The staff is friendly and the service is fantastic. They went out of their way to squeeze us in when I had a car emergency.

I've been having issues with the starter in my BMW. I've worked in the auto industry for about 8…read moreyears and have been to all the local dealerships. This place was recommended to me by a body shop owner who also owns a BMW. I can tell you that the labor rate at dealerships is high and they usually take a long time to look at your car as well as replacing all related components to make sure the issues are addressed. You're dealership may also recommend services that aren't needed. Steve explained that rather than spending the time disassembling and diagnosing the problem, it's better to replace the ignition switch for less than 300$. I agreed. Steve said that if this doesn't work that the control module for the ignition may be the problem. I was interested in getting a spare key as well. Steve recommended waiting to make sure the issue was addressed before duplicating the key and possibly creating another issue. I agreed. The issue with the starter persisted so I brought the car back to replace the control module and duplicate the key. The new key and starter are now working perfectly. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they didn't recommend any unnecessary services or escalate my bill with unnecessary labor. My used Z4 may have been a bad decision, but bringing it to Motor Works West for repairs was the right choice. Unfortunately I will have to go back to get my convertible top replaced and I recommend you bring your BMW to them as well.

Even oil change is more expensive than dealers now. Nothing but great things to say about Mike and the crew here. I got a nail stuck in the corner of…read morethe sidewall of my tire and needed to get the tire replaced. It was a Dueler run flat tire for my SUV. Its a hard tire to find and usually has to be ordered in. I had no luck finding the tire at any tire shops in the area but finally i called this firestone and Mike had one in the back. I called in the morning and Mike told me to stop by whenever i had the time. I dropped off the car that afternoon, went for a coffee and a little shopping in the shopping plaza across the street and the tire was put on in less than an hour. Over the phone Mike was really helpful and easy going. Made me feel comfortable that i was coming into his shop. When i arrived, i felt welcomed and the process was really smooth and quick. Customer service here is great. I'd recommend this shop to anyone.

Horrible car service, and horrible customer service. It's probably the worst ever car service in…read morethese parts. What they practice is close to THIEVERY, be warned and stay away! They charged me for a service they didn't perform. They told me they couldn't do an alignment and that I should first replace certain parts for 1500$ with them. Then they still charged me for the alignment even though they said they couldn't do it. Then they didn't give me any printed receipts or documents, saying it's all "online" - but they actually never sent any documents to me then or after. Nothing at all. Even the price they charged was more than the quote themselves sent me via email 2 days before. So much thievery and fraudulent practices, this location is a terrible business. AVOID this place at all costs, there are so many other choices BUT NOT THESE amateurs.

Good, honest mechanics exist !!!! :-)…read more Highly recommend Ron. I am having a hard time letting go of my 12 year old car because I'd rather have 4 root canals on the same day that go shopping for a car. Anyhow, Ron could have fixed whatever was wrong with my car this time and tell me that there was nothing else wrong so I could keep coming back but he did not. He ran full diagnostics and told me flat out "time to let go". I am really bummed I found him just now that my car is going to "car heaven" soon but I will recommend him to everybody I know that has a car and I will go to him with my new ride for everything including oil changes because I am planning on keeping my next car until we, the public, do not have to deal with car dealers any more or I can afford a Tesla!

So I go to "The Car Doctor" who on his website states "I fix everything but a broken heart" and…read moretell him about my no oil pressure situation. He tells me that he no longer excepts jobs on engines as they are not profitable enough.... wow!! So then I ask him for a reference and he tell me to go to the local dealership (Better known as Stealerships) Avoid this guy!!! If you want to pay more for an oil change, have your wiper changed, or any other small job you can do in your driveway might be ok - any major repairs he will tell you he is rejecting the job. He needs to retire and let a real mechanic take over the space that will in fact "FIX EVERYTHING" as he states all over his websites Now his reply is full of lies - probably needs a fact checker on his radio program as well. Lie #1 - I didn't drive with no oil and never told you that, I specifically gave you the details that it happened first thing in the morning in my driveway. It shows your character or should I say lack there of that your hanging your hat on this when in fact it was all about you "not making money on engine repair" Lie #2 - you didn't say the word "machine shop" the entire time I was there., simply that you "don't do engine work" and I should go to the dealership. As I said this goes against your web site saying "We fix everything but a broken heart" - clearly false advertising, very cute but not really what you said in person is it? PS - You should really retire as I received estimates and commitments from 3 other shops‍ I spoke with, most who knew right off what the issue was and the job before them. Not one had the comment of and I'm quoting you "I just don't make money on engine repairs" I hope any potential clients understand your living on past experience and they need an up to date shop that isn't turning away work because "its the engine" ‍
