Our air conditioner broke during the recent heat wave with brutal record high temps in Orange County. I called Ali at ARA HVAC & Air conditioning. Luckily, Ali was in the neighborhood and was able to squeeze me in. Turns out that mice had chewed through the insulation and taping surrounding the AC wiring and actually chewed the electrical wiring that caused the AC to stop working. Ali fixed the AC and installed insulation and retaped the unit. I'm assuming that the work that Ali did was customary for qualified HVAC technicians but what makes Ali special is his attention to neatness and detail and he is very easy to work with and has fair pricing. We lost more than $6K..Faulty workmanship in our office HVAC system. Upon inspection of a certified company we had to hired, the company found the main lines to the unit were improperly wire nutted together. One wire nut was incorrectly installed, causing the wires to overheat, catch fire, and short out the entire system's control boards. Additionally, the indoor motor's low voltage wiring was shorted, and the SAVANT thermostat was blown and shorted in two places. Both the main PC board and defrost board were also damaged, with the defrost board having a blown capacitor. We reached out to them several times with not respond. read more

I really appreciate Ali's honesty. Any repair company can be good at what they do but it is always hard to find a company that's truly honest. I am so happy to have found Ali. We sold our home and just had a home inspection done. The inspection showed that our 4 year old AC unit wasn't reaching 20 degree differential. I don't even know what that means but Ali took his time explaining how my AC exactly works and that humidity can effect the degree differential. Extremely expensive, quick response time. Called Ali and he came within one hour to replace ICM271 control board and Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat. The control board sells for $51.90 at Walmart, the thermostat is $60.00 at Hone Depot. Ari charged me a total of $690.00 for these two parts and simple installation that took him well less than one hour. A very expensive lesson learned. read more

He came again yesterday because excessive water was coming out of my secondary water line of the ac unit and that is only an emergency if the primary line is clogged.
