I have been a patient of Arcadia Health and Wellness for well over two years and I am also a health care provider. In my mind, there are several things that define an excellent doctor. Competency, concern/compassion for others, and availability. If a provider lacks any of these essential elements, their practice does not flourish and patients go elsewhere. Not only are these doctors highly competent, compassionate and readily available, but they are also great educators of their craft. I first became a patient of the practice after a hip injury, which has long since been healed. Since my initial foray in their practice, I have dealt with a wide variety of musculoskeletal concerns. I enjoy being active and like to ski, bike, climb, hike, etc. and for every injury I seek guidance and healing, I am rewarded with faster recuperation and a better understanding of how to prevent and rehabilitate similar injuries in the future. For example, learning about trigger points, how to stretch my 'IT' band and developing simple yoga poses (which have helped me maintain strength and flexibility) are but a few of the insights I have gained from working with Dr. Dom and Dr. Matt. I was initially referred by a trusted friend, became a loyal patient, and have since referred dozens of others to their practice. As a western trained physician, I have observed that chiropractic care is not always given the respect it deserves. If you have a musculoskeletal injury, please give these gentleman a chance. I've never been to a chiropractor before and I was referred to Dr.Matt for severe back and leg pain over a year ago. I can happily say that I'm pain free thanks to him and the employees at his office. Making an appointment is easy and very professional. He is passionate about what he does and really cares about his patients. Dr. Matt knows what he's doing! I started coming ever since I re-injured my L5 herniation and haven't stopped since. You not only get individualized attention here but they teach you how to help yourself at home or at the gym. I am happy to say that all of my issues have been resolved (at least the physical ones haha) and I continue to use the knowledge gained here and take preventative steps on my own. I have an L1 disc that has suffered some degeneration which was pointed out to me in recent x-rays ordered by my PCP. I called and made an appointment to this establishment as a "new patient" specifically for "an adjustment" to help with sever back pain after pinching my sciatic nerve after just bending over once poorly. After filling out a complete health history, I was given a "tour of the facility and equipment" as if I were shopping for a membership in a health club, I then got sat down and was asked to regurgitate some of the new patient information I just spent 15 minutes to fill out only to be told that they would require a "new x-ray" ($60) before they could do anything at all for me. This would, of course, require another appointment the next day. After making my disappointment known that they would refuse treatment of any kind at that time, I was told that "if you want your back cracked then you can go down the street (referring to another chiropractor nearby) and they can do it for you" (exact quote). They charged me $60 for the "consultation", would not apply my insurance coverage ($20) to the charge and told me they would credit me that if they found that my insurance would pay some of it. I'm NOT holding my breath. Sorry, I'll take a HARD PASS at returning there for anything. read more

Love this place! I heard about Dr. Matt from some friends at my gym, and I couldn't be happier. The office is laid-back and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Dr. Matt and the PT team offer personalized advice each session that leaves me feeling like a new person! My workout recovery has gotten better and I am sleeping and mobilizing better than ever. Dr. Dominic and his staff are absolutely amazing! I was referred through a co-worker after I was involved in an auto accident and I could not have been more pleased with the level of customer service and treatment I received. Initially my first appt was scheduled for a week out and Dr. Dom personally called to ask that I come in outside of his standard office hours ASAP (he even personally went and picked up my x-rays on his day off so I could come in sooner...Who does that?!). He was thorough, direct, professional, provided options outside of manual manipulation (as that made me a bit nervous), and I could truly tell my recovery, health and well being were his first priority. Ever since I was a teenager, I've experienced frequent migraines (at least 2-3 a month!). I've tried a variety of solutions- different diet, stronger medications, and seeing my doctor regularly. Nothing worked. Finally, a colleague of mine recommended that I go to Dr. Matt at Arcadia Health and Wellness. I was skeptical at first, but I was willing to try it out. Dr. Matt is a no-nonsense kind of doctor who gets you results. He knows your time is valuable and honors your time with him. I never felt rushed as I asked him numerous questions regarding a torn rotator cuff. He shared with me some of the options available to me. He's an excellent listener and communicator and answered with kindness and compassion. So while I'm making up my mind about the options for my shoulder, I also went to him about my hips that were hurting. He assessed the problem and knew exactly how to fix it. Dr. Matt helped relieve the pain after a few short weeks of getting adjusted. One of his therapists also showed me exercises that I did there at the clinic and how to do them at home. Dr. Matt also gave me some suggestions on how to do everyday regular chores, tasks, and everyday movements (like stepping out of my car) in a slightly different way that supports the hips, rather than strains them. My Experience was not pleasant at all. I felt the chiropractor I saw could definitely could have more kindness and compassion. I always felt uncomfortable at this place and doing the stretching and adjustments out in the open with a lot of other people and it's crowded often because the area is so small. They want you to stretch and do these exercises right amongst all the people and it's more than awkward and uncomfortable. I felt this place is another money maker , you're in and out and the time spent with each patient is very , very short. The stretches and exercises are nothing to rave about and I feel Dr. Dom was not very personable or Friendly. Just kind of a cold personality and makes you feel like you are just a bother almost. I found a new chiropractor is surprisingly terrific ! He spends an hour with me each visit and he spends the time working to help you and it's always in private and never around a bunch of people you don't know. Growing up with as the child of a physician and a nurse, I was always told that chiropractors weren't "real doctors." However, Dr. Dom at Arcadia Health and Wellness has 100% changed my mind. I am hopelessly addicted to cardio training and would always rather speed up than slow down. I was experiencing a nagging pain shooting up the bottom of my foot, and it became so painful that I was scared to death I had a stress fracture. The idea of putting exercise on hold for weeks was terrifying. I met Dr. Dom and he encouraged me to come in for a consult. I was a total skeptic, but figured it was best to find out if I was really causing myself major damage. When I arrived, I was totally blunt and direct, telling him before the exam that if it was a stress fracture, I was determined to completely ignore it, and continue beating my feet to death. Dr. Dom assured me that his job was "to keep me in the game," and doing what I love to do (cardio training). Upon examination, Dr. Dom was incredibly thorough, explaining every movement and portion of the exam. This made me feel completely at ease and very confident in his knowledge and ability. Dr. Dom informed me that I had a dislocated big toe, and via manipulation and this Olympic grade tape, my foot made a miraculous recovery. Three months of pain had vanished in a single visit, AMAZING! Since my first visit, I have returned several times for similar foot issues, and Dr. Dom's careful explanations of his technique and manipulation always makes me feel comfortable. Being an older and retired couple (well not really "old") we arrived at Dr Dom's in need of adjustment of the infamous "Bad Back" and "Creaky Neck" syndromes of our ages. After a thorough examination and xrays, we were prescribed separate courses of treatment and an experience with the NASA-created "Magic, Mystery, Machine". Capable of delivering specific impulses targeted to treatment areas this technological marvel was instrumental in charting our individual progress on a graphic screen, easily readable and understood by our laymen eyes. Dr. Dom recognized my further problem of scar tissue turning to cartilage in my shoulder from an old injury and turned me over to his talented protégé, Dr. Matt, who pressed, twisted and scrunched my arm over several sessions until any need for rotator cuff surgery vanished from my fear (and pocketbook) of a hospital procedure. We have been away from the PHX area for over a month (having moved to Nevada) but Dr. Dom's and Dr. Matt's continuing exercise regimens have succeeded in our continuing well-being and freedom from the aches and pains of our previous problems. If you care to deal with a company that actually backs up their talk then DONT deal with Arcadia Health and Wellness. I was being treated by Dr. Matt after dislocating a rib. My insurance coveres 20 sessiond a year and when I ran out for the year Dr. Matt specifically told me to keep coming and they would do no charge visits because it didnt want my recovery to compromised. Over 1 month I was treated 3 times at no charge. When it came time to prepay for the next round if sessions... which they make you pay for ever session up front, i paid $75 (copay) for the next 5 sessions. After being sent out of town due to work I tried to cancel those session and get a refund. They proceeded totell me that I would only be getting $30 back becauuse of the 3 sessions that I wasnt charged for. I explaained to their billing person that those 3 were supposed to be no charge sessions. I told her waat Dr. Matthad told me, her reply being that she would talk to the doctor and call me back. Flash for 3 weeks with multiple no return phone calls and still havent got my money back. I FINALLY get ahold of them and get told they would call me back in 10 minutes. 30 minute later Dr. Dominic calls me with an attitude telling me hes the owner and that him not Dr. Matt never said they would treat me for free but he will refund me my claimed amount so I can stop bothering them. I was nothing but respectful and more than patient to be called a lair and and treated with such disrespect, all for $75 and what is probably miscommunication between the doctors or hell even between me and the doctor treating me. I was specifically told "no charge visits" not IOU visits and all I was looking for was for them to honor what was told to me, regardless if the doctor miscommunicated to me what he ment. Arcadia Health and Wellness easily went from being easily the best chiropractic office, that I was driving over and hour to spend less than 30 minutes at, to the worst businessI have ever delt with due to poor service.
