I must say that I thoroughly enjoy Arbolado Park! It's probably one of my favorite parks in Walnut Creek aside from Heather Farms Park. It's located all the way up Treat blvd off of Arbolado drive. There always plenty of parking available, and if both parking lots are full, you can almost always find parking on the street which isn't too far away. This park has two play structures for the kids situated right next to each other with plenty of slides, monkey bars, swings, and other fun kiddie contraptions. There are picnic tables, shaded areas, barbecue pits and grassy sections all throughout. There's a huge field right next to the play structures where families can setup for picnics or barbecues. I saw a group of people setting up slip n' slide's and small pools for the kids today which I thought was really fun! I just recently discovered that this park has basketball courts, tennis courts, and a separate field for soccer and football. If you are coming down Arbolado drive from Treat blvd, you can access the sports sections by parking in the first parking lot and walking along the trail or parking in the second parking lot which is located right next to the second field. Here, you will also find restrooms and water fountains as well. Perhaps the most attractive part of this park in my opinion is that it can be accessed through the Ygnacio Canal Trail. I absolutely love walking this trail, and I have walked from its starting point in Concord down to this park many times. It's a great trail to walk your dogs on and then to relax at the park once you reach it. On weekends and Holidays, this park gets filled with people all day long. However, the people who frequent this trail are very pleasant, and the park is so large that you never feel like it's overly crowded. Arbolado park is an awesome park to explore if you are looking for a nice park in the Walnut Creek area!

Visiting for a soccer game and it happened to be picture day for one of the local leagues. Still managed to find a parking space though. Fields are in pretty good condition. Bathrooms were clean and they have plenty of water fountains including the kind with spouts for filling bottles.

Love this park. They have a separate toddler playground, sand zone, and fun little climbers. Arbolado is a great place to spend the day picnicking. There are tennis courts, basketball courts and a giant soccer field. Beautiful 26-acre park set under the Diablo foothills.

While this park is a bit off the beaten path, I will say there is so much to do here for your kiddo (or let's be honest, you too haha). I feel this park has a lot of space and seems to be pretty safe, with Astro turf that I tend to not see at most smaller parks. There is plenty of parking across the street and nearby ~ with walking paths, a community center across the way, and picnic tables that we've seen many birthday parties/gatherings at. There are swings for all ages which for us right now is very nice, and it seems the area is split between age range which is also cool to see. There are fun 'hills' to climb with cardboard to slide down (this is where the Astro turf comes into play), and plenty of slides/equipment of all kinds for interactive and solo play. There are pretty nice 'larger' entertaining pieces of equipment (like a pirate ship that moves/shakes) for the older kiddos, and it's just overall a pretty epic playground to see/be apart of. Well done, can't wait to be back!

It's the perfect spot for a picnic, a party, a walk, for dogs, to take your kids... just about everything! Lots of big grassy fields and tall trees that provide a ton of shady areas. There are tons of kids play areas with slides, swings, and other rides that I'm still trying to figure out?! Yeah... some of those rides look a little strange, but I digress... They have picnic tables galore! You can reserve one of the picnic areas for special events and parties. The last time I was here, someone was throwing a party for their little girl here. It's truly the best spot to do it at! You have a grill and so many tables to host people. This park is connected to a small swim center that has a pool and the most adorable little water slides! It's a hop and a skip away from the Lindsay Wildlife museum. There's a basketball, tennis, and volleyball court on site and restrooms are easily accessible. What I love about this park is that one of my favorite walking and hiking trails runs right through it: the Briones to Mount Diablo Trail! You can park at Larkey Park and take this trail all the way to Acalanes Ridge and even to the backside of Briones Regional Park! It's apart of Walnut Creek open space. There are a few other local walking trails that connect here as well. On nice sunny days, this park fills up with a ton of locals but it never feels overcrowded. Sometimes they have community activities that can be seen on their posted calendar. There's a small parking lot off of 1st and Buena Vista Street but there's also plenty of street parking on many of the side streets. It's a great local park with tons of activities.

I don't tend to come here much as the grass bothers my allergies, but it's a lovely walk in Fall and hooks right up to the nearby trail.

Generally it's a nice little playground. A couple of things though, I think I went when it was a little warm, it had this strange smell of either melted crayons or microwaved plastic. Something didn't sit right. The other thing was that I noticed that there were a lot of different trucks driving by (garbage, moving, transport, vans, regular trucks). Maybe people just drive a lot of trucks in the area, I'm not too sure. There's a lot of shade outside of the park but inside could get pretty warm. I'm not sure if I'd come back, but at least I know it's there!
