They very seldom returned a text or phone call and when they'd show up, it was always after lunchtime. whatever, but my biggest problem is that in the process of cutting down the trees that I wanted to be removed, he totally destroyed my entire yard. now I am left with the devastation and having to clean up the mess that he left behind. It literally looks like a tornado hit my yard. he scraped my entire yard down, which I did not ask him to do, now my entire yard is mud and there are big chunks of trees laying out that I have pay someone else to clean up. it's a nightmare.

John came out really quickly and gave me an estimate, and he was very professional. I ended up on a waiting list as there were many more urgent trees ahead of mine (trees on houses, etc). It took just over a week to get mine worked in (9/12 was the quote date, and the work was done this morning - 9/21), and he showed up promptly at 8am (the scheduled time). The downed tree was hanging about 15-20 feet over my vegetable garden (it was not fully on the ground), and they were extremely careful in not damaging any of my plants. I was really impressed with how much care they put into their work. There was one small mishap with a trunk coming down on my fence, but while they pulled down the next tree, someone ran to the hardware store to get a new top rail for my fence, and before they left it was back up and nobody will know that it was ever damaged. The big pine they took down was a monster (80+ feet tall), and it fell exactly where he said it would. They cut everything up in small chunks that we can easily move (we requested that we keep all the wood, as we'll use all of it for bonfires over the next year or two). The whole process took right at 2 hours (which is what he originally estimated), and I felt like it went really well. The whole crew was polite (and funny), and I'm definitely recommending him to neighbors that have trees damaged by the storm. I'll likely be bringing him back later on to take a couple more trees down that aren't a problem now, but will be at some point in the future. Definitely highly recommend. He responds quick, he was fair in pricing (maybe he's not the cheapest - although he was the least expensive of the two quotes I did get - but in some instances you really do get what you pay for) I had a couple people call me and tell me that they would quote cheaper, but they never showed up to do so. Bruce showed up within two hours of my call, gave me a very reasonable quote, and said he could call me Monday with a time his crew could come out and do the job. I received a call from Sabrina who said that the crew had finished another job early and if it was alright to show up before lunch. The crew arrived and Bruce started working while his was eating their lunch. Long story short, they were done and gone with 2 hours of arrival and the trees were removed and the area cleared of storm debris. Very reasonable and efficient. My wife and I wanted to have about 10 trees removed around our house (most were hanging over the…read morehouse and posed a threat). Being prudent consumers, we called 5 tree removal companies for estimates. ArborCut was one of them. While showing the trees to "Alex", I had my doubts as to whether he was a qualified arborist. He said some things that were contrary to the way the other arborists had suggested we handle the trees and roots. When I got the estimate it was WAY lower than the other estimates. And, when I asked for proof of insurance he said it didn't have it with him (all 4 of the other companies provided proof at the time of the estimate). I emailed Alex the next day to get proof of insurance and this was his exact response (errors and all): "We can send you insurance certificate after we sign agrement, this is our policy, after we sign the agreement with you, we will send you proof of insurance with your name on it. Actualy we will submit your information to our insurance agent and they will send it to you." This is completely deceitful and unacceptable. Any legitimate, insured company will be happy to provide you with proof. And, I don't even know what he is talking about - liability insurance isn't handled that way. All I can say is - unless you have a tree out in a field that is no risk of falling on something, and you get the company and each of its workers to sign an Indemnity agreement - I would AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
