First they hit all the kids harnessed up and then they watched a safety video before enter the climbing area. There are so many different walls and there are corresponding numbers to what level of difficulty it is, with number 5 before the mist difficult. Again, thank you to the attentive staff who noticed my daughter's helmet was loose after a climb and her harness also needed tightening. We were lucky with parking because we found a spot tight in front of the door but I definitely saw a lot of street parking We're already talking about our next birthday party here

I have never been rock climbing before and was signed up for this experience by Renaissance Club. I…read morewas a bit nervous because I've been out of shape and was having anxiety that I would not be able to climb and all these thoughts in my head about that I would be so weak I can't pull myself up etc etc. I was so worried that I almost cancelled! However, I'm so glad I didn't! Our group was a group of 5, we went through a short class to learn how to put on our harness, and how to tie the rope knots, as well as to control the belay. Once we had learned to manage the ropes we then went to the rock climbing area. My heart was pounding and I was so scared and embarrassed that I wouldn't be able to even get off the ground. Did I mention I'm a bit scared of heights? Our instructor told us about how the climbs are rated, and that around 5 is an easy climb and the higher the number goes the more advanced the climb. The easier areas were being used so we started with trying out an 8. I surprised myself I was able to get up off the ground and up the wall a little, but I psyched myself out and got scared and belayed down. Then we tried another one which I don't remember the number and I was able to get halfway up before psyching myself out and having to go down. Then we got to the easiest one and I told myself I can't psych myself out anymore, I pretended I was stranded on an island and I had to get to the top. LOL. I had sooooooooooo much fun, just focusing and keeping my mind clear, and slowly making my way up the wall. I almost reached the top, but then I looked down LOL and had to go down. Anyways my point of the story is hahaha my experience is funny, but really if you are second guessing yourself and haven't tried it out yet, just try! I left with feelings of adrenaline and exhilaration afterwards. If I could make it almost to the top of a wall without even being very in shape, so can you! I definitely want to come back when I'm stronger! Thank you so much to our instructor who was so calm and patient with us!

It is way bigger and has a ZIPLIIIINE Which sits to the far right side away from the toys! Every time Our kiddos come they have a blast and Heck I WANT TO STAY TILL DANG NEAR CLOSING!! ;-) Besides fun for the kids this location offers Parent's night out where they watch the kids and you get leave, Ladies Paint night which is a hoot, and various activities like parking lot water day and more! This gym is BIG compared to the other one we went to and there is so so much for the kiddos to do! One of the many things I appreciate is that while there are several swings I noticed on days when it is more crowded one or 2 are removed as to avoid kiddos swinging into other kids . However, how the gym is set up makes that less likely if a child walks the perimeter. While not because of the swing but this cute horse ramp thingy My owned kid mowed down a parent who was in her line of fire and it was both HILARIOUS (Me and the mom cracked up about it) I apologized to the mom and moved the toys back to where Ms. Tiffany originally had it -which would have avoided the accident in the first place (So my bad :-) ) I have so many things to say about how much I Enjoy We Rock The Spectrum! But the main thing is I can tell this place is run with love, integrity, and passion! We Will be back soon! *The Long Beach location closed a while ago which is why I am comfortable comparing the two. If they were still in business I would not have mentioned them.

Update 2: the owner has all ready edited their unprofessional comment towards me twice since they…read moreposted it. I received two Yelp notifications today, 5 days after the fact. Despite the edit, they are still making up lies about my child. They've also changed the language of the original comment. For example, from "my son" to "the owners son" I guess in an attempt to make it seem like someone else wrote it. It's weird if you ask me. Nobody is attacking you. If you deem every negative review as an attack against you then you should hire someone else to manage your social media. It's a bad look. I won't comment any further. Changing your comment towards me and editing it after I've responded to it is another sign of distrust. Hire an attorney and proceed with legal action if you think I'm lying. I will happily repeat everything I've said under oath and I have a witness. Update: the owner responded and essentially accused me of lying by saying my child did not get hurt there (she did although it was an accident). If that doesn't show you the level of professionalism at this place then I don't know what to tell you. To address her claims, my daughter was not upset on arriving. She became frustrated in the waiting room while we were waiting to fill out the form. Once she got into the gym she was jumping and shouting for joy. Nice job leaving that out, really helps build trust. The kid on the zip line had to be very close to middle school age. There was another kid close to middle school age as she mentioned who was likely her son. Neither one of those is the kid who stepped over and fell on my daughter. That kid was in elementary school and likely 6 years old or so. The parent even apologized when it happened. I'm guessing your cameras didn't catch that or you are being deceitful, either way it's concerning. Why else would we come in and leave after 7 minutes? I'll stand by my statement that having kids close to middle school age riding on a zip line in an area where autistic toddlers are walking around isn't exactly what I consider safe. There should at least be some padding or something blocking the path. Everything I wrote in the review is true. Instead of calling customers liars, go back and check your cameras in the play area again. My original review: If you have a toddler with autism, I would highly recommend against this place. I am really surprised that it has such a high score. Usually reviews are reliable. We took my 3 year old daughter who has slight autism here so she could check out a new place. They have you sign a liability waiver and I see why. The first thing I noticed is there are a lot of people packed into a tight area. The "gym" is about the size of our living room, maybe slightly bigger. There was a decent number of people in here for a small area. There are kids that are very young, and kids that look like they are close to entering middle school mixed together. They have a zip line, which is nice for older kids, but incredibly dangerous for kids that are toddler age. I would imagine most toddlers with autism cannot participate on the zip line, but easily could stumble into the path of it when an older kid takes off on it creating an incredibly dangerous situation. We had to keep moving our daughter away from the path that it travels as an older kid was riding it non-stop. They have a rock climbing wall, but I imagine it would be pretty hard to climb safely without shoes on (kids and adults have to remove shoes) as the parts that you step on to climb up are incredibly small compared to a normal rock climbing wall. They are about 1/4 of the size of the ones at Anderson Park, just for comparison. I just can't see how that would be comfortable for the child in the slightest. We were there for a whopping 4-5 minutes before an older kid bowled over my daughter and caused her to get hurt. She was sitting on the slide area and the kid just stepped on her and fell on her. Again, it seems like an incredibly bad idea to mix older kids with autism and toddlers with autism. $16 seemed like a fair price and the positive reviews had me excited to take her there. We left after only 4-5 minutes, $16 down the drain. I let the front desk person know this isn't a safe place for toddlers on the way out the door. They should have scheduled times for certain age ranges instead of mixing them all together. I can't think of any other establishment whether it be a daycare, school, therapy, etc where they mix kids of all age ranges together in small area with equipment that could cause possible injury.

It was a colorful mini train with a driver in the engine trailing two train cars with two rows each, just big enough to fit a dozen small children. The kids went nuts for this train. There were too many of them to ride at once, but they took turns for the first few rides until some of them started to get bored and returned to the rest of the party. The remaining die-hards, including my son, kept the train full for the remainder of its contracted time. I think it was there for one hour, and my son was on board for more than 45 minutes. The parking lot was small, and the train had a tight route: two loops followed by a dizzying finale of mini-train donuts. The driver moved fast, swerving and accelerating to delight the children. They were all buckled in, with the driver checking himself before each departure, but it did feel a little bit dicey. I am not shocked that this Yelp page is mostly 5-star reviews, with a smattering of 1-stars due to child endangerment. (There appears to have been an incident in September 2017.) My boy and his friends had a blast, though, and no one was harmed by this hour of Trains on the Move. If you have little thrill seekers and moderate risk tolerance, your kids are guaranteed to love the speedy baby train.

The staff who…read morecome out are on time, friendly, and wonderful with the kids -- everyone always has a great time. My issue isn't with the train or the event day at all, but with the communication and management behind the scenes. After submitting an online inquiry for an upcoming date, I was immediately overwhelmed by the number of follow-ups -- within just a couple of hours, I received at least 7-9 phone calls, six emails, and multiple text messages. I wasn't ignoring anyone; I was simply in a meeting and unable to respond right away. It got so excessive that I eventually texted back asking them to please stop contacting me so much, as I had received all their messages and would respond once I was available. When I did reach out the next day ready to move forward and asked for the payment link, I was met with complete silence. I called twice to follow up and never got a response. This same kind of unbalanced communication happened during my first experience as well -- overly pushy at first, then unresponsive once I was ready to book. Another ongoing issue is their payment policy. They insist on payment in full upfront, which I've told them before I'm not comfortable with. Like most vendors we use, I prefer to pay a deposit to reserve the date and then pay the remaining balance on the day of service. They were not flexible with this, which makes the process unnecessarily stressful. I really wanted to give them another try, assuming my first experience might have been a one-off situation, but unfortunately it seems to be a consistent pattern. Whoever is running their office or handling bookings is highly unprofessional, and it's disappointing because the on-site team and service itself deserve better representation.
