth, not a couple of dollars. Your natural teeth are far more valuable. Otherwise, you may end up paying even more for unnecessary extractions and implants. Stay away from this place!

One small suggestion I would have preferred high level updates of where we are during root canal. However Dr Slykhous did a good job explaining afterwards and even showed me the updated x-ray which was nice. They place a temporary sealant which doesn't feel secure but seemed to be standard and they said can last up to 3 weeks. I'm satisfied with the work however the pricing is on the expensive side even with insurance so the value doesn't match the cost. Also they charge for an evaluation. Hopefully I won't need their services again as the cost would likely prevent me from returning.
