So I have frequented this shop on several occasions during the last few months because my previous car was basically on life support, and I also wanted to get a true feel for their service. So, the verdict: the reviews are true!! This place is legit... Im usually quite skeptical about going to new auto shops because they can rip you off while you helplessly wait for your car, but Ron has not only been more than fair with his prices, he's also very knowledgable about cars, and will give you an honest opinion and accurate recommendations for your car. He's basically upfront, and willing to explain what's going on with your car, which I love, cause I certainly don't need the run around when it comes to auto repairs. He has went above and beyond in inspections, oil changes, LED headlight & fog light installations, and overall customer service for me and my new car. He run's a great shop and business!! and the waiting area is always clean and comfortable...plus, free wifi!! Support ARautoPro...cause I would never give a 5 star review to any auto repair shop if it wasn't truly deserved!! read more

arauto and ronaldo were highly recommended by a friend as an honest, capable shop - which is what i needed! i was in the health care "system" for almost a year being shuffled from hospitals to physical rehab centers and back. meanwhile, my suv 4runner sat in the driveway with the results being: 1.) needed new battery 2.) no highbeams/drl-1 disconnected, other busted - (wouldn't turn off-last year, before i went to hospital) 3.) outlets not getting power with power switch/engine on 4.) power windows were acting up and wouldn't operate from driver's door controls 5.) needed oil change, tires rotated, lubrication, etc. 6.) truck in desperate need of detailing due to pollen outside...and cigar smoke inside in less than a week, most of these problems were fixed (plug in outlets still not working, but usb port gets power) the detailing on the job was so good i wouldn't have recognized my 4runner if it weren't for the decals in the rear windows. i would highly recommend this business if your car needs some major attention. read more

I have had good experiences when bringing my vehicle (Jeep Grand Cherokee) here for routine oil changes so when my check engine light popped on, I took it in for them to fix. I dropped my vehicle off and immediately received a text with a list of "issues" that needed to be fixed. I agreed for them to do the work although my main concern was the check engine light. I left my vehicle at the shop for 2 days. When I picked my vehicle up, I paid over $2.5K and was assured that in addition to the other "issues", the check engine light issue was resolved. A week later, the check engine light came back on. I took the vehicle back and left it for a day. I was again assured that the issue was resolved and was "only" charged for a part that was replaced, but not labor. Great! Today, the check engine light is back on. Unfortunately , I will not be contacting this shop to "fix" it for a THIRD time. The staff is fairly friendly so they'd likely be willing to look at it again; however, I cannot trust that they will finally fix the issue nor can I continue to spend my time and $ there. I have gotten the vehicle scanned elsewhere and it is giving the SAME CODE as the original and that the shop claimed they fixed TWICE. I was also told by another mechanic that this should have been a fairly easy and minor fix had it been diagnosed properly the first time around. Very unfortunate that I can no longer recommend this shop due to lack of reliability and/or expertise. read more

Recommended by a family friend's shop. Called for a short notice alignment, they were able to take in my car next day. Dropped it off in the morning and within a couple of hours they called back and said my car was ready for pick up! I asked for it to be aligned with specific specs and they were able to. Easy drop off and pick up. Very fast too. Competitive pricing! read more

Giving an updated review! Been using Ronaldo's shop for two years now. Husband is also using his shop for his Toyota FJ. The dreaded check engine light goes on and off intermittently. I bring it in. Ronaldo calls me that afternoon to tell me that the high pressure fuel pump needs replacing - cost is 1500.00. Whoa. Here's the BEST part. Honest, honest, honest. Ron then tells me he CALLED Mini Cooper dealer and reads my VIN number to service guy and the part is covered under extended warranty from Mini Cooper and to take my Mini Cooper to the dealer to be replaced. DID I HEAR HIM RIGHT???? My car is 10 years old. Ron went the extra 1000 percent to call the dealer. He could have not called the dealer and I would've paid 1500 to have fixed. Now if that example does not exemplify his incredible character, I don't know what example will. He has again and again earned my business and I will recommend his shop ALWAYS. read more

Went in with high expectations and they were actually met! Got a complete pre-maintenance done on my Odyssey. When he gave me the quote for everything I was floored at the total. He told me that for the work that was being done this was a good price. I couldn't believe it. I checked at two other shops and the dealer. I'll be damned, he was telling the truth! They had my car 2 days and it has been running like new since! This is now my go to place for anything I need done on my cars! GG WP ARAUTOPRO!!! read more

Best Auto Care Customer Experience Ever! To make an appointment, ARautoPro followed up by phone and by email. The shop is brand new and has a very friendly, welcoming staff. The oil change took about 45 minutes and they even washed my car inside and out. I watched as the owner wiped my windows clean. After the service was complete they gave me a run down on maintenance recommendations and estimates of what it would cost without any coercion. This place was great. I want to business with them again and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs auto-care or a quick tune-up. read more

Every since my car got into an accident which required a lot of front suspension work, I have been working with Tory from Autobody Dimensions and Ronaldo from ARautoPRO to fix, replace, and retune my 06 BMW e90 330i. Because I've had this car for awhile (since college) I was very hesitant to not take it to the dealer, as I normally would have, because I was very specific to how my car should drive. It was Ronaldo and his brother Rob's expertise that truly stood out and made my experience with this shop A++. NOTES: Everytime I go in their garage, they are working on so many different cars, from Toyotas to 63' Corvettes, and Ronaldo (always sitting inside of the front engine bay haha) would jump out to greet me and see how he could help. Truly A+++ service and very professional mechanic. Made me feel like Ayrton Senna, tuning my F1 to every specification before a race. Via USAA, Autobody Dimensions gave Ronaldo the parts to replace about ~60% of the front suspension, steering rack, and fan motor for the Bimmer as well as adjust all the tires so the TPM lights were not going off every 10 seconds. **TPM lights flashed red after the work was done and he spent an extra 30mins to diagnose the code and fixed it. Extra care and attention to even the smallest details were appreciated. (After 5pm too)** After almost 2 months of work in and out of the shop 4-5 times, I finally feel comfortable driving my car around which is EXACTLY what every mechanic should have you feel after they work on your car. Thanks again Ronaldo and Salud! A.P. read more

Our year 2000 Camry needed front end work. Rob and Ron were very courteous and provided an estimate. The work was done on time and the final price was less than the estimate. This is an efficient and trustworthy repair shop. Harry read more

While driving on a road trip from DC to Harpers Ferry we experienced car troubles. Horrible, weird sounds coming from the rear of the car, which progressively got worse. Decided we needed immediate help and looked up the closest, highest rated mechanic. The brothers at ARauto saw us right away, figured out the issue in minutes - stuck caliper - which apparently was super dangerous as it was heating up the brake fluid. They broke down the cost of each suggested repair for us, and we found a solution that fit in our budget and addressed the most pressing part of the issue. Best of all, they offered an easy solution for payment and pickup that didn't ruin our weekend trip. If I lived in the area, I would definitely make them my go-to mechanic. read more

First time there, and was thoroughly impressed to find something so close to my house with such reasonable prices. To make things better, the staff was very professional and honest. I appreciate Ron for his help and suggestions. Will be coming back! read more

Rob and team are consummate professionals. They are personable, upfront and honest. While it's certainly not the cheapest place to get work done, it's definitely competitive and there's never hidden costs. You get what you pay for and my wife and I will continue to use ARAutoPro due to the customer service we experience each time we reach out or visit them. They're always aware of work we've previously done and follow up next time we're in to ensure things we've done in the past are still working. They never rush to get nice to do jobs done but give recommendations on timing so you can budget appropriately for the future. How an auto shop could have a five star rating was beyond my comprehension but every time I visit it is increasingly clear that this is the best place to have your car serviced in the DMV area. read more

Received very good service recently on my VW CC. Courteous, efficient and professional in the performance of a wheel balance/tire rotation. They even provided a free estimate of a small area that needs repair/painting. Thanks guys! read more

Rob and Ron have a great shop. I came in to have my aftermarket wheels and tires put on my Jeep and they took great care of me. The work was done impeccably. The price that I was quoted was the price that I paid when the work was done. No hidden extras like other shops. They took great care of my truck. Will definitely be back. 5 stars all the way. read more

We're so happy we had found AR Auto Pro a few months back, now it's our place to go fro any auto repair. Not only they know what they are doing, their customer service is above and beyond. Rob and Ron are actually trying to help and explain the problem, showing you what's exactly wrong with your car, instead of just trying to make you pay for the things you don't need. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put into our car. So far we had to have some major work done on our car: time chain replacement, all four tires replacement, door handle replacement, as well as minor filter change and regular oil change. Everything is always done on time, the turnaround time is very short - only for some major repair they would keep our car for more than 24 hrs. It feels like they're always making time for us, although they have a lot of other clients - amazing! So, I highly recommend AR Auto Pro - professional, fast, reliable, affordable and very welcoming. It's rare you can find people who are passionate about what they do, and who appreciate each and every client. read more

I was able to bring in my car without scheduling an appointment. Oil change was done in about 20 minutes. Only reason why I took a star off is because I wrote a message through yelp, asking for a quote on my car. However, I was charged more than the quote I was given, due to various parts of the car being dirty. I was afraid I would end up paying more than I expected, since this has happened to me at other places (being a short, Asian woman, I almost expect it to happen, now). Thankfully, I was able to use the $5 off coupon for checking in through yelp. One thing I am grateful for is that they didn't try to sell me different services. Everything was straight-forward and business-like, and the place is super close to home. read more

Very professional and very friendly staff! I went there for an oil change and it was done in about 20-25 min. They also detailed my car and did a meticulous job! I was advised on future work that will need attention and did not get harassed on work that "supposedly" needs to be done now like many other mechanics have said to me! If you want a mechanic who is knowledgeable, very fair on price, and most importantly honest, ARautopro is the place to get your car serviced! read more

I have been here a couple of times now for only oil change. This place has a small, but cozy waiting area with a nice selection of tea and coffee. It usually takes about 30-45 mins for oil change, which I thought was reasonable. If they find any other issues during oil change, they bring it to your attention and tell you how much it would cost. They also email you the quote for any services they recommend along the receipt for oil change, which was nice. I haven't had any other services done at this place, but I will be back for oil change. read more

I contacted these guys seeking a second opinion on an estimate that another shop had written. They were honest and told me that that shops estimate was fine. It was the Yelp 5 stars that initially had me consider going to AR auto Pro, 6 years ago, for body work on my daughters car. These guys also have very reasonable pricing...especially for the excellent work they do. I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. read more

Since I moved to DC (almost 3 years ago) I was looking for a very good mechanic shop where I could leave my VW safely and on trustful hands. After having many problems in bunch of places I finally found the ARautoPRO. Roberto, Ronaldo and their crew really know what they're doing. I always leave my "baby" with them and never regretted. I know I'll get the best service with them. Totally recommend it ;) read more

My 2001 VW Golf hasn't had AC for about 2 years, and after taking it into 2 other mechanics in the area and wasting over $1000 on useless "repairs," I thought it was hopeless. I recently got a job offer in New Mexico and realized I just can't make the 30 hour drive without AC, so I came into ARautopro. They diagnosed the issue as the compressor, and didn't charge for the diagnostic. I told them I needed my car in a week and they had it finished in 2-3 days. It was an expensive repair, but compressors are an expensive part, and I feel that the price was fair. When I went to pick up the car, they showed me what else was wrong with it without making me feel like I'm an idiot for not getting everything fixed (I recently failed an emissions test but wasn't as concerned with getting that fixed quickly.) They also showed me which piece I will need to replace to fix my emissions issue. Not to mention, my car was washed and vacuumed free of charge! They were polite, professional, and made me feel welcome and informed (which is very refreshing for auto shops in this area!) read more

I was in town from New Jersey for my daughter's soccer tournament, and my oil light went on. I have an Audi A6 from 2007 with 90,000 miles on it. I took it to Roberto, and told him about the light and that I also thought I heard some metal on metal noise underneath. He said that he noticed that the oil looked a little dark for something that was synthetic, and made sure that I knew to use the correct synthetic, and not a blend, next time. He had every opportunity to try to sell me something else, but he simply topped me off and charged a very reasonable price. Thanks Roberto! read more

Ron finished my oil change in about ten minutes, I just called ahead to make sure they could take me. They also helped me with a non-auto related side project(stripped screw on a battery). Very kind brothers who own the garage. Would definitely recommend! read more

I visited ARautoPro because I was new to the area and needed a mechanic that could handle different areas on my vehicle and had experience working with vehicles of many types. My 2012 Chevy Cruze needed some pretty hefty repairs (Tires,Engine work, and General Maintenance). I couldn't find anyone to do these repairs in a timely matter so I reached out to ARautoPro. Your always nervous when you give your car to a new mechanic and even once the repairs had been completed I waited a few months to actually write this review to make sure my car continued working, and it did! ARautoPro are experts in various vehicle types and issues. If your new to the area and/or looking for someone you can trust to handle the repairs for your vehicle GO TO ARauto. They are fast, responsive, and will ensure that you get a fair price. They have given me truly exceptional service and even better service then my previous mechanic who I stopped going to because he attempted to overcharge me. Go to ARAutoPro for all of your vehicle needs. They are experts in taking care of your vehicle. read more

After getting a ballpark number from dealer for 4k, these guys came back and did more work for a lot less. Very happy with service. Quality communication, which in itself is priceless. These guys are simply awesome! I have a 2012 VW Passat that had issues with its steering. Since I am new to the area, I chose to go with the highest rated shop and I haven't been disappointed even one bit. Their customer service is impeccable and their honesty, transparency and speed of delivery creates a very high level of comfort. They choose to put their service and customer's satisfaction above everything else. In my case, I have CPO warranty with VW and hence it made sense to get the repairs done from a certified VW dealer. They were prompt and quick in not only recommending the best one around, but they immediately put a call through to the dealer and let them know that I would be coming there. I have had an excellent interaction with them and highly highly recommend them! read more

Had my car hood ripped off and needed a local place to do the repair work for my insurance claim! Rob is the manager there at ARAutoPro, he helped with the whole process and it was pretty smooth. I have mostly done oil changes here and recently did my 25,000 mile maintenance. So far, my experience has been great with these guys. I found this place because the dealership wanted to charge too much for a simple 25,000 mile service. I decided to do an 'auto shop' search on google and this was the first place to pop up. And I'm glad it did. Great service. Ronaldo is wonderful and explains everything to you. Good prices (prices can always be lower, but these were better than some other places). Everyone here is very nice and makes sure you are comfortable while waiting for your car. They also have a board that lists the wi-fi password (bonus!). Usually I have to ask and beg for that in other places. I'd recommend this business to any and everyone. read more
