We called Aquatron to change our filter, big mistake! Before they came, our faucet, water flow, and fridge ice maker all worked perfectly fine. After their technician installed the filter incorrectly, our water flow basically stopped. They came back multiple times, each visit added a new problem and a new fee instead of actually fixing anything. Suddenly, the faucet was "broken" then it needed to be replaced (it didn't before) they insisted we purchase their faucet, and our fridge ice hasn't worked since they shut off the water line. This entire nightmare unfolded from mid-May to early July. They promised there would be no extra charge to fix their mistakes, then tried to stick us with another $275 fee. When we pushed back, they completely ghosted us, offering no response and no fix. This company's lack of accountability and sloppy work cost us time, money, and a lot of frustration. This company installed the reverse osmosis tank/3 filters under my moms kitchen sink at my suggestion. The water tasted good. Within a year they called to replace the filters, I said we could pass for awhile longer. A few weeks ago my mom gets a call from Aquatron stating they are in her neighborhood...really, cuz you all are based in Van Nuys and she is in Orange county. They said they could come right over and change the filters, they did not give a price quote or any info. Thank God my mom called me. I called them a couple days later only to find out that they had called again and were trying to schedule a visit. I asked what the fee was to go out and replace the 3 filters...$480. I asked the guy to break it down and got a dog and pony show. I told him I had a rough idea what the filters cost and thought that $380 seemed more fair, he disagreed. I sent an email asking how much for just the filters, here was the reply..."When you purchase the alkaline filter and basic filters together, they are sold as a "bundle" at $268 ; the alkaline filter alone is sold retail for $250, so that bundle is a great deal." Still pricey but I figured I would call and ask again about the installation. Again I got a dog pony chat about the quality of the filters, etc. The guy told me they could give us a senior discount which would be $403 not including tax and he would call me back. If the tax is around %10 that would put us at roughly $440-$450, some discount. I realize that businesses have to make a profit to stay afloat, but the way this company operates is deceptive and I feel are overpriced on there products. I was told they could install Chinese parts cheaper...lol. read more

I placed an order for an instant hot water tank on December 6, 2022. Eight days later, I still have not received a tracking number or order update. I've called and emailed every couple of days over the last week, to no avail. Their VM greeting claims that they "will be closed from November 24 to December 4" and to "please be patient with us". (They need to update their vm. The 4th has passed.) "For a faster response" please text 818-934-4090. Did that too. It would appear that they don't check email or voicemail at all, or worse, they ignore them. I've only just an hour ago tried texting. I both emailed them and called a week ago. Today is December 14th and they've not updated their greeting, they're not answering calls, returning voicemail messages or emails. My payment was processed on December 6, credit card has been charged, and I still have a leaky instant hot water tank. Buyer beware. Update: they answered the text, first telling me the item was on backorder, and then following up with "good news, your item is being shipped today." So I've changed my review from 1 star to 3. (If the item was in fact back-ordered, it would have been helpful to know that in advance. The website indicated that they had them in stock.) read more

I normally won't write a bad review for any business for lack of service or a bad product. As a business owner myself I can see sometimes employees or even business owners make mistake. That is not the case with this company. they deliberately charged for services not rendered, lied about the product they sold us and refused to remedy by any means because by doing so they had to admit they lied to us. We called 3 times in 3 months to get an appointment for a technician to come and see why the unit is beeping and not filtering and ever time we were able to get a hold of someone we were told they will get back to us and never did. Finally after 3 months they scheduled for a visit and no one came on the da of so we called again and told they are in the process of moving and re scheduled for a moth and a half later date. once again didn't show up and once again we are calling and calling to get a hold of someone. finally the owner himself picked up the phone and told me he has no time for me and I should not waist his time and said the technician will come the fallowing week. Well the owner himself came knowing exactly why we called him for but yet only changed the filters that we had just changed a month a go and charged us for filter and maintenance service charge totaling almost 900 dollars. when I got home I looked at the unit and still beeping and still had the same error code on it. so I called again and this time he said i should unplug the unit every 3 days and plug back in and do it for few weeks till he has time to come back. And when I asked why didn't you fix it his respond was once again he has no time to waist talking to me and I should wait to see if he can come back. I asked then if he will replace the unit or any part that is defected if that is the case and his renounce was, I have to pay for a new unit and pay to get it installed. 3 weeks passed by and finally I called and was able to get someone on the phone to make an appointment once again but this time they texted me the day before and said since I'm such a difficult customer they are not going to come. I called another company and they told me the unit was not installed properly and also the unit itself was a very cheep chines product that no filtration company would ever use. read more

Just had another service appointment. They called me to schedule it because it's been almost a year. The water quality is still very good at 33-35 TDS. Government recommends it to be below 500 and the tap is at 388, so I'm very happy with this number. Came on time and then sent me a receipt via email which I really appreciated. It really comes down to the water quality which is the best I've had. You can taste the difference. read more

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing an Alkaline RO system. Some people are so cheap, they wouldn't understand quality parts if it hit them in the head! IF you do your research, you will quickly understand that majority of the systems on the market are imported and do not contain the same certifications US made products do. Neither are they built to perform the same filtration that each specific Dept of Water delivers. Needless to say, its very important to my family that our 1yr old daughter gets the best nutrition and water possible. I splurged and got a US made product. Put your money where your mouth is and buy US made products. It truly makes our economy go around. PS. If you have the time go and discuss water filtration with Jack ( the owner) you will learn a few things that could impact your health in a very positive way. Highly recommend their services and replacement products! FYI, I researched companies like iSpring, Freedrinkingwater.com/Apec Water systems, and several others alike. Someone bought us the water filter system as a gift for under $500. Have had the system installed and in use about 3 years now. The water quality seems great. Not sure what a lab would tell me as far as cleanliness of the water but it "tastes" (water should not have a taste right?) and has very nice feel. Have changed some of the filters and I went back to the store to get the filters. Easy enough to replace myself. The person who came and installed it was real nice and did a neat job too. read more

The owner Jacob is great. He's honest and extremely knowledgeable. He is accommodating and passionate about his work. I called just after hours for a small part and he invited me to stop by anyways since I live in the neighborhood. He engineers his own systems with his team. He has both high quality American made filtration systems as well as the cheaper Chinese ones. He takes his time to explain the difference without any pressure, he truly wants to provide the best for his customers. On my first time meeting him we clicked and ended up talking for two hours sharing stories of our past and the current state of the world. I ended up buying an American made system, after two years of not liking the taste of my Chinese made system and feeling like it was contributing to making me feel ill especially after a snow board accident that hurt my liver and made me much more sensitive to what I put in my body. I can't imagine a better soul to do business with. Went there for a replacement part and left with a new friend. If u r in the market for a water filter I can't recommend Jacob and Aquatron highly enough. :) read more

THIEVES. Our company had a water system that started to leak, so in a desperate rush to get it fixed, we called these morons. The serviceman couldn't fix the leak, so he talked one of my employees into buying a whole new system for $600. Little did we know at the time, they gave us a system that only takes THEIR cartridges. The filter is $90 plus $80 for labor just to swap out the filter!!! We've become a slave to the company unless we swap out the entire system, which we plan on doing. You can get a Culligan reverse osmosis system for $250 and swap out the filter ($30) yourself. Same water quality, if not better. Oh well, you live and you learn. Don't buy things in haste. These guys are NOT to be trusted. read more

I was looking into a RO system for my condo and something for my mothers house. I checked out their website, saw they were in Glendale and decided to check them out. I was given a huge spill by the owner, who has such a thick Armenian accent I could only understand half of what he said. I really don't how this place stays in business, everyone was sitting around, staring into space, waiting for the phones to ring. The only phone that was ringing was the owners cell phone, and he would stop, answer it, and talk in Armenian in front of me to his "other customer". I thought that was very rude and disrespectful to do to an actual customer in front of him. He did not once, but 3 times! By the third time, I was done. Why should I give my business to someone who clearly wasn't interested in me as a client? He kept trying to push his "brand" on me, which meant that I would have to buy only his "brand" filters (at $125 a pop) and have his "techs" service them ($85 service call + $125 for filters- not including the cost of the thing PLUS the install COST!!) . It just seemed like a big ole' sham to me. For literally pennies on the dollar I could go to Target and get a Britta water filter jug, which would do the same thing that he claimed his $400 RO system would. The only thing in his store that might be worth the money would be the soft water system.....but thats a maybe. This place is just a waste time. read more

It was as if he was just talking me into a sale (which he did). Many units online are also made in USA and are built with quality. Replacement filters online are much cheaper. Most of their products (at least what I bought) are designed and manufactured in the USA. You may find the same product cheaper elsewhere, but they are mostly made in China with really low qualities (This is what I've personally found out after doing two months of research). Water quality is excellent at 26 ppm after changing the filter. Brita water is at 260 ppm. Needs filter change and service every year from the company. Recommend it especially if you have children in your house. read more

I have been working with Aquatron for 18 years now. It is a small business which i like to support. Recently, I have upgraded my reverse osmosis system with an amonia removal filter ( I checked before and there was amonia in it). According to them, there was need for some modification on my current unit. The technician came and did the modification. He was very nice and knowledgeable . I checked the water later and there was no amonia in it :). I did not know there is amonia in city water. They are local and employees are knowledgeable. Sometimes it pays off to listen and trust people. I wold recommend their service to my friends and family members. read more
