The place was hopping with both dine-in and take-out orders, but there was an employee hustling to clean the tables on this Friday about 1PM. I managed to find a clean table and filled my cup while waiting (they have a Pepsi fountain machine). To sample a couple of different sandwiches I got a small Chicken Chipotle Crunch and small Grilled Italian with a side of fries. I should have gone with mini as small is quite generous and filling (see pictures). I liked the fried onions in the Chicken Chipoltle Crunch and most of the favor came from the sauce. The tomatoes on both sandwiches were a bit too pale and tasted watery. The Grilled Italian was definitely the more flavorful of the two with great seasoning on the meats. The bread was nice and soft. The side of fries were of the coated variety and were fresh, hot, and crisp with the breading having a great seasoning. All the hard surfaces and glass windows made for quite the echo chamber, and even with half the tables occupied the noise level was quite considerable. There is a variety of seating with bar, booth, and table (different sizes).

I'm torn on this one…read more The sandwiches were pretty good but I just felt the whole thing was overpriced. The vibe is basically a subway but prices like firehouse or more. It wasn't very clean and barely any customers inside - mostly online orders Took about 20 mins for 3 sandwiches & large Philly cheesesteak fries The fries was such a tiny portion for the price, like half the box was filled & the meat was tough & dry The pastrami sandwich was really good though. The wagyu cheese steak was meh in my opinion, meat didn't really taste like wagyu But 3 sandwiches & fries $60ish seemed like a lot for the quality / quantity There's plenty of parking in the shared lot

Definitely recommend. -Chicken tenders are also of good quality. -Burnt ends are good. -Hush puppies were just ok. Now the bad..... I like eating here, but the bad most of the time keeps me from eating here more... - the parking. It is painful to try and get a spot. I've seen fights almost break out. I can't express enough how bad the parking is

Good place, especially given the area…read more For downtown Dallas, GA, it's an up-class Americana place: the menu is burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches, tacos, etc. The food is well done. They have numerous gluten-free options, and they're careful and particular about not mixing gluten-free and gluten foods. Grateful for their particular care. Portion size is fairly large; we ate there for a late lunch, and I didn't eat the rest of the day. I recommend the Frisco burger; it was delicious, good-sized. Sweet potato fries were great, too. Service is gracious and kind; our server was very on top of keeping our drinks filled, answering questions, and doing it all with a kind attitude. Atmosphere is cool, overall. The building itself clearly used to be some kind of workshop or garage or something, and they've kept enough of that old style and mixed it with a hefty overhaul featuring light, wood, and black trim. The dining room is one big box room lined with booths on one side, a bar on the other, and tables in between. Can be a bit loud, but normal for a restaurant. We went at 2 in the afternoon, and it was still half full, so I imagine you'll expect to wait if you come at peak times. Sign of something good going on here, right? Kids get a menu with a maze and a drawing their can color; they get a three-pack of crayons. Nice touch. Bathrooms are two single-seaters for the whole restaurant, so you might need to wait a moment if you have to go. I didn't see any baby-changing stations, but there is room on the bathroom counter. Prices are a bit high but fair. With a non-alcoholic drink, you're looking at about $20/person before tip. It was the two of us and a child, and our bill was $55 plus tip. All in all a good deal, especially for Downtown Dallas, which could use some upscaling. Worth supporting this business if you like good food, want to help local Dallas, and just generally want an enjoyable time. I wasn't blown away, but I was impressed and pleased. Will probably frequent again. Menu has just the right mix of things you want to try and regular things you'll want to stick to. They do have specials that rotate in and out.

OMG, Cartersville folk listen up!…read more Mike's place has the best sandwich in Cartersville! Walking to Mike's place the first thing that hits you is the smell of the roasting meats in their ovens. The sweet smell of roasting ham and the smell of garlic and spices on the roast beef kicked up my appetite. I ordered a sandwich called the Ferdi. I think it's the best sandwich I ever ate! Served on a soft hoagie roll and stacked with ham, roast beef, shredded cabbage, pickles, a creole mustard and debris. Debris ...You know those little juicy pieces of roast beef at the bottom of the roasting pan... That's "debris" the secrete ingredient in the Ferdi sandwhich that's sets it apart and raises the sandwhich flavor to "over the moon"! Mike Place is a small "hole in the wall" kinda place, one of those hidden jewels. Located at 122 Old Mill Rd. next to the BP gas station in a mostly industrial area. It's worth the time to search this place out. My feeling is that it will be my "go to" place for handcrafted sandwiches.

Mike's Place has all the breakfast essentials, including Louisiana beignets that are topped with powdered sugar, just like the Cafe du Monde. And it just gets better. Burgers and dogs in a variety of fixings, BBQ plates and Po Boys, and a coastal favorite: Shrimp n Grits. They even have hush puppies! Recently I had a craving for a good shrimp bisque. So Chef Mike put on his hat and came up with a half gallon of ecstasy. I had a delicious, authentic shrimp bisque to share with my friends. Mike and Wife Melody, also have special events like a recent crawfish boil on a Friday evening. They offer catering services, and have been know to provide catering in Cartersville for the past 20 years or so. If you want to stop by for breakfast or lunch at unbelievably low prices, you will find Mike's Place tucked away by the BP Station at Old Mill and Erwin Street. You will be glad you did.
