Best I have ever been to! EVER!! My neighbor has been coming to ARC formerly RTS for years, I made an appointment, had my car looked over and diagnosed some immediate and not so immediate concerns. Repairs are very very fair priced, extremely friendly caring staff! They never tried to sell me anything more or try to cheat me in any way! They have gone WAY WAY WAY above and beyond in their thoroughness at their own expense! Today, my car blew the tail lights, I'm heading out of state tomorrow, I called, they told me come on over. Mark stayed through his lunch time waiting on me, checked the car over from top to bottom, not much needed as she was serviced just last week, but Mark refilled fluids, checked tires, replaced my wipers, and checked all my light bulbs after replacing the ones burnt out. *DISCLAIMER: Shady things are afoot. It appears RTS Imports ( the original name that this business went by) simply changed their name on Yelp to avoid the bad feedback they had been receiving. The same owners and workers are running this business and nothing has changed besides their online name. Below is my original review.* I honestly have no good way to describe the sheer frustration I have experienced as a result of RTS Imports (ARC Automotive LLC). Listen, I've been around the block, and dealt with my fair share of shady wrench-monkeys, but nothing has even come close to the terrible experience that resulted from a visit to Craig and RTS Imports (ARC Automotive LLC). To start, the pictures located on this Yelp page are horribly antiquated. Maybe at one point, the garage and office looked like that, but today they are dilapidated and unkempt. That is always the first warning sign that a mechanic is not up to snuff. Now comes the issue of customer relations. I really cannot remember the last time I had to deal with a bigger prick. My car didn't even need service, but instead I was hoping to upgrade one of the systems on it. I would be able to do this at home, but for this particular job I wasn't able to get the car high enough off of the ground. I was happy to bring my car to a local mechanic and truthfully, money was not an issue. I had spent 3 months researching, learning, and acquiring every single part (down to the nuts and bolts) needed for the upgrade. But instead of just saying "okay, looks good and easy. It'll be done in two days," Craig decided to get high-and-mighty over installing just one part... a $40 sensor that needed to be swapped. He was insistent that it would mess everything up (even though I am certain it would not have) and that it was a waste of my money to have even bought it. Well, Craig, if you are reading this, let me just say that I couldn't have cared less if it worked or not, that was the part that I wanted installed. Frankly, $40 is nothing to me. If it didn't work, oh well. I would have gladly just reverted back to the OE part. But of course Craig couldn't keep his mouth shut and ultimately reverted to name calling and insults so juvenile that a second grader could have strung together a more scathing and harsh diatribe. So I gladly packed up my parts and left. I'd rather give my money to somebody who wants it. The best part was that as I was packing up, Craig insisted (backhandedly) that he would install everything for me. HAHA. It also doesn't help that Craig has some pretty well known issues of his own. I won't go into detail, but if you're unlucky enough to be stuck having a conversation with him, chances are you will SMELL his problems all over him. Chances are, if you use him as your mechanic, he drank all of the money he made off of you... that same day. Oh and by the way, I had no difficulty finding a friendly mechanic who was happy to install everything that I had purchased. It was finished in a day and a half with no problems. And that $40 sensor that Craig insisted would cause all kinds of problems... yeah, it works absolutely brilliantly. Just what I had known would happen. read more

I've been going to RTS over 20 years. The original owner sold to Craig and the business and quality of good work is still the same. I have never once had a problem with either RTS or ARC as it's called now. I find it interesting that Vince D. had such a problem over an issue that was really a non-issue. Reading Vince's points, it seems Vince was going there to start a fight over having to get work done without an appointment. It also seems that Vince is a mechanic wannabe. I am sure that Vince become overly insistent to the point of belligerence in wanting to have a part put in that would have caused problems as Craig mentioned, because Vince said he didn't care if it would work or not. That's a sign of someone who is looking to scam the mechanic to get lots of free work done by saying that the mechanic ruined his car by putting a part in that the mechanic knew was not necessary or would create further problems for the car. These people are known as "grifters". Vince then had to resort to name-calling when Craig wouldn't do what Vince wanted. (We still don't know if Vince had an appointment or just showed up unannounced and Craig couldn't fit him into the daily schedule; some customers are notorious for being arrogant and obnoxious by showing up, demanding work be done, and not having an appointment). I am glad Vince went to another mechanic. He probably had to get an appointment first. With customers like Vince, there are dozens of others like us who like Craig's work and business acumen. RTS/ARC hasn't lost its stride since the changeover. They are still professional and will get to the bottom of an automotive problem until it's fixed properly, even at their own expense. read more

I brought my car to Craig and Wendy because I knew them and they lived in my town. What I can say is that I will never use them again. They do not communicate well. I called them multiply times to see how much time was worked on the car and what was the problem with the car. They would never call you right back or answer the phone. I would have to leave a message. They would call back later in the evening and always say we can't give you a price right now but he is working on it. The final day i went to pick my car I left multiply messages on their phone asking what was the price to fix the car. They never called me right back with the price. When Arc automotive did call me back later that evening. They left a message on my phone to pick up the car and the bill is on the seat. Wendy told me to drop the check off in the drop box for the amount on the bill. Never telling me in the message what the cost would be. When i pick up the car the bill was on seat. The bill was over a thousand dollars. When i looked at the bill they changed a few part that i did not requested and charge me for them. I called them and asked for justifications on why this cost so much. Craig was belligerent and nasty on the phone to me. This guy is shady. It also seems he not a honest broker when it comes to Bussiness. You don't talk or treat your customers with disrespect. There is no listing on the bill how much he gets paid an hour for labor.They never gave me a price on what it would cost to to repair the car. I never signed anything for them to do the repairs. I wouldn't recommend this service shop. read more
