During the entire lengthy and complex treatment, Dr. Foley has demonstrated in-depth professional knowledge, attentiveness, and highly efficient surgical skills combined with a gentle humanistic approach. Dr. Foley never hesitated to spare time to explain a treatment plan and options associated with it in plain English. Dr. Foley establishes a trusting relationship with his patients that makes them feel comfortable and takes away stress and tension typically associated with surgery. Our special thanks to Lindsey Dirksen, who is assisting Dr. Foley with medical procedures in addition to running the Austin Vein and Vascular Clinic front office. When we experienced some issues with our medical insurance, Lindsey has gotten actively involved in communicating with the insurance office and was instrumental in resolving this complication. Austin Vein and Vascular Clinic staff are very inviting and attentive to your needs. They have created a pleasant inviting atmosphere in the office that makes you feel very positively reassured about ongoing treatment. We highly recommend Dr. Foley and his assistant Lindsey Dirksen for all your vein and vascular treatment needs.

A seriously credible vein surgeon…read more He is honest. He listens. If his recommedation is different than yours he will take as long as you need to explain the choices available to you. You only do what he says after you have considered all of the other options and decided to follow his plan. Side options will always be on the menu - and you will always have alternative choices available. * * * My leg was not standard and it posed major obstacles under the skin. The veins were all convoluted like balls of yarn. It was hard for the doctor to get to where he had to make his changes. Other veins got worked into the deal getting treatments that paralleled those happening in the main operation. Other views were blocking the view and blocking the operation making the procedure complicated and painful The anaesthesioligst who was Dr Brenner himself had to put anaesthesia is some unexpected places. They coundn't get everything frozen or sleepy like they wantd to. So that procedure was far more painful than normal and far more painful than expected. All of the other operations have been normal making them both comfortable and effective. Veins were located in the right place and they did what they were told. So I had three operations on my right leg and a fourth is planned to finish old business. Results: The operation is meant to treat edema. The swellling and adema have gone down much more slowly that would be the case in a normal operiation. The known normal operations have generally had the desired results. My leg that was NOT operated on has also shown improvement That could mean none of my operations did anything However, I am getting fatter and that could make things worse in both legs. So I am inclined to give Dr Brenning credit for the changes in both legs. When the body feels fluid flowing differently in one part of the body, it can steer other parts to make the same innovation. * * * All in all, my operations have been of mixed effectiveness ... But I think Dr Brenner is fine. I think my legs are messy, weird and make it hard for him to work. I see clear and unquestionable signs of improvement. My rate of improvement is slower than what you get in the text books. My read would be if Brenner can get good results with a mess like me - he should be able to do good things for you too. And he does give you choices. You will know what you are choosing an what will happen. Most people are normal and most should have simple wonderful good results under his care.

I have gone through two procedures with the doctor the first one was on the lane with the discolored foot and the procedure really helped with the discoloration and the fatigue I was filling in my leg. Wait time was related to scheduled arrival and they were fine. I always bring a book because as an old Army guy, I tend to come early. The technicians have all been great. Unfortunately I'm lowering my review to 3-Stars because of the issue I'm going to mention next. I recently had to undergo two exams over the past two weeks, and the staff at the offices were absolutely wonderful--professional, kind, and attentive. However, my issue lies with the phone scheduling experience. During the three or four calls I made to schedule and cancel appointments, I encountered significant difficulty understanding the representatives due to extremely thick accents. I often had to ask them to repeat sentences multiple times just to comprehend basic information. Clear communication is essential, especially when dealing with important medical appointments. Given the substantial costs associated with these tests, I believe the phone staff should have a level of English proficiency that ensures smooth and efficient communication. I hope this is something that can be addressed moving forward.

I just spent 5 intense days in this wonderful facility for removal of a massive gallbladder. It was…read morequite an ordeal and I'm not gonna pretend I remember every moment perfectly because I was being given IV pain medication. First of all... Donna, my ER nurse was amazing. She is so easy to talk to, personable, knowledgeable... and she can sure hit a vein! They once called her up to my hospital room to insert a new IV and I was thrilled to see her again! I've had previous experience with Donna and she's always wonderful. I had two doctors. My surgeon, Dr. Alex Santos, is amazing doctor! Performed a very difficult removal of a gallbladder the size of a baseball. Very attentive. The on-site doctor, Dr. Laney, is probably one of the most caring doctors I have ever encountered in a hospital. He was always nearby. Great bedside manner. You can tell this man truly loves helping people. My nurses were like superheroes. They did everything they could to make sure I was as comfortable as possible during a time when I was experiencing the worst pain of my life. I can't say enough. James handled my first (and most intense) night like a champion. He even had me doing breathing exercises with him. He was born to do what he does. I can't thank him enough! The other nurses were all wonderful with the exception of one! The last nurse I had, Dan, was the polar opposite of every other nurse. Dan was beyond rude. I fell that he chose the wrong profession. He did and said so many ugly things, I don't even have the energy to type it all! But he shouldn't be a nurse. I wouldn't even want that man making me a latte. For now I will assume Dan is gone, or he was having the worst day of his life, because so many other ppl here need 5 stars. But he would get 1. The woman who made my meals was also darling! She found out I was vegan and after a day... she had done her research and added things to the menu special just for me! Just above and beyond! But of all the staff, the one who holds my heart is the Tec, Curtis! Curtis was there for me through it all. He was kind, compassionate, witty, caring, and he was ahead of everything that was happening. Always making sure I had what I needed and was doing what I needed to do. He even helped me walk the halls during recovery. I will miss him dearly and hope I can somehow thank him for being there with me through something so difficult. Thank you Curtis! You're my MVP. And thank you to the entire staff (not Dan) for everything you did for me! I will only use this hospital from here on.

100 stars if I could Truly the best medical care I've ever…read morereceived! I came here based on reviews because when you're in pain you want to be nurtured & treated well. Their staff was exceptional & went beyond that. Oddly enough for a hospital it felt homey & comforting, but truly it was the staff. Fastest attention for a kidney infection on level 10 pain, shaking in my boots. I frequent emergency rooms like it's an air bnb bc of my kidneys so I KNOW quality care vs lack there of. Was there for literally two hours & you'd think I left with a kidney transplant bc of how well I felt. Maybe it was the drugs maybe it was maybelline. Not my typical Sunday brunch recommendation, but if you want the best of the best, Westlake is the place to be! Thank yall ‍

I'm not claustrophobic, if you are I don't recommend it. I waited about ten minutes before a guy came and got me to get ready for the MRI. He explained everything in the kindest way, but he didn't sugar coat it. It didn't really make me nervous, but maybe some anticipation slipped in. Then came Rene to perform the MRI. She also explained everything, just like he did, but for some reason a calmness came over me. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait for it to be done and it went over without a hitch. Then I went to the x-ray room. The girl took four x-rays in 2 or 3 minutes. She didn't have to read anything to know what to do, and she knew what positions I had to be in for the proper x-rays. She floated around like a little dove. This was the first time I enjoyed getting x-rays. I don't want to leave out the two girls at the front desk. As soon as I walked in I started to tell them my name and why I was there, but before I even started with my last name the girl gave me some paperwork that I had to fill out, since I was a new patient. Their kindness was explosive. Longhorn Imaging in Kyle is not your average Medical Facility. It's friendly, caring, and everyone knows their job like they know their name.
