I was given an estimated time that they'd be ready, and I was there just before that time to pay for my order. I eventually got our food, but only because I approached the inside pickup window after *30 minutes of waiting* and asked one of the staff about my order. (Turns out it was done a good while earlier, but just set to the side in the prep area. Does the team not know to check the dining area for call-in customers? ) During that 30-minute delay, I witnessed the following: * Other customers also waiting a long time for their orders, particularly in the drive-through line. I had a clear view of the monitor that shows how well they're doing with drive-through order efficiency, and it was frequently displaying multiple indicators of poor performance. At the worst part, there were four cars in line on the display, all colored red (they start green when the order is first placed, and turn red after some time has elapsed indicating that the team should have delivered the order already). * A dine-in customer complained about something wrong with the order for his family. * Another take-out customer got his order, left, then returned several minutes later because an item was missing. Speaking of which, I ended up doing the same. After arriving at our hotel and unpacking everything, I found that one of the requested salad dressings was missing, and there were also no utensils in the bag. Back I went to get the missing items. I've ordered from Firehouse Subs in other regions, and have never had service this bad. The only thing saving this review from being just one star was the food. It was exactly what we wanted... ...eventually.
