Was it delicious? Yes. Was it overpriced? Also yes. I do recommend giving this place a try, but be warned it's not exactly affordable. The food was good. I appreciate the bacon was crispy as I requested. The potatoes look better than they taste. They appear to be well seasoned, but they lack a bit of flavor. Even just salt would have helped. I loved that it had roasted garlic too. Hard to describe how something that looks so well seasoned tastes a bit bland. The steak was good. Nice and tender. We ordered medium and got medium rare. It wasn't the end of the told. But the real star of the show was the sauce! It was *chefs kiss* We ordered drinks too but I forgot to take a photo. Just know if you order for there, you'll get your drinks in a glass cup. For 9/10 people that's not an issue. The thing is, I'm a bariatric patient so I can't mix my liquids and solids. So I just had to request mine in a to go cup. I still do recommend giving it a try. But bring your wallet. It was $70+ for two plates, two drinks, and tip.
First impression, super cute environment. Setup was great, separation from coffee counter and restaurant. Host staff were friendly and inviting. On a busy Sunday, we were sat in less the 10 minutes. Server was prompt, got our drinks and another was by shortly after to put our food order in. I tried the chai latte and French toast. Firs look, chai latte had cinnamon crumbles and it didn't appear to be on purpose. The drink itself was very subtle and tasted more like warm milk rather than chai tea. The French toast tasted way better than it looked, lemon ricotta was for sure the star. Bf had a cold brew and the breakfast sandwich. He said the coffee was eh but that the sandwich had finesse. He said the eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy and muffin was great. Overall, I'm not sure it'll make it into our rotation but if you're in the area it may hit the spot for you.
What a vibe in here. Spacious, running AC, and rustling and bustling. This place has such an open and inviting aura. I would love to study here. The drink mango sticky matcha was not too sweet which was good for me.
Great café and brunch spot in Riverside. We were on our way to Phoenix and stopped here for brunch. Excellent coffee and great food menu! This was such a great stop that hopefully I'll have a reason to go back at some point.
This is a solid, upscale coffee shop in Downtown Riverside. I've been to their other locations as well, but mostly visit Bakehouse and Downtown. As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. On this particular trip, I wanted to try their new syrup flavor (it was some form of orange zest, or something similar?), but noticed my latte had no real flavor in it after a few sips. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.
If you like to play the games of caffeine then this is a coffee lovers dream. Dine in service and a chill playlist? Now that's what I mean. After having their coffee I was lit like a bullet and in charge like Steve McQueen. Located inside the downtown area this is one of those gems you can't afford to pass up if you're on a coffee hunt. I ordered an espresso shot to start off with and it definitely got me a little lit. My second drink was the cortado and it was a hit. My third drink was their Draft Latte and half way through I had to quit. I took the rest home because I was in the zone and who knew where I would roam. Overall I have to admit that their coffee is legit. The service is really good and the atmosphere is chili and eye pleasing. This is one of those shops you can actually loose yourself and time and that is totally fine. And that's my take on it, Peace.
The ambiance is very chic, relaxed, and contemporary. The service is friendly and fast, and the food is both tasty and healthy. The coffee has a great flavor, I ordered a latte, and it was really good! Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal and great coffee in a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Fast service, and the food was good. It was a little more expensive than I expected, but it came out fast and tasted fresh. I felt the sandwich needed a little more sauce or salt, but it was still good. The drink was different not bad or good, just different. I'm not sure if I would order it again.
I've been here several times in the past and stopped in for a quick bite and some coffee. I had the egg scramble with bacon and potatoes. My son killed the potatoes, but I enjoyed my cup of coffee with eggs and bacon. I had their salsa, which was surprisingly flavorful at a coffee spot. Service was quick and polite. The decor in this place is modern vintage. Calm lighting with plants tucked away here and there. Love the vibe.
My husband and I were looking for a coffee shop that has in house made syrups for lattes and found this place. I recognized the name since I've gone to their other location in orange crest (Riverside). Service was excellent and we decided to dine in and order breakfast as well as hot lattes. For breakfast we ordered: the Turkish eggs and the soft scrambled toast, both were filling and tasted great! For the hot lattes we ordered: the honey lavender and vanilla, both were absolutely delicious! We enjoyed our breakfast and lattes! Definitely worth coming back!
What a lovely coffee shop! The line was out the door and place was bustling with business. L We were greeted by the hostess, who asked if we'd like to dine in. There was also a separate line for coffee to go orders. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated. We ordered a Honey cinnamon latte and a draft latte. The draft latte was the right amount of sweetness. The honey cinnamon latte was also just right. Our food came out: we had ordered the huevos rancheros, the French toast, and the Yukon potato wedges. The huevos rancheros had a decent amount of food with a sunny side egg on top. The French toast was unique: it was made with persimmon butter, topped with matcha rice crisps. After our meal, the server let us move to the bar area so we can do some computer work. They didn't allow us to sit in the dining area to just work. We sat there until closing. It was a bit noisy but closer to closing, it was as quiet. There were outlets for our computers and free WiFi upon asking. Overall, it was a nice, social coffee bar with minimalistic decor. The coffee was good and the food was wonderful. The servers were bubbly and friendly. Absolutely a recommendation from us!
Sorry but overhyped. Also they gave this to me, said it was my party melt, and I said "are you sure?" "Yep!" Either the waiter didn't know what a patty melt looks like, or this was the weirdest, driest patty melt either (who adds lettuce and bacon?) even as a sandwich, it was pretty dry and unflavored.
10/10 jury duty detour. Imagine landing jury duty...and somehow scoring the PERFECT parking spot. Now imagine being excused after 30 minutes for THREE WHOLE HOURS...on a rainy day. There was absolutely no way I was giving up that parking spot...that's how I found myself walking to Arcade Downtown. Let me start here: I got aggressively caffeinated. Also had one of the best breakfast sandwiches-so good I ate before I taking a picture. Service was solid. This spot is perfect for sitting, thinking, reading and processing the fact civic duty comes around once a year. Thank goodness Arcade Downtown is a quick stroll away. I was hyped by the time I got back to the courtroom that I was almost disappointed they dismissed us same day. Low-key, I was looking forward to reclaiming that corner seat by the food counter. Great coffee/food/service. I'll def be back on non-civic-duty days.

Came here for a quick caffeine boost, but saw that so many people ate here for brunch! I will have to try their food next time.... Ended up ordering an Iced Matcha Latte with Gingerbread Caramel Syrup. The drink was not bad. Matcha was good quality, but I think they just added too much milk. It was very creamy. I love this place! I was so excited for this downtown location to open, and it's easily exceeded all my expectations. I've been here a couple times already just to grab a coffee and do some studying, but this was my first time dining in for brunch. I ordered the prosciutto & burrata tartine, which was so savory and delicious! The focaccia was a bit rough, but the sweet herbiness of the arugula pesto and the crisp tartness of the cherry tomatoes more than made up for it. I also ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk (my go-to order at all the Arcade locations), which was perfect as usual! My friends had the avocado toast and steak & eggs, and they loved them as well! Highly highly recommend this place for brunch with family and friends! If you're looking to just study or get work done, I would recommend bringing noise-cancelling headphones since it can get pretty loud from the brunch diners, or you can always head to one of the other two Arcade locations! read more

One of the best veggie sandwiches I've had. I came here for a quick bite and was promptly seated after ordering our food. Arcade Downtown is nestled in downtown Riverside near the UCR Art Center and I immediately knew I had to try this place after going to Arcade's tasting room. The veggie sandwich had the whole package; pickled cucumber, roasted bell pepper, avocado, sprouts and onions sandwiched between perfectly toast sourdough and mayo. It was a serious sandwich that was filling, healthful and delicious. The pork belly sandwich was so delicate and soft; the pork belly was tender, lightly seasoned and focaccia was pillowy and warm. The beverages also held their own; the cold brew was super complex, lightly sweet and fruity with notes of chocolate that was a perfect compliment to my sandwich. The peach green tea was also aromatic, subtle and sweet, which I have no complaints about. They are also pet friendly! I highly recommend this place for brunch and would love to try Arcade again for their dinner options at this location. All of their establishments have also exhibited ELITE music taste every time I've visited. Cannot wait to stop by this gem again!! read more

This place was delicious!!! I got the banh mi sandwich and omg to die for! I love my traditional banh mi but this sandwich was a great twist would definitely recommend if you're a fan of the sandwich. To drink I got the matcha lavender latte hot, super yummy. Besides all the food being delicious the service was amazing!!! Every single staff member greeted us and asked if we needed anything. It's clean and very cute spot. Try it out ! read more

Love the vibe of this place! Incredibly cool coffee shop in downtown (though there is another location in Canyon Crest that I usually go to more often), great to get light work done or meet up with friends! The iced latte w half honey cinnamon and oat milk is my usual go to, but since I came after jury duty I treated myself to brunch as well! The steak in the steak and eggs was cooked perfectly, but I will say the eggs were a lil bland? would maybe do a plain fried egg instead of scrambled if I came back again! read more

I neverrrr leave reviews but I just have to say the food and service is some of the best I've ever received. My friend and I came both days of our trip. Annie served us and we were met with a smile and absolutely incredible service. I got an iced cappuccino with oat milk and cream cheese cold foam on the side, my friend the cold brew. I also tried the breakfast platter and Turkish eggs, and we split the french toast both days. Our other friend got the steak and eggs and it looked DIVINE. The eggs were fluffy, quality "hotel eggs" style - I could go on but this is a must try if you're in the area!! Thank you Annie for putting my friends and I in such a great mood both days read more

On a Sunday mid-morning, we decided to try out this coffee shop, and ended up staying for breakfast. I ordered the Guatemala cold brew and we ordered the summer blend, which was like a nitro. Plus we ordered the baked oatmeal tart (warmed) and it was so delicious! For my entree I got the prosciutto and burrata tartine. It was sooooo good! The cheese was very fresh as was the pesto. There was plenty of prosciutto to make sure you had some in every bite. The steak and eggs was just okay. The flavor was good, but everything had different temperatures. The eggs were very fried, but cold. The steak was cooked perfectly, but lukewarm (the butter wasn't melting). The potatoes were warm. Overall, it's pricey. We spent $60 for 2 entrees, 2 coffees and 1 pastry. read more
I've been going to Arcade Coffee Roasters for several years, and the Downtown location is now my favorite one. It's not only offers amazing coffee, but delicious food as well. Big thing to note is that the Downtown location serves brunch with a wait staff from 7 am - 2 pm (used to be weekends only but I think every day now?), so this place is more like a brunch restaurant than a coffee shop. Service is top notch but they can get slow at times when it's busy, so don't expect a quick meal here. Ambiance is very trendy and they even serve cocktails. Here are my thoughts about their coffee and food: - Coffee: They roast their own beans and their coffee is excellent. They always have interesting notes with a perfect balance of creaminess and acidity. They also offer a seasonal syrup; the winter syrup was a vanilla pine which was absolutely delicious. I think Arcade is one of the top 3 coffee roasters in the Inland Empire. - Arcburger: You're probably wondering, can a coffee roaster even make a good burger? The answer is yes! Honestly this burger is even better than the ones from the burger restaurants in this area. They use a dry aged beef blend and I could definitely taste the quality. I order the burger every time I come here. - Orange maple french toast: They use brioche so the toast is light and fluffy. They also use cream cheese in the whipped cream. Definitely recommend. - Salads: Their poblano chicken caesar was pretty good and had a good amount of chicken. They also had a refreshing grapefruit salad which I don't think they offer anymore. - Spring pea grilled cheese: This dish was a little too unique for me. The pea pesto and boursin cheese were a little too similar in texture and taste. Again, not for me but maybe for you! - Pastries: All of their pastries are really good, from their scones to muffins but especially their cookies which are perfectly chewy. Make sure to get them warmed up! In terms of parking, I can always find street parking nearby and tend to park on 10th st. So overall, this is a great brunch spot and I'll keep coming back! read more

What more could I want from a restaurant? Great service great food, beautiful atmosphere. From the first initial contact which was calling to find out about their wait time, the hostess was so kind and personable, and even allowed us to put our name on the list before we arrived. Got a drip coffee and lemon poppy muffin. Coffee was exceptional. Had it black, and it was velvety with slight cocoa notes. Absolutely no bitterness. Muffin was good, a little more pumpkin seeds than I'm used to, but overall delicious. read more

Super cute cafe; I prefer this location over the Canyon Crest spot. Barista's are sweet, friendly, & helpful. It was raining super hard this morning, and Yelp directions led me to a parking garage on Orange. After driving around DTR for TOO LONG, I called the cafe and they guided me to their location. Located on the corner of 9th/Market, there is a parking garage and street parking with complimentary 90 minutes. They are on Main St, along the shopping/dining strip right across the Martin Luther Ling Jr. statue. Nice ambience. Delicious coffee and pastries. Will be back for breakfast, lunch, and to try dinner sometime. Great indoor space to study, work, read, people watch. We decided to try this place since it has 4 plus stars. Waited 30 minutes for our table and another 15 minutes inside before our waiter came and took our order. We ordered steak and eggs, which you cant request on how you like your eggs, just scrambled. The burger is ok. I asked for ranch, they dont have it. I wanted to try the butter carrot muffin but they're out. I posted a picture of our meal, very dissatisfied and not worth 48 dollars. Ambiance is nice and everyone there is nice too. This is a great coffee spot located in downtown riverside. The atmosphere is very bright with open windows and a simple color scheme. I got to try the draft latte that is on tap, vanilla and lavender latte, and the summer matcha special. We got an order of the pork belly sandwich and the French toast. Everything was amazing! The pork belly was on a focaccia bun with sprouts. The pork belly was very tender, juicy, and flavorful. It was a good portion enough to make you satisfied. The French toast tasted like pumpkin spice. It was good and sweet if you're craving something sweet for breakfast. The latte on tap is a must! It is sweet and made with oat milk for all the lactose people out there. I don't usually drink coffee but I will come back here to drink that. I ordered a matcha and it was really good quality. It had sparkling water, lime, and mango. I recommend the coffee over the matcha and I am a huge matcha fan! Best of all, they are dog friendly! They don't have any outdoor seating but they let me bring my dog inside! Great food, great coffee, and dog friendly! I'll be back! read more

So I was around the area and wanted a simple pick me up (basically some coffee) lol. Spotted this place on yelp and had to try a couple of dishes and lattes. It's a very aesthetic little spot. Super cute tho. Love the vibes. The draft Latte is amazing I loooooove a good coffee. Not overly powering sweet but it was good. Not a big fan of the classic latte. The food was good especially the French toast. But my not so avocado toast was basically burnt. My toast hella hard and super burnt. But the atmosphere was cool, the employees were not as welcoming but overall the place was great. It's a bit pricey, paid $46 for two plates and two drinks. it can get a little busy, so there is a wait on food and drinks. Just a heads up. read more

This location finally opened after a Covid-19 related delay and the downtown area is much obliged, especially since we lost Augie's and Molino's closed earlier (and sided with the police during George Floyd protests). Located in one of the relatively new apartment buildings on the pedestrian section of Main St., it's probably a blessing for City Hall and courthouse employees. Inside it's modern and clean, the only location so far built for its intended purpose from a clean slate. I'm definitely planning to do some research and reading here in coming days. The day I popped in there was someone training to be a barista so it took two tries to get my drink done correctly. No biggie, but if it was busy some customers would probably have left if there was a long line. Fortunately, both drinks lattes were excellent and my mother enjoyed hers very much. Especially after getting a Boston Cream at the nearby Donut Bar. The new shiny stainless kitchen in the back made me smile and I'm sure I'll sample some of the menu offerings soon enough. read more
The breakfast at Arcade is phenomenal. I'm usually skeptical of steak and eggs but theirs blew me out of the water. All of their dishes seem to be prepared with a lot attention and care so they come out looking gorgeous and amazing. I've always been a fan of their coffee but now I'm also a fan of their food! There are "reservations" or table holds available. I'd take advantage of that option if it's available during the weekend. It's not a huge place so it can get filled up quickly. read more

My boyfriend and I went on Valentine's Day and we found it as a very enjoyable brunch. The staff was very friendly, and I'm sure it wasn't just because of the holiday they seemed pretty genuinely sincere. There's not a huge menu but the food they do have they make it great. Most dishes have a little spin on it which makes it so worth it to order. The place was very clean, it was a little crowded but that comes with the holiday. Decor was simple and cute it's a very nice vibe to have a sit down brunch, coffee date, or study day. read more

So happy to see a location downtown that's walkable. Definitely found my new favorite study spot. Interior has tons of seating and great outdoor lighting. Wasn't there long enough to check out the outlet situation but seems promising from other reviews. I had a cold brew that was strrooong. Will def last me another day or two. As for food I had the yogurt which was just as delicious as it was beautiful. Had all kinds of fruits inside but my favorite addition was the pistachio butter and mint leaves. Such a new combo of flavors that I've never experienced before. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the breakfast/lunch menu! read more
Since being introduced to this place I've become a super fan of this business. There first location came when there just really wasn't any craft coffee in the IE. Recently they had this there 3rd location. All locations are really distinct in their own right, but same great coffee at each one. This location gives you that city feel and great for people watching. This location give you by far the most seating options. The best sit down place for coffee in the IE. Great to study at or socialize with friends. Around the city you do have to pay for parking M-F during work hours, but it is free on the weekends. Coffee wise I always get lattes. Honey cinnamon, vanilla are my most common ones I get. They do have sone great seasonal offerings also (pumpkin, white chocolate mocha, charred orange, ect). I've also heard they have great food that I have yet to try. I guess I'm too busy trying lattes but I will be sure to try it sometime. Arcade is just what downtown riverside was needing and another great reason to come down here. read more

I loved the Arcade on Chicago and was ecstatic that they were opening another location in Downtown Riverside. I visited this location during their opening weekend with a friend and ordered a draft latte - my go to - and an avocado toast. Similar to the location on Chicago, both items were quite pricey. However, I enjoyed each sip and bite, and I would definitely order it again in the future. Compared to the Chicago location, finding parking here is a little more difficult, and there is also quite a walk. The interior here is modern and aesthetically very clean. Both locations are excellent environments to study or have conversation, as the music is not too loud. Being in downtown, it is quite popular, and there may be a wait time to sit at a table. read more
