Loved by our kid and us alike. We visited first time in our son's first year photo shoot. Didn't visit the children's play area then. Dog park seemed busy then. Quite famous for the photo shoot locations. I was reluctant to go thinking it wouldn't offer much. But it has little water play area and it was absolute delight. Even on a comparatively chillier day our kid was thrilled.! We enjoyed the barn themed slides and climbing wall. Biggest points to the swings. I and wife haven't had this much fun time in any other park. The whole time we all enjoyed along with our baby. The dog park was also crowded. They have shaded area to picnic and we have seen families having birthday celebrations. Very high on our revisit list. read more

Hap Magee is always a great time! My little guy loves it. They have two playgrounds. One is for toddlers and the other one is larger for kids over 3. They have a large sand pit area with a digger. Swings for babies and larger swings for the older kids. a fun splash pad and trials all around for walking. Pack a lunch and have a picnic! There is plenty of grassy areas and benches to relax at. Keep in mind splash pad doesn't turn on until 12pm and it gets crowded around that time with camps coming through. read more

Hap Magee Ranch Park is a great space that somehow manages to house a small water park, barbecue area, dog park(s), and huge hill that gives a fantastic view of the resident black and white alpaca that seems to live in the opposite hills. Having never visited before the honey and I checked out the bridge leading into the nearby residential area then walked the length past the gazebo, around the water play area up to the two dog runs - one for small dogs and one for big dogs. All in all, Hap Magee seems like a pretty cute little park. read more

My boy is under 5, and this is the best small splash pad park for little ones on a hotttt day. If your kid is older than 5, I'd go to the bigger splash pads--Dublin or Concord. Even without the splash pad this has to be our favorite over the hill park (we're from Alameda). Great place to host a kids bday party/event. read more

What a lovely park! We saw that this park existed online. It was a really hot day so we traveled here to check it out. Upon arrival the first thing you notice is that the parking is easy and clean. We left Lacy at home this time, but the dog park here is very very nice. With one area for small dogs and one for big dogs. The water play area is what brought us here and it was worth it! For the smaller children it is perfect!! After talking to some other folks playing with the kids I learned the majority of them were nannies. Yes it's that kind of neighborhood. Very well landscaped and it felt safe. All play equipment was newer and it great shape. There is also a gorgeous garden here. There are some more parks to check out on our growing list, but this one will get a revisit, next time I will bring Lacy too. read more

We were in Danville for a event. I wanted to get my dogs out to run around so that they would be a little tired. I saw that this park was highly rated. It's a amazing park. It has both a large and small dog side. Both sides have water and poop bags. We went to the large dog side . It's massive. Some bark around the edges but almost a full acre of fresh soft green grass. Since I don't have a yard,my dogs were in heaven. Even though there were plenty of big dogs,my boys had no problems. There's plenty of shade and benches. The small dog side is really small compared to the big dod side. The only downside to this great park is towards the back end of the park. There's a large patch of thistle weeds growing. I was afraid that my dogs may step on them and get a thorn in their paws read more

I haven't actually been in the dog park, I Just train my dog around the dog park and the entire park. Looks very well kept, clean, and nice! There is are separate areas for small dogs and big dogs which is nice. There is also a play ground area for kids, picnic tables, beach volleyball, water play area, and a large field. read more

This is one of my favorite dog parks in the Valley. I took my 14-year-old dog to the park and he was trying to keep up with the young pups. I know he's 14 and we're on borrowed time, but to see him living his best life makes me happy. The parks are split into large and small dog parks. There's grass in the small park and benches all around. Unfortunately, the park will be down for the season from December 1 for the season (est. 3 months). They usually do maintenance work in preparation for next season. On our last visit, the timing couldn't be better because there was a broken water line which meant, no water for the dogs, and the restrooms were out of service. read more

***BEWARE SUSPICIOUS PERSON*** We had visited this park one time before and really appreciated the splash pad area for our littles, however, before visiting again and on our way over for the second time, I happened to check updated Yelp reviews. I came across a couple recent ones mentioning a man with no children has repeatedly made appearances at this park. When we arrived, I was on the lookout for him and as I was walking with my toddler in a stroller, he was situated on the grassy area across the splash pad just staring at all the kids while they were in their bathing suits and playing in the water. Our three-year-old daughter was also there at the splash pad with my husband. I alerted my husband of the situation and we kept a close eye on him. Because there were a lot of kids there from a baby shower event, we alerted a couple of the other Dads that this man was lurking around. Eventually, I believe the man suspected myself and others had an eye on him and so he got up, filled water bottles and then started using them as free weights as he walked along the perimeter of the entire park. He would even disappear for a while and then come back into sight. I saw him then by the parking lot making small talk with an unsuspecting parent with young children. The whole thing was very creepy. Supposedly, this man has repeatedly frequented this park and because there is a sign there that all adults in the park should be with a child, something must have gone down and/or law enforcement is aware of such persons and put up signage. Please be on the lookout for this man and immediately call local police so there is no danger to your children or yourselves. Be extra vigilant and do not leave your young ones out of sight. It was a frightening experience for us and I do not believe we will be returning to this nice park simply for our peace of mind and safety. read more

My dog had a great time here at the park! I came here to meet up with friends for a doggie play date and it went swell! My pup was attacked by a big dog so he naturally gets really nervous and scared around big dogs. Hoeever, we've been trying to socialize him as much as possible and he is doing a lot better. This park is great for this opportunity to socialize him! There were so many dogs in the big dog park, not many in the small dog park which is fine because my dog can get overwhelmed if there's too many of them. But I loved how the areas are divided by a fence which my tiny dog can look across. While having fun with his little friends, he can observe and look at the bigger dogs play with others on the other side which I think is very helpful for his social skills. I can't wait to come back here with Roo so he can continue getting used to seeing big dogs playing around and meeting a few of them too! read more

When here two walk take two dogs that my wife and I were dog sitting for friends in Alamo. Loved the fenced in area. It was great to let the dogs run free outside for a long while and run their batteries down. We had a two year old and a 14 year old. The older dog was running the show while there. Cool ranch theme playground. All structures are made to match the theme. Restrooms were open. Lots of open field to allow for social distancing. However, the playground areas are small. The crowds started about 30 mins after we arrived. We were gonna be by 1:30 due to too many people. Nice surrounding area with lots of walking trails. The best place to bring the kids on a hot summer day! My kids played for hours!! The water pad was the highlight!

We were super bummed to see the canine coral appears to be closed. Not sure when they are going re-open it as everything's is fenced in. The children's playground though is perfect for tots and big kids alike. There's a smaller tot section and then there's a larger play stricter immediately adjacent. Picnic tables nearby the playground. On the other side of the park is a huge expansive grassy area perfect for flag football, soccer practice for littles, and picnic with friends and family complete with a gazebo. Parking is plentiful and bathrooms are very clean! Thank you for taking sip help good care of this park. We need it in times like these where parks seem to be the only place we can get some fresh air outside of home! read more

The dog park has two enclosed area separating the small and large dogs and there's lots of space for the dogs to run around and play. Hap Magee was recommended by a photography club friend, and I must admit that it is a very well taken care of park. There are several sections: two playgrounds by age, two dog parks by size, a beautiful bridge that spans a creek, and a grassy field. My photography clubs (work and church) met here for a joint photo walk, and the dog owners were really gracious about letting us photograph their dogs. You can tell they know each other well. They all talk to each other to catch up on the day and know who is missing for that day/time. I would say that your dogs might get dirtier here than other parks in the sense that post-rain, there's a lot of muddy areas to tromp around. Still, I had a great time photographing the fuzzy-wuzzies. read more

#10 I cannot say enough great things about this dog park. We came here today for a Husky Meet Up to try and socialize with other Husky owners. Yes, my puppy is a Pomsky, but that makes her half Siberian Husky (looks and personality) and half Pomeranian (size). Anyway, the group invited us and I'm so happy. We got to the park and there were so many people, so many dogs and so much play space. I thought it was heaven and I'm not even a dog! They have separate areas for dogs under 20 lbs and also a large playground and picnic area for kids and families. I met several other dog owners besides the Husky parents. This review is for the doggo park only. We recently moved 15min away, and have been checking out the dog parks in the area. The space itself is great! Lots of room for dogs to roam and also obstacles at the far end for agility activities. Someone said that this park closes for the winter Dec 1 to April 1, I believe, so we won't be coming by again for awhile. We were here for about an hour today, and our experience was drastically different in the first and second halves. First 30min: - about 30 dogs total - 90% of humans were not wearing masks (not exaggerating) - lots of unfixed misbehaving larger breeds (German Shepherds, Huskies, etc.) with inattentive owners. These dogs were very aggressive in dominating, humping, and tackling other dogs without any intervention by their owners. If your dog is misbehaving, it is your job to step in and teach them proper manners. It is not other dog owners responsibility to pull your humping dog off theirs repeatedly. Our dog is fixed, so not sure why these dogs were so enthralled with him. Second 30min: - about 10 dogs total, after most of the earlier dogs left - 90% of humans wearing masks (nice!) - very well-behaved and friendly dogs of all shapes and sizes, from Mr Future the bulldog to Murphy the 150lb Newfoundland. There were a few tussles and normal dog behavior, but the owners immediately stepped in to take responsibility for their dogs. This is how owners at the dog park should be acting. Based on the first 30min, I was ready to leave a 1-2 star review, but the dogs/owners of group 2 really were fun and pleasant. Guess it just depends what kind of dogs/owners are there when you go. I've been to 4 different Dog Parks my area and this is the best. This place opened just a few years ago, so it's still fairly new. There are plenty of parking that's located right in front of the entrance. There are two separate parks for the small & the larger dogs, although it's a longer walk if you have a smaller pooch. The park itself is big, but not as large as the one located in San Ramon. It does have grass, but with your usual area of dead patches. The best part of this park is that there are plenty of trees, which means plenty of shade! This is a major perk since I usually let my dog run around and socialize with other dogs, while I stay cool underneath the shade. If you don't have a dog, there's a huge area where you can play volleyball, have a picnic, large playground, open grass for organize games, and trails where you can jog or walk your dog. They also have a public restroom for your convenience. This park is the definition of "Family Friendly"! It represents exactly what the city of Danville is all about! read more

I went back, this time with my 22 month old. The play structures are older but sufficient. I really like the sandbox is shaded by the big tree, making it cool during the hot mornings. I didn't like that a bird pooped on me but that's life. The kids here are well behaved and the moms and nannies are very nice. Parking is easy. There isn't shade over the play structures and on a day that was over 100° it quickly became too hot to play on them. No water play this year because of the drought. It's not my first choice for parks but it's nice and convenient when in the Danville area. read more

What a great, safe, quiet park! It has everything you need for babies to toddlers. The play structures are on a soft turf (no splinters), there is a small splash pad, sand box, picnic tables, and restroom all in the same vicinity! Lots of trees, trails, and a garden on the property. There is also a large dog park and lawn area for running around. All the parents and older kids were friendly and watched out for each other. What an adorable, fun-filled park this is! My son was ecstatic to find a park with a splash pad! We got him changed, and he ran as fast as he could into the water. Hours of fun to be had in this alone. The park itself is also well kept, with both a 2-5yo play structure, a 5-12yo structure, and a large sand pit. The farm theme is cute. The teeter totter and merry-go-round are fun features I rarely find anymore. Parking is ample and free! The park itself is set back from any roads or parking lots, making it safe and stress free. This is pretty nice park with a pretty big white gazebo, bridge, nice playground area, tree stumps, and very green grass with trees. Plentiful of parking available. I was here last Saturday for a photosession as my client chose this spot. I ended up staying after the photosession to paint my demo before work so I was able to paint while perched up on a tree stump in the park which was different type of scenery versus my usual location of painting at home. read more
