We were told the spa light could not be replaced because they were unable to pull a new wire. The "new" pool cleaner was actually a used one made from spare parts and installed with not enough hose to reach the entire pool. I could not recommend Apex. I'm thankful we decided to go with a different company for our pool maintenance.

Called Pool Knights back to begin weekly service. I had the pool completley clear and ready to be serviced when they arrived. After 4 weeks of service and numerous calls about not enough chemicals I fired them. They added salt to a chlorine pool!!! WHAT! Only once out of 4 weeks did they added enough chemicals to control the algae. Last Sunday my 73 year old husband added 5 pounds of shock, (at our expense) brushed and vac pool..and this took care of what THEY WERE TO DO. I have CLOSE up pictures and video to prove EVERYTHING. After I cancelled service I called them again about a bill I got for 6 weeks of service and only performed services 4. I asked for a refund. No one will speak to us. You have my email, my cell and my husband's cell. So many ways to communicate, why do you not? Why do you bill for services not rendered? Why will you not call me back and offer a refund? Why did you send the pool cleaner out to my house after we fired you? Run from this company, they are not what they advertise!!! Buyer Beware..they bill in advance!!!

They came in professional smart and knowledgeable they quickly won our bid and eventually signed with them. The reason they won out bid is because of all the positive things they were saying. They were promising us to be there everyday that there was workers and that their contractors were a phone call away waiting to work. Promises we quickly learned were empty. Michael and mike started off great on the physical work. The workers came in and dug the pool formation and quickly set the steel within 2 days but that was as bright as this project got to be. From that point forward they spiraled downhill and quickly. Days became weeks before workers would show up and every time there would be an excuse as to why someone didn't show up. On multiple occasions I'd stay put at home waiting for workers to show up and they never would. I would let it slide but after multiple experiences I quickly noticed I had gotten myself into something bad. My pool was being built from June17 and wasn't finished till mid August. With about a month of wasted time. With all the wasted days that had past Michael made the decision to go ahead and plaster my pool before the deck was even complete because of Harvey coming and a decision I was never notified of. Unfortunately his workmanship shows in the plaster and other professionals have told me the plaster was rushed and done very bad. When the storm passed they came back to finish my deck and drainage. Which does not even do its job. Please view photos. Another thing I'd like to review is Cali Pools of Texas will rush to receive their money even if the job is not complete. Please be completely aware of this company they are not professional and it is much safer and less of a headache to go with the bigger companies. Overall Cali Pools of Texas is not a trustworthy company to work with at all with very low business ethics and workmanship. I would not recommend to go with them. Go professional and not amateur. I do not have the ability today to go back and make the right choice by sending Cali Pools of Texas away but if I did I'd surely do it. I had a pool and hot tub built by Abyss Pools and Spas (Houston) 7 years ago. Never have had any…read moreissues and we all love our backyard! Have never had to contact them since. Just a day ago one pipe connecting to the hot tub heater corroded where a hole existed due to weather etc. This really is normal wear and tear. Energy company had to turn off the gas and a recommended contractor came out immediately and quoted us 10K to replace the entire piping etc. The pool is only 7 years old and this didn't make sense. I then contacted Abyss Pools and Spas. I was reassured that and given the piping underground is state of the art polyurethane, corrosion will not occur with the underground pipes. Only the above ground piping may need replacing as we can see where the hole/gas leak is occurring from corrosion. Within 48 hours an Abyss rep is going to be at my house to assess the piping and fix. Stated cost would be around $500. That is a huge difference from the 10K we were quoted earlier. Excellent customer service and cannot believe after 7 years they immediately will help with repairs etc. Thank you! Highly recommend!

They replaced both pumps effortlessly and affordably. The pool heater problem turned out to be not the heater, but my gas line which was quickly identified as the culprit. The line was full of water. They blew out the line and hooked it back up and it now runs like a charm. Both Daniel and Brian remained courteous and extremely knowledgeable at all facets of my entire system. I can quite easily without hesitation recommend them for the maintenance on any part of a pool system. I know I am finally completely satisfied at finding a company that can meet any of my future problems (which we all know will happen -- not if, but when). Now, if I can only find an electrician ....
