Roland was our contractor and he gave us very reasonable estimates and stayed within budget and stuck to the timeline. They did artificial turf in our front yard and added a concrete step pathway to our front door. We were extremely happy with the way it turned out. They also did a waterfall feature in our backyard which did have a few issues, like the motor going out several times. However, every time we reached out to Roland, he followed through and sent his guys to resolve the issue. He stands behind his work, and even when the motor stopped working after a year, he sent one of his guys to buy us a new motor and get it installed without charging us for it. We were absolutely impressed with the way this company takes care of their clients and does not give up until the customer is 100% satisfied. Last month, we contacted Roland asking if he could do a small job for us; we wanted artificial turf installed on the small strip of dirt on the other side of our driveway, and even though the job was super small, Roland agreed to take the job. We had gotten another estimate from someone else and Roland's quote was far more reasonable. He sent his guys and they got the job done in two days. Overall, we are impressed with the quality of work, the very reasonable pricing, and integrity of standing behind their work. While landscaping companies are a dime a dozen, good ones are hard to find. Roland and his team at Newland Landscape are pure gold.

The only time you'd hear from the contractor was when payments were due. Terrible contractor, would not recommend to anyone.

My very large backyard was a bit tricky as there were many elevation changes that required some top planning expertise in the way of drainage. Now almost 2 years later - everything still looks and works great! Could not be more pleased. Whomever provided the 1 star rating for them is obviously not a customer.

My wife and I lease a home in Seal Beach and last year the owner wanted to increase the lease amount at renewal. We knew this additional money would go directly in their pocket and my family would get zero benefit from it. In a moment of genius I countered with "What if we up date the backyard instead" that way your property value could benefit and my family gets a nicer backyard to spend time in. He agreed and everyone was happy. Fast forward to getting the work done: When I made contact with this company they were very courteous and responsive. They came out to the property and spent over two hours with my wife and I going over the possibilities. Of course we shared our budget (I won't share here) and they promised to get back with a couple of design choices. Four days later we got the call, met for coffee and reviewed the options. Every option was within budget making the hardest part deciding which to go with. We eventually decided (my wife did) and they put the wheels in motion. Understanding we were not their only client we knew there would be a slight delay in getting started. During this time we got constant updates and a short 30 days later we were enjoying our new backyard. It was 100% worth the wait and we recommend this family owned business without hesitation.

They took total advantage because we're elderly and know nothing about plants. We just took out the $3000.00 worth of shit They sold us. 1) they sold us tropical even though I said they wouldn't work because our backyard gets too much direct sun and heat. Anthony assured me that didn't matter. All that mattered was water. They ALL died within a few months 2) I was told the drip system they installed could be adjusted for each plant to get more or less water. Not true 3) I explained the dirt they were planting in was old and depleted. I was told the dirt didn't matter. They did not treat the dirt or even fertilize what they planted. 4) the drip system they put in had a control that it has a 300 page online manual. Even their installer didn't know how to set it up and was unable to explain it to me. YET he told me it needed to be updated every 6 months when we changed the batteries. Of course we were not told about this requirement until instalation was completed. As I said earlier we are elderly! I asked for a simpler timer and they said there was no option. 5) they are NOT woman owned and operated. Yes, the scamming husband put the company in his wife's name for tax purposes but she CLEARLY knows nothing about plants or landscaping. When I had them come out to see the dead plants she never spoke. Her husband and Anthony did all the arguing and yelling and put all the blame on us. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism in any service industry. All I asked for, and still feel we are entitled to, is a refund. The dead plants have been removed, the inadequate drip system has been removed, and we are starting over. I was duped by a morally bankrupt company. Don't be fooled by the fake reviews on their web page! They have no place to leave a review on their web page and they aren't here so where did those reviews come from?? THEY ARE SCAMMERS! BE WARNED!

A few months go by and our old backyard fence was in the final stage of falling apart so we contacted Alex (aka turtle) who provided the initial quote for us and he came back out and gave us the final numbers and all. We ended up getting the whole backyard wood fence taken out and a new vinyl fence installed. Chris the project manager was always in communication with us and his foreman Ivan was always on site and answered any questions we had.
