I want to thank you for all your yelp friends who gave high remarks to Aquatec Pool Plastering. It was based on your comments which encouraged me to call Anthony. We need to have our pool re plaster and under the budget. Anthony came in to give us all the options to keep the cost down. He is very professional and he really knows his stuff. He and his team was able to start the work in a few following days. When his crew came, they are just as professional as Anthony. They found where the bar was rotten and fixed them. Please check the pic 1 and 2 which shows one spot among a few of other rotten bars they found. There was a broken pipe for the water leads to the pool. Anthony promised that he could cut open the concrete to fix the pipe and matched the gravel to the original one. He did what he promised. Please check pic 3( before) and pic 4 (after). The new patch was not dry yet when the picture was taken but I can tell it will match with the old one when it is dry. The project is not complete done yet but I am so pleased with their work so far that I like to share my experience with you first. The other thing worths to mention is that Anthony himself powered washed our aged concrete floor next to the the pool and the front entry way as well for free. Anthony's crew replastered our pool in May. He returned my initial call very quickly and was able to come out that afternoon to give us an estimate. He understood immediately what we wanted and did not try to upsell us. The crew came on time and did the work on the schedule Anthony gave us. After completion, he gave us detailed written instructions on how to complete filling up the pool and to bring the water into chemical balance. We are happy with the color and the job. It is important to be very clear on the details. Anthony answered texts in no more than half a day. The one area for improvement: his crew could do a better job of cleaning up afterwards; left a couple of rags in the pool. Other than that, the experience is what one would hope to have for the type of work that could end up being a disaster. It was a comparatively small job done correctly in a timely manner. read more

Aquatec replastered our pool about 10 years ago - I dug in my records to find it was end of 2007. It looked fantastic when first finished, but I have since learned that what really matters is how it holds up long term. 10 years seems a long time, but from what I read online, a plaster job should last at least 15 years. It's an expensive undertaking so the consumer relies upon the plasterer to know what they are doing and to deliver a result that holds up over the years. After a few years, the areas that had not been properly smoothed started to show up. Once rough spots get algae, good luck getting rid of it without draining the pool. But the last six months have been the worst. Massive cracking along a large portion of the pool bottom and tiles falling off the sides mean we have no choice but to redo the pool. You can clearly see one of the cracks in the attached picture. This time we will find someone else to do it. Buyer beware! read more

We just had Aquatec replaster and retile our pool. Anthony is very passionate and professional about the job. He is also honest and doesn't up sell anything not needed. We are on a budget for the project and Anthony was able to provide a very reasonable price. The work is smooth and his crew are fairly good. Aquatec Pools built my neighbor's pool. During the construction our fence was damaged. I was assured by Anthony Padilla, the Company's President that the fence would be repaired. Although our fence was partiality repaired, two areas of the fence were not fixed. I informed my neighbor that the fence repairs were not complete. This information including photos were sent to Aquatec. When I witnessed my neighbors final payment meeting with Anthony, we asked him why the fence had not been fixed. Anthony said that his company's inspection indicated that they had not caused the damage. I'm not sure how they could come to that conclusion as no work had been done in my neighbor's yard prior to the pool construction. At the final payment meeting, Anthony offered to fix the other areas of the fence. The point of this review is that he doesn't investigate customer complaints timely and that you have to continue to be your own advocate to make things right. I would caution anyone who would be doing business with Anthony or any of his businesses. read more

It went well in the beginning, and then all downhill. Our concrete pad is so sad to look at. The lines are all off. There are boot prints in the concrete. They sealed over dirt on the concrete so it looks dirty all the time. It's OBVIOUS that it is dirt, but Anthony swears they cleaned the pad correctly, although he was rarely there when the people were working. His first crew ran into all of our fences with a bobcat and cracked into the neighbors' yard. We found a bunch of Corona bottles in the backyard, so they must have been drinking while grading the yard. He always had an excuse for the sub-par work. He wasn't there, he "sent his B team", "I don't know what happened", "I've run out of excuses", "has a "million dollar pool going at the same time".... Every step needed an excuse of why it was flawed. EVERY STEP. We still need to fix the fences his team broke. Our mastic is bubbling. UGH. We waited 11 years to save us for a sub-par backyard. read more

He was right on time and we went through all the the options. I decided that night I would go with Aquatec and within 3 days they were on-site and finished demo of my hot tub and pool in one day. Anthony was able to save all our old tile, which was still in good shape, including the tile on steps and a sailfish mural on the bottom. Our first meeting was with Anthony personally, not any salesperson, who walked us through the process, gave us options and a "no nonsense" estimate, that was the actual final price we paid. He referred us to a great pool service to "open and balance" our newly plastered pool. He kept all his promises, his men were very courteous, respected our property, and cleaned up and put away their tools each day they were at our property. He becomes your friend and seems very helpful, unfortunately he doesn't think that part of his job is explaining to you how to take care of having a newly plastered pool and other systems. He also finishes the job and vanishes. He didnt explain that the grey grout we chose accumulates calcium build up faster than lighter colors, as well as the tiles we chose are very hard to clean without damaging because they are so delicate. Sure, I should have done more research, but that is why I chose Anthony, because I trusted his judgment. One year after getting new plaster, tiles and a salt system, our pool looks like hell because of calcium build up and marks in the pool plaster. Anthony kept telling me that my chemicals were off, yet I have records from every month showing that my chemicals were within normal limits. I will not be recommending Anthony's services to anyone. The sales job is very slick, but don't hire Anthony. While he brags about his massive fancy jobs, that soon becomes your problem. For whatever reason, once you've signed the contract, it's very hard to get his attention again. He's full of excuses about how busy he is and very hard to work with. He came back and asked for more money several times on an already quoted job. He also seems to be pinching pennies with his subcontractors who are overstretched and will tell you that they don't like him.
