Cod sandwich (not overly fishy so I liked it) with garlic fries
Jessica C.

They have a big parking lot in the back! They do check your IDs before you enter, so don't forget to bring yours! We sat at a booth and it was comfy. Ordered the Fish cod sandwich with garlic fries. I was expecting garlic sauce but it was garlic powder seasoning. It was good though. My husband got the tofu banh mi (it was a tad too sour from too much pickles) and liked it. We ordered using the QR code but when trying to close the bill out, it had an error. So we had to pay at the counter.

We've been there a couple times and it's a nice spacious historic place. It's a great place to try a few beers. We always snag a booth which has a nice cushion on them with significant space between booth and table. With all the windows it's brighter and around 4pm on the weekend there are some groups with families, people working and bored games. It did not seem too loud in there either. Tip: It doesn't really have table service--rather they have a code for the booth and you can order everything off your phone. They'll bring the food and drinks to you, but you have to get the water (warmish) at the bar and put your plates away. Tip Tip: Before you get in they require IDs, if you are under age/ don't have one you can still sit inside but not outside. From the few times I've gone we always get the nachos, I thought they were pretty delicious.

Had a great time with friends during their trivia night. Pro tip - I would get here a little earlier before trivia starts to snag a good spot to view the trivia screen. The food was great. We ordered nachos, cookies, and the stout cake. All of them were deliciously warm and hit the spot as we snacked on them throughout trivia. There is a wide selection of beer. I didn't get to try any of them this time but am looking forward to trying them on my next visit. Service was efficient. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes for each of the dishes we ordered. There's also a great outdoor patio/backyard in the back for folks to enjoy their drinks with their group at. Will definitely be back!

Came on a rather hot Saturday. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty warm on the inside. You can order AND pay using the QR code on the table or take the menu up to the bar. I like this aspect but it also takes away the convenience of being able to ask questions right at your table or correct incorrect orders. The food was really delicious and the service is quick. The garlic fries aren't anything spectacular. I believe they just sprinkle garlic powder on them. We paid for it with both orders and only received it on one. If you enjoy beer or ciders and a good pub style meal, I would suggest you give it a try.

Not very many parking spots but more parking on the street. You have to wait to be seated but you order at the counter and you either pick up your food or they bring it out. You also bus your own table. Pretty laid back place. Lots of board games there or bring your own. There's also a beer garden in the summer. Plus, a beer club that you can join for $50/ year. The cool part is you get to design your mug, which they keep there for you. Ordered the vegan chili and fish and chips. The chili was really hardy and pretty good. The batter on the fish was light but the fish was a tad dry. The fries were pretty good. I also had the chocolate stout cake - it was the size of a cupcake for $7! Tasted good but not worth the price.

Well my mom wanted to stop for drink/food once i picked her up from the airport - this was my selection. Sunday crowd vibe wasn't bad - even with a small parking lot i was still able to find a spot. Honestly from the look of the building you would think there are two entrance but there's only one which is on the side near the parking lot. I was carded (with my "young looking face") before entering - was offered with options of paper menu or to use QR code. Since i was with my mom - we took paper. Let start off by saying - if you're aren't familiar with QR code not sure if things would go smoothly which i'm thinking about elderly people but i just helped read off the menu. It didn't help my mom left her glasses in the car. (old person smh). Placed our orders - yes you need a plastic card to submit your order because there's no one coming to take your order; severs are only delivering your food and/or drinks. Food was very good and you got a good amount - as of other reviewers stated wine is limited but beer is more popular. I like the option of 4oz pours which range from $2 to $3.50. Would i come back? Sure. Side note - it seems like was here back in 2013 and totally forget but never did a review. Lol! Happy Eating!!!

Stopped in after work and was in need of a good beer and some good food. I love that they now let you order from your table via QR code and you can pay via your phone so there's no hassle of trying to flag down someone to pay. Water is self-serve by the bar as well as to-go boxes. i ordered an apricot sour which was crisp and delicious. For food, I ordered the vegan burger and fries. The pros are that I love a good vegan burger that's made with a homemade patty of quinoa and beans. The con is that it fell apart and they kind of messed up my order because I had wanted a vegan bun but got a pretzel bun. But flavors were pretty good and the fries are always crispy and never soggy!

Hit my 100th tagabrew last week!
Amy W.

I had the week off and was on a mission to collect some tags. I have been here before but sadly I lost about 30 tags that I was originally collecting back in 2015-16. So I have had to return to a lot of places to get my tags. Knowing me, and my disorganized chaos, I will find all the tags I lost, but not until I re-collect them. It's sort of the story of my life. Anyway this entire week has been absolutely gorgeous and this day was no exception! Spring has sprung. I love Michigan but hate being cold, so this was the perfect location to go sit outside and enjoy the weather, a cold beer and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I chose to take a Lyft there, because I could "solemnly swear that I was up to no good"! The Lyft driver could not figure out where to drop me off. The parking lot is in the back and that is where you'll go to enter the building. There is a huge outdoor area to enjoy and you can order on your phone right from the table. There is also a huge indoor area. If you prefer. Got picked up and we were off to get some ypsi tags! I am pretty sure we will be back (even though the lyft there cost me over $200... Thankfully I didn't have to take one home!). If you're in the area, check it out!

First time coming here. I was in the area and I wanted to definitely try something new and I am so happy I came here. For one this place has both great indoor and outdoor seating. I chose outdoor seating. With covid running rampant, they have intergrated this great system (powered by Toast (not literally Toast but an app with the name)) I placed any of my orders seamlessly, kept a tab open, let's me reorder the same thing without digging through the menu. Close your tab without issues! Their vegan burger was great, the prices are very fair, I really recommend their " lil fram" drink . They got plenty of drink varieties though I'd wish they have some Cider options. Parking is great as well. I'd definitely recommend coming back here. You should definitely try this place out.

The patio, surrounded by trees, created a delightful ambiance, and the best part was, we didn't feel the heat at all. Ordering through the app was super convenient, and the service was lightning-fast. The added perk of free parking made things even better, and it was a relief to find that it was kid-friendly. With an extensive selection of beers, there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and the restrooms were clean. If the weather didn't cooperate, the indoor seating was equally fantastic. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to visit again!

Poor entrance staff service, caused me to miss last call for food. Also, manager did not assist bartenders/servers who were swamped at bar.

This used to be one of my go-to places, which makes this review really disappointing to write…read more I came here regularly, knew many of the staff by name, tipped very well, and genuinely liked the food. Unfortunately, my orders were wrong a surprising amount of the time. Sometimes it was something bigger, like no pesto on a pesto chicken sandwich, and sometimes it was smaller, like fries instead of tots. I was often patient and understanding about it because I liked the place and the people who worked there. A couple of months ago, after another issue with my food, a bartender dismissed my concerns and told me he had "never seen a more consistent kitchen." He also implied that I had said the kitchen "couldn't make anything good," which I never said. The food is good when it comes out correctly. My issue was not the quality of the food. My issue was the repeated mistakes and the way I was spoken to when I brought them up. What made it especially frustrating is that this bartender had not been present for any of the past issues, yet spoke to me as if my experience was invalid. I did not appreciate being treated like the problem when I had been a loyal, kind, and generous customer for a long time, even if he personally wasn't aware of that history. I'm genuinely sad to no longer be welcome at a place I used to enjoy so much, especially because I liked many of the other staff members. But I am thankful that I don't have to spend my money somewhere that handles customer concerns this way. Because of this experience, I probably will not be visiting this restaurant or the other restaurants associated with this group. My money is earned through my energy, and I'd rather spend it somewhere that values my business and treats customers with basic human decency.

I really want to love Fraser's…read more I dig dive bars. I'm into local neighborhood spots. I enjoy beer and burgers and deep fried things. While I'm not that into sports, I can appreciate a good sports bar. Perhaps that's the critical piece here. This seems to be a really fun place to watch a Michigan football game on one of the 10,000 TVs. Even a minor game where not much is at stake will have patrons cheering at every moderately good play. But Brandon A. suggested Fraser's has "great burgers, excellent beer selection, great drinks at fantastic prices and great service...as long as you abide by one simple rule: don't be an asshole." That hasn't been my experience. They have adequate burgers, but there are significantly tastier and cheaper burgers available in town. The beer list is fine, but I have yet to find anyplace in Ann Arbor with an actually excellent beer selection. Admittedly I'm spoiled by my favorite small tap room which is several states over, and I miss deeply. However, it did give me an appreciation for what it means for a place to have an excellent beer selection. My Euchre Pils was $7 and served in a plastic cup. Maybe I'm old, but that does not feel like a fantastic price. And the service? On my most recent visit it took a long time for anyone to come by with menus, and an even longer time before anyone returned to take a food order. I tried flagging down a server, but none were making eye contact. It appears the servers work in some kind of zone defense, as every part of our experience seemed to be handled by a different person. It was uncomfortable to the point where we felt unwelcome and considered leaving. But we had already been there so long we were committed to seeing it out. For the record, I'm not an asshole. I still tipped over 25% on the food. I can't say I'm a fan of the 4% fee to use a credit card, or the $.75 charge for a little side of mayo for the fries. All told, it was $50 for two burgers, one beer, and an onion ring up-charge. Not exactly a cheap meal. So far I've braved the burgers, I've sampled the sliders, and sunk my teeth into a sandwich. I've tried the fries and onion rings. Everything was just kinda okay, but nothing has risen to the level of "ooh that's good". What am I missing? I want to love the place. It's close to where I live, which makes it mighty convenient, but unless someone can offer me a compelling reason to give it another try, I'm unlikely to return.
