The processes are easy, though parking in the area can be rough. Come early! The kayak rental was very affordable at $12 per hour per person. Prices have increased, though, so now it costs $14 per hour per person. The first time you rent a paddle board, it costs about $50 for the hour, and you must complete the orientation. However, with subsequent visits, you get a discount for being in the system, which turns out to be about $26 per hour. The rental equipment is of decent quality and what you would expect over years of daily use. The staff has been friendly with us, and it's great to get out on the water. You launch right there off the beach into the canals! There are restrooms available right on site, as well as outdoor showers to rinse off all the sand on your legs when you're finished. For the convenience, we definitely recommend Kayaks on the Water! Fair warning, though, it can take over an hour to complete the loop for the average paddler.

They also have a key to the bathroom, which is around the corner. Even though we were 20 minutes early, they let us get on the water bike after a quick instruction. Riding on the water bikes was really fun! We rode around the bay and the water was choppy sometimes but as you get inside the bay, the water is calmer. A trick is that if you feel the water is too choppy, start paddling - the water will calm down with the pedaling. There are several boats around which provided live music for us. The bike has two cup holders and a front container to put your phones and small stuff in. We had a great time. They share a parking lot with nearby restaurants which offer 3 hours of free parking. That is a huge plus for something near the beach! We will be back next time to try a glow ride.

I have not worked out in several months and am overcoming a few health concerns. My girlfriend on the other hand is extremely athletic! Pilar introduced us to SUP in a way that allowed us to have fun from the moment we hit the water and enjoy together. Pilar provides us with clear instruction that allowed us to push ourself at our own pace but respected my limitations. We were provided with well maintained and sanitized gear. Parking was secure and easy, here in San Pedro. Pilar exudes positive energy. Getting a refund has been difficult. I've made many attempts to get a hold of someone at the business and via email. No one picks up the phone and I've not received a reply to my email. When a company cancels a service, issuing a prompt refund should be straightforward. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here, and it's created unnecessary stress. I would recommend being cautious when booking and confirming their refund policy ahead of time. Hopefully they improve their customer service and how they handle cancellations in the future.

I'm sure they note it somewhere along the way in the paperwork but I missed it and asked later when I saw the charge which they cleared up right away. The map is helpful as you may lose reception out on the water. Low tide gives you a more fun experience than high tide as you can't go under some of the bridges if the tide is too high. Check your tide chart before booking or ask them. Nigel's restaurant there seems really fun too crazy use of a space that was just a sidewalk a few years ago. Definitely a great spot to take off from and lots of restaurant options near the dock.

The table on our duffy was a bit wobbly and the motor was pretty slow. Full throttle was about 3 miles an hour. At least we felt safe driving it around Naples. We brought plenty of snacks and drinks. The Bluetooth connection worked fine but the speakers were a little blown. Despite the condition of the duffy, we still had a blast. The staff was very nice checking us in, getting us started and parking the duffy. I'd totally do this again!
