Their matcha is not too bitter or grassy and without any syrups, you can really enjoy the matcha purely for its matcha taste. I am not a coffee drinker so cannot speak to their coffee, but they have a lot of variety of coffees from different parts of the world, which I think is very cool! Everything about this space reminded me of an Apple Store. It took a long time to get my drinks but I did get 4 drinks to go. The interior design is very sleek and modern--all futuristic curves and pristine wood paneling. Didn't really care for it--yes, it was probably top quality green powder, but the taste was nonexistent. This matcha isn't sweetened [which was a plus]. But the lack of flavor would not make me return. Very slim selection of pastries, which are really an after thouht in this place. I'd skip and go to a bakery if you're craving a bite. Just a few types of croissants available. At 12:15pm, they only had one of each left [what was in the display case]. I got the $6.50 everything croissant with feta cheese and it was just okay. Not good, not bad. It'll hold you over if you're feeling the stir of hunger, but I wouldn't spend money here on pastries, and would much rather go to a place that specializes in baked goods. They offer a variety of roasts if you wanna get a little bit more specific, but if you just want a very well, made a latte of any sort this is the place to go. Unlike many other coffee spots in this area, you can actually come in here and sit down. The benches are pretty comfortable and the ambience is nice and relax versus your immediate proximity to Time Square outside. Went here in the early morning for a coffee and tried their Kyoto Latte--it was so fragrant and the taste was strong and full. The first time I tried this coffee brand was in Asia, but I had a Kyoto Latte iced and wasn't really too impressed with it. Someone recommended getting it hot as it would be better, so here I am. The cashier is at the front of the oval centered counter, so the line will shoot out of the door. Would have make more sense to have it in the back so the line could stay in the shop, just my two cents. At least there's seating on both sides while you wait for your drink. Overall the drink is smooth, not too sweet like most lattes. Would come back to try the other lattes on their menu when the line is not super long. They totally gaslight me. They seem to sell primarily coffee drinks with a lot of sugar in them. I asked for my latte with no sweetener and I got it only to discover it was crazy sweet. They told me it was the mind of cow milk they used and they could remake the drink for me with oat milk and charge me again this time oat milk would be a dollar more (it was already super pricey for a small). As I took my drink to leave, they were having a discussion about the drink in someone else's hands if it belonged to me or someone else. My whole office agreed it was very sweet.
